Blazer Bonanza from Goodwill

Now that the weather is starting to warm, soon it will be time to change out my wardrobe. In my closet I have a lot of blazers, most of them purchased from Goodwill earlier in the year. There are several good reasons to buy from Goodwill, not only are your purchases helping others with job training and employment but when you no longer want or need an item you can re-donate it and get a tax deduction.
Most of these blazers were $3.75 or less and are labeled, Jones New York, Leslie Fay, Talbots, Kasper, Areo and Bergdorf Goodman

Goodwill Deals

My weekend visit to Goodwill in Middletown cost me $20.25, I am hunting for a jean vest that I didn’t find I did however, find a few other things.

Long jean skirt with split up the sides – $3.75 and a pair of new white heels – $4.00

Black Skirt – $5.00

New Worthington Black and Grey wool skirt – $3.75

Men’s vests for my son – $3.75 each

Kmart Clearance

I went to Kmart to get a coffee maker, I really just needed a new carafe for my Cuisinart, thanks to my son who broke it on President’s Day. Sometimes it’s cheaper to buy a new coffee maker plus I didn’t feel like driving to Bed Bath and Beyond without a coupon. Anywho, as I walked around I noticed their normal clearance rack and was immediately drawn to the cosmetics. I am always looking for a good concealer, I have yet to find one that truly banishes the dark under-eye circles. There were bins of Almay, Revlon, Wet n Wild and other name brand cosmetics for .50 each, I was running late so I only got these few items.

If I had more time, I would have been gone through these with a fine tooth comb!

The Fragrance Gift Sets are on sale for $4.00, these can be used for travel or placed in a basket in your guest bathroom/bedroom for visitors. The Cosmetic Gift Sets are also $4 and they would make nice gifts for teenage girls, or as additions to your own stock.

I had to make a return to Boscov’s yesterday, I told Malik the shoe bag wouldn’t work in his “doorless” closet…but did he listen …no! Anywho, as I was making the return I noticed this display of Wicker Baskets for $1.99 each and of course my mind began thinking of several storage uses: In the bathroom/powder room: hair clips, cotton balls, Q-Tips, makeup, hand towels, makeup, perfume, guest towels, potpourri. In the kitchen: tea bags, napkins, vitamin bottles, seasoning package’s, etc., In the bedroom: bracelets, rings, pins, remote control, potpourri, small toys, etc. In the office: paper clips, pens, post it notes, desk drawer organizers. The baskets can also be spray painted to match the decor of any room.

Department Store Deals

Today’s “staycation” day was spent shopping with my sons. Our first stop was Burlington Coat Factory, my son found a few vests on sale for $15.99, he is attending a Sweet 16 party tonight. I found yet another pair of black heels for $9.99, two dresses for under $20 and two tops under $10.00.

Our next stop was to DSW, I got a $100. gift card from hubby on Valentine’s Day. I saw a few pair that I really liked but am waiting on the Spring styles, however, I did find these on clearance for $20.00.

Last stop was to Boscov’s where I purchased several “As seen on TV” products including the new Lint Lizard, I have a fear of the dryer catching on fire. I also found nail decals similar to Sally Hansen’s on sale for .99cent, regularly $2.99.
