Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday
Yesterday’s snowstorm was predicted to start around noon in our area but it actually began at 9:00 a.m. in West Chester, PA. However, before it’s arrival the sky was highlighted by a brilliant sunrise. #GodsLight
Knowing that I would be driving home in a snowstorm, I opted to wear pants to work as opposed to a dress or skirt.
I wore a denim shirt under this handmade vest which I had to take back from my son. Hubby had these matching vests made way before we had him so it was kinda funny when I had to retrieve it from his closet.
Brass and Bead necklace was a flea market find and ring was purchased at Burlington Coat Factory. My “work” shoes are from Kmart and although they are not very fashionable, they are extremely comfortable.
These faux suede pants are closet staples and are part of a two piece suit which I have had for years.
The snow continued with a vengeance so I left work at 11:30, but the roads were so bad that I didn’t get home until 5:00 p.m. Needless to say, I was upset and tired but I was also extremely thankful because there were so many cars stuck in snow and on the side of the road, I could only think “I’m blessed”.
This was 5:30 – what a difference a drop in temperature makes!
Sunrise to Snowstorm!

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
I hope your week has been going well and that you are now gearing up for a wonderful weekend. Two Saturdays ago I drove to Claymont to meet Erin, a model in the 2014 Goodwill Runway Show for her final fitting.
We met to find the last few pieces to complete her wardrobe and afterwards we did a little thrifting for ourselves.
Erin found these metal pieces which she said she’ll use as candle covers, vases for artificial plants or maybe to hang her earrings. What do you think, what would you use them for?
This Briggs New York Skirt will be added to my collection ($3.75) and the new Victoria Secrets Handbag will be part of the Goodwill Runway Show Boutique.
I hit the jackpot in the men’s department and was able to stock up on sweaters for my sons and hubby also $3.75 each #winning
Can’t beat finding a J. Crew sweater for only $3.75
Too bad this shopper found this faux suede jacket first, otherwise it would have been in my cart! Don’t you think it would have been perfect with the skirt?
Even with snow on the ground, it’s never to early to think about Spring and Summer shoes. Check out the embellishment on these acrylic sandals – cute!
Now I need to gather more items to donate back to Goodwill!
Have you done any winter thrifting, if so, why not share at Thrifters Anonymous
DON’T FORGET THIS WEEKEND’S SALE AT ALL GOODWILL DE/DELAWARE COUNTY LOCATIONS!

Another “return” trip to Ross yesterday after work (remember this one) and found a few new beauty and “As Seen on TV” products.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Seen on TV Strutz Cushion Arch Supports; 1 size fits all men and women. They have non-slip soles made of breathable fabric and can be worn barefoot, with sneakers, sandals or heels. Hubby complained about his feet yesterday so I’ll ask him to try them out and give me a review, $7.99
As Seen on TV Cami Secrets in Zebra, Leopard and Cougar prints. I previously purchased a 3-pack in solid colors (black, white and beige) and have worn them under low V-cut shirts/dresses. They are light weight, cool and attaches easily to the bra straps, $6.99.
Absolute! Make-up Cleansing Tissues, 33 per pack with Pomegrante Extract. There are 8 more cleansing cloths than most other brands, cleans well and cost only $2.99.
Hollywood Fashion Secrets Accessory Dots with Bonus Fashion Tape. “When you don’t need a lot, use a dot!” I have always wanted to try this product, according to the packaging it can eliminate gaps in your tops/wrap dresses; hold straps; adjust hemline/length; secure necklines, scarves and accessories. $2.99 for 25 double stick tape dots and a bonus 6 strips of fashion tape.
Remember when plastic hangers replaced wire ones and we all loved them….well now they are being replaced with velvet hangers which are better. Keeps delicate clothing and straps from falling off, gives more room in the closets (for all those hauls and are great for hanging accessories, belts, scarves and jewelry. 20 pack for $9.99.
“NO MORE WIRE HANGERS” – Joan Crawford, Mommy Dearest
And the reason for my return trip – an exchange for these!
Rampage Faux Suede and Snake Skin pumps with 4.5″ heel and 1″ platform – $18.99.
I remember the days when you could purchase clothing at Goodwill for 1 or 2 dollars. Of course back then, thrifing wasn’t as popular or considered a chosen alternative to department stores. There were always vintage boutiques where you expected to pay more, but never at Goodwill – not until now. Here are a few items that I found at Goodwill in Thorndale, PA which ranged in price from $3.50 to $5.00, this location also receives unsold shoes from Target which is a good deal.
