Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
It’s going to be another cold weekend so I’m staying indoors to do some early Spring cleaning…yes, I’m even doing the boring chores. I don’t know about you, but I am super anxious for the warmer weather to get here so I can shed the layers and put away the snow shovel. Even though we have several more months before we get to that point, I wanted to at least get a jump start on it now.
I refuse to let the wintery winds of January stop me from thinking about or even shopping for the Spring season because now is the best time to do so. I recently signed up as an affiliate for Hannah Jane, a new online boutique with some great clothing and accessories at affordable prices. I found a few cute pieces on sale/clearance that I will be adding to my Spring wardrobe, take a look and let me know what you think.
I recently saw a fellow blogger in a classic white T-shirt, so I want to incorporate them into my wardrobe. This Yellow Bubble necklace would be a perfect accessory to jazz it up.
Fuchsia is such a fun Spring color and in jeans it will be great for a casual Friday outfit.
You know that I love all things Polka Dot and this top paired with a Houndstooth infinity scarf would be great to wear on an early chilly Spring morning or evening.
Or would it look better with the red scarf?
You definitely can’t go wrong with a White or Ivory button down blouse and I wish they had this skirt in stock!
I immediately feel in love with this striped comfy, casual knit dress. I could wear it with boots as shown or with pumps to work or even with ballet flats to run errands on the weekend. What do you think?
We do have a few months of cold weather ahead, so I’ll wear a turtleneck underneath this sweater.
AND… I finally found a pair of riding boots in my price range!
The great thing about shopping at Hannah Jane, other than the prices is that they offer FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $50, and a flat $4.99 rate for orders under $50.
If you get a chance, head over to their website and take advantage of the 20% off one item sale and if you sign up for the Newsletter you’ll get an additional discount off of your first order. #winning

I make money on some products and services that I talk about on this website through affiliate relationships with the merchants in question. I get a small commission on sales of those products. That in no way affects my opinion of those products and services.

Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
What are your plans for the weekend? As with most of the MidAtlantic area we have had rain and overcast skies all week and it’s supposed to be the same tomorrow and Sunday so there will be no pool lounging. I will however, be lounging around the house, doing a few chores and working on my blog, and maybe take a few naps in between.
Today’s casual Friday outfit is “faux lace” floral jeans from Rugged Wearhouse and a simple cinched waist Faded Glory top from Walmart.
Blending in with the deck pillows!
Cut-out wedges were purchased at Marshalls 2 years ago, never worn
I always have to wear a belt with low-rise jeans
Enjoy your weekend – Smooches!

Hello Friends, I hope you had a great weekend and an enjoyable tax-free Monday!
I woke up this morning thinking it was Sunday. The weekend came and went with such quickness that I though we should have had one more day free from work, but no such luck! We did manage to get some yard work done before the heat returns because it is not fun pulling weeds and trimming trees in intense heat. I love this time of year with all the flora blooming but it reeks havoc on my son and his seasonal allergies. This was my grandmother’s favorite tree and every Spring she’d look outside and say, “Toni, did you take a picture of that tree” – I do miss her so!
Mama, here’s a picture of that tree.
These trees are on the side of the house, they bloom then change green in about 2 weeks.
Pencil Skirt and Top – Target // Fioni Peep Toe Pumps – Payless
I didn’t wear them to work because my knee is still swollen, but thought they would work with this outfit – what do you think?
Engjoy the rest of your day – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday, I hope you are having a pleasant day.
I was up early this morning after a late night of house cleaning but it felt good to wake up without chores and the ability to have a leisurely breakfast with my men. I do however, need to get into my closet to remove the avalanche of clothes currently on the floor. Today’s outfit is a pair of jeans that were altered to give it a Boho look, which was a DIY project that was posted here in March.
Top – Rainbow Shop // Belt – closet staple // sandals – gift from Africa // necklace – jewelrymax.net
Linking up with Saturday Morning Coffee – hop over to meet a new blogger
Have a great afternoon – Smooches!

We had a major storm Friday night that knocked out the power so Saturday morning the house was quiet. No tv noise in the background and thankfully Malik’s laptop battery had died as well. He and his father decided to play a game of chess. The board was removed from where it sat for a very long time and I noticed a lot of dust, so I added dusting to my list of chores.
I have a China Closet in the living room which my grandmother had restored and given to me as a gift. I decided to open it up and dust all of the little knick knacks inside and pics of my ancestors on top. There are so many memories inside of this China Closet, I even thought about pulling out the photo albums but then the electricity came back on!
