Today it’s warm yet foggy due to the increase in temps making the morning commute a little slow. There were several fender benders on 95N, one of which was almost mine, however, my Guardian Angel shielded me from it making it a near miss.
You may remember when I purchased this outfit from Boscov’s (here), but it’s the first time that I’ve worn it. This evening is my son’s Open House, and depending on traffic I may not have time to change clothes. I wanted to wear something that would be comfortable enough to take me from work to walking the halls of a High School.
What do you think of this “from the office to the halls of high school” attire?
Wearing the green pair of Mossimo embellished flats from Target and necklace from a Flea Market Vendor.
Hello Friends and Happy Sunday – on this the beginning of a new week I hope your day is going well.
Saturday was an eventful day but the most memorable event was the sunset that occurred around 4:45 pm, unfortunately I delayed and missed getting a few shots. However, if you look closely at these pictures you can catch a glimpse of it over my shoulder in the far background.
I was leaving to accompany my girlfriend who was going to Lewes, DE for a “Passion Party” She is a consultant and asked if I could ride with her because of the distance. Driving down wasn’t bad but coming back the fog was so thick it made for a slow return home.

I very rarely if ever pay full retail price for any article of clothing or accessory and I rarely if ever shop at the stores in the mall. However, yesterday was one of those rare occasions because I stopped at Best Buy which just happens to be next door to the Concord Mall. I love the various clothing lines at Boscov’s but you really have to take your time because of how they have them set up throughout the floor. It was late and I was heading out the door but a 75% off clearance sign grabbed my attention. I only spent a few minutes going through a few racks and purchased 3 items, totaling $32.74.
NY Collection Embellished top with bat wing sleeves ($48.00) on sale 5.99
Brown Premise Pencil skirt ($58.00) on sale $14.50
Chaus knit top with faux leather shoulders ($49.00) on sale $12.25
No matter how hard I try, I can never seem to find anything at H&M, but at New York & Company it’s a different story. Not that I needed more jewelry, but when the sign reads 80% off, it’s too hard to resist! I purchased two statement necklaces one in red and another in blue for $4.59 each, original price was $22.94.
Leopard print casual sweater ($36.95) for $11.08, and sleeveless green top ($36.94) for $7.39
If you are looking to add more jewelry to your collection, I suggest you check out New York & Company – I may go back because they are sending me a coupon for completing the survey printed on the receipt!

Wow it’s already Thursday, are you looking forward to first weekend of the year? It seems like the holidays flew by and the Valentine’s candy is now starting to fill the store shelves. Speaking of stores shelves, I stopped by the Concord Mall last night and found some great bargains at Boscov’s and New York & Company. They each had clothing and accessories marked 30-80% off, I’ll show you what I got in a separate post.
Today’s outfit was also a bargain as it was totally thrifted from GW Boutique -aka- Goodwill
Leslie Fay Suede Skirt // Apt 9 Blouse // Joan&David Pumps // Talbots Lime Green Blazer – all via GW Boutique (Goodwill)
I hope you had a nice weekend and are ready for the week before Christmas 2012. I’m in a mellow mood which may be attributed to Friday’s events and the weekend news reports or perhaps it’s the dreary weather. Whatever the reason, it is definitely a melancholy Monday.
Today’s outfit is totally thrifted from GW Boutique (Goodwill) except the Pashima, purchased from Boscov’s

8 days after Thanksgiving – I am grateful and 2 days after the biggest Powerball Jackpot in history – I am still grateful!
This week instead of doing an Outfit of the Day, I put together collages to showcase my “Wardrobe of the Week”. I am getting a little more comfortable taking pictures with the tripod but the backgrounds are all basically the same- ((^_^))

Hello friends, I hope today, the beginning of your new week was a blessed one. I was tired this morning but vowed to get to church and thankfully I did. Service was good but it was “Harvey Day” so it was a bit more crowded and lasted a lot longer, ending at 2:00. I would have stayed for dinner but needed to go grocery shopping so I rushed home, changed clothes and headed to Costco and Safeway.
Traffic on 95 was horrendous, took the exit ramp into the mall only to realize that the traffic lights were out and all the stores in the mall and Costco were closing. We didn’t wait to find out why there was a power outage just quickly turned around and headed back south to Safeway.
I wore a sleeveless dress to church, thrifted from Goodwill covered with a 3/4 sleeve jacket that belonged to my grandmother (RIP Mama). My Mossimo heels from Target, clutch from DSW and “lap cover” scarf from Boscov’s.
After church it was still warm so I threw on a pair of shorts also thrifted from Goodwill, top from Walmart, loafers thrifted from Salvation Army and a belt from my closet.
