Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
Yay, today my energy level is high, and I am getting excited about having off next week – I hope to take a day or two and just do nothing! I also plan to use a day to clean out my closets and prepare a large Goodwill donation before the end of the year. Raising a glass to a productive and stress free day – cheers!

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday, I hope your day is proceeding according to plans.
Today we are experiencing more unseasonably warm weather but the temps are expected to plummet tonight with a cold blast of winter winds. This weekend I’ll sort through my “bin o sweaters” to determine which ones I’ll kept and which ones to donate. I am not looking forward to the cold weather ahead but it’s the price we pay for living on the east coast.

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday.
Today is Tayair’s first day of work – Yay, Congratulations and welcome to the wonderful world of adulthood! He was hired as a seasonal employee for Amazon.com and will be packing those wonderful holiday gifts being shipped from Delaware.
Today is also “Preppy Day” at Appo High School and here’s Malik’s version of being preppy.
Today was also the first time I used the tripod and timer and I must admit that it’s harder smiling for a camera when there is no one behind it – lol

Hello friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday. I am still playing catch up after a busy yet fun filled 3 day-weekend. I was off on Friday so after my mammogram I went to the nail salon and then to Rugged Wearhouse for gear to wear to Sunday’s Breast Cancer Awareness walk. Saturday was Homecoming at my Alma Mater Delaware State University, the classes of the ’80’s were in full force, I saw people that I hadn’t seen since graduating in 1983. The icing on the cake was the beautiful weather for the entire weekend – God is truly good!

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday. This morning I had an hour long conversation with a cousin that I met only once, 12 years ago at my father’s funeral. We talked and laughed as if we had spoken just last week. Our conversation was enjoyable and we both learned a little more about each other and our families. These days it seems as though personal letter writing or conversing on a LAN line has been replaced with texting, instant messaging, tweeting or facebooking. We need to connect on a more personal level with family and friends especially as time marches on and our lives shorten. Today I vow to call her more often as well as having live conversations with other family members and friends.

Happy Hump Day Wednesday, I hope you are having a peaceful yet productive day. I am trying my hardest to wear as many summer outfits as possible before the cool days of Autumn arrive. I have a feeling that like summer, the tempetures are going to be extreme but at the opposite end of the thermometer. I haven’t worn this outfit (here) since the Spring when I was chosen “DC’s Friday Fashionista” (here). It was after that post that I remembered the wheel in the garage, where it has been stored for over 20 years, guess it will soon become a yard sale item. I vowed to include it if I ever wore the outfit again…and today is the day, it fits in with the Nautical Anchors Away theme.
This is also the first time wearing these wedge sandals, purchased online from Urbanog.com along with several other pairs in April (here).
Doesn’t the first shot look like I was saying, “don’t start nothing and there won’t be nothing!” – lol

Hubby was a bit more awake this morning so I gave him a second chance and with a little editing using Pixlr and PicMonkey today’s pics are better. The dog days of summer are winding down but the heat remains so today’s outfit is cool and comfortable for “Hump Day Wednesday” I had to alter the neckline of this thrifted dress with a few stitches because it was cut very low, however, it’s still a very feminine look. The rhinestone embellished sandals were purchased two years ago and are extremely comfortable and goes well with this dress. I am allowing my nails to breathe for the rest of the week so I am sans polish on my fingers and toes.
