As an Independent Sales Rep for Avon for over 15 years I’ve seen many changes all of them good. OOTD – Warm Up Wednesday January 30, 2013

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday

Today it’s warm yet foggy due to the increase in temps making the morning commute a little slow. There were several fender benders on 95N, one of which was almost mine, however, my Guardian Angel shielded me from it making it a near miss.

You may remember when I purchased this outfit from Boscov’s (here), but it’s the first time that I’ve worn it. This evening is my son’s Open House, and depending on traffic I may not have time to change clothes. I wanted to wear something that would be comfortable enough to take me from work to walking the halls of a High School.

What do you think of this “from the office to the halls of high school” attire?

Boscov's and New York & Company Clearance Sales January 4, 2013

I very rarely if ever pay full retail price for any article of clothing or accessory and I rarely if ever shop at the stores in the mall. However, yesterday was one of those rare occasions because I stopped at Best Buy which just happens to be next door to the Concord Mall. I love the various clothing lines at Boscov’s but you really have to take your time because of how they have them set up throughout the floor. It was late and I was heading out the door but a 75% off clearance sign grabbed my attention. I only spent a few minutes going through a few racks and purchased 3 items, totaling $32.74.

NY Collection Embellished top with bat wing sleeves ($48.00) on sale 5.99

Brown Premise Pencil skirt ($58.00) on sale $14.50

Chaus knit top with faux leather shoulders ($49.00) on sale $12.25

No matter how hard I try, I can never seem to find anything at H&M, but at New York & Company it’s a different story. Not that I needed more jewelry, but when the sign reads 80% off, it’s too hard to resist! I purchased two statement necklaces one in red and another in blue for $4.59 each, original price was $22.94.

Leopard print casual sweater ($36.95) for $11.08, and sleeveless green top ($36.94) for $7.39

If you are looking to add more jewelry to your collection, I suggest you check out New York & Company – I may go back because they are sending me a coupon for completing the survey printed on the receipt!

Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!!!!!

This week really flew by and there’s definitely a chill in the air – “it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” – are you getting excited? I don’t have any major plans for the weekend and since my sons are older I don’t have to stress about the holidays but I do want to make a Gingerbread house.

Tomorrow night I may walk around the neighborhood taking pics of the pretty houses or perhaps just sit on the sofa watching movies drinking Egg Nog. What are your plans for the weekend?

OOTD – Sensible Shoes December 10, 2012

Hello Friends and Happy Monday, 15 days until Christmas and the 7^th day of Hanukkah 2012.

Today is one of those, “jump back into bed pull the covers over your head” type of days. It’s cold, damp and dreary, but it’s also another day the Lord has kept us so I’ll rejoice and be glad in it. However, the dreary weather is cause for my dreary outfit including the sensible shoes.

Hello friends and Happy Fri-Yay!

I don’t know about you but I feel drained and exhausted – events leading up to and the final day of 2012 Election really wore me out – thank God it’s over!!!! It was especially nice driving to work this morning without seeing the negative anti-Obama signs and billboards. I hope they got their money’s worth because I never saw it from the Dems and we were victorious.

Last week my youngest son cleaned out his closet and gave me clothes that he no longer wanted to be donated. This black and beige argyle sweater was a gift to him last year and now I have it back. He definitely won’t be getting any new sweaters from me this year!

OOTD – Monday Minimum September 24, 2012

Hello friends, happy Monday and what a beautiful day it is. Every morning when I wake up I give thanks and think of how truly blessed we are…that after saying, “aaw man, I have to get up and go to work again!”. Monday is not my favorite day and today’s outfit isn’t my favorite either, just two solid pieces together, nothing special. Both the maxi skirt and top are closet staples which I have worn several times throughout the years, however, this is the first time wearing the Polka Dot peep-toes pumps. I’ve tried them on and even posed in them (here), but have never wore them out and they are quite comfortable. I should have gotten a half size larger because when I walk my feet slides forward causing the toes to stick out too far, need to get those gripper inserts.
