When Did I Teach My Sons How To Peel a Potato?

Crazy Discount! Low to $0.29 with Coupon Code: STAND. Lowest Prices to Get Cool Toilet Plunger Stand for Mobile Phones! All Free Shipping Worldwide! (Ends: Aug,14,2014)

Hello friends, I hope all is well in your world.

Sometimes I used to wish that there was a manual with chapters that could answer questions about raising my sons, questions like when was it a good time to teach them the basics.  When do we teach them how to cook and clean or manage a household? When do we teach them how to write a check or pay a bill?  Do we teach our daughters differently than our sons?

So many questions ran through my mind and now with them starting college in a few weeks, and the youngest leaving home for the first time, a strange question popped into my head, does my son know how to peel a potato?

What Chore is a Bore?

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday

I hope you had a nice MLK Day of Service Holiday and was able to do something special and not boring like cleaning the house!  Speaking of which, what chore for you is the most boring?

Is it sweeping and mopping the floor?  It may be a boring chore but it’s mandatory if that “5-Second rule” is to apply!

How about washing and drying clothes?  Thankfully, my sons have been doing their own laundry since the age of 12, but I still hate doing mine and hubby’s!

How about cleaning out the refrigerator?  Just how long can you keep that opened jar of jelly….one or two years?

What about dusting?  I don’t really mind it, but I just can’t figure out how dust can settle in an area that we don’t use.  We don’t enter the house using the front door so why is that foyer table always dusty!

How about bathroom cleaning?  My sons are each assigned a bathroom to clean and needless to say they find it boring!

Hands down for me, the kitchen table basket is the bore chore.  This catch-all basket contains coupons, store inserts, and junk mail that I want to read later. Between this basket and the junk drawers they have got to be the most boring chore ever! (hey…there’s even a Christmas candy cane in there)

OOTD – Sunny Saturday

Hello friends and Happy Saturday – December 1st – wow where did November go?  Today was a beautiful, warm and sunny day made even brighter with a visit from my girlfriend Weyata and her pretty little ladies – Ashleigh, Rochelle, Hannah and Maggie.  It had been such a long time since I last saw my twin “nieces”, Ashleigh and Rochelle, I couldn’t get over how big they had gotten.  I still remember getting the call from Weyata at 2 in the morning to get to the hospital for their birth, they are now two lovely young ladies.  They also have two more sisters Hannah who is a hoot, with a big personality and Maggie, who definitely is the “baby of the bunch” and makes sure everyone knows it.

My household chores were done before they arrived so after they left I had time to get to the nail salon.
