Hello Friends, when you’re heading out for brunch with hubby or lunch with the ladies do you find choosing just the right thing to wear a daunting task? Do you open your closet door, stare inside and say, “I have nothing to wear?” Well when hubby and I decided to head to Aqua Sol for Sunday Brunch, I knew exactly what I was going to wear.
This Polka Dot Sheath dress from Midnight Velvet was perfect for an afternoon at the Marina. Sleeveless with a side zipper made it comfortable enough for sitting in the sun and the polyester/spandex blend made it stretchable enough to enjoy a meal without it being too tight afterwards.
I chose to wear my “caliente” pumps to match the red belt which gave it more of a colorful pop.
As part of Midnight Velvet’s Summer 2014 catalog this dress is definitely a confident summer style with pizzazz. The side pockets were a nice added feature and perfectly sized to drop in my cell phone.
Now to assist you with the “I have nothing to wear” dilemma, Midnight Velvet has offered to give one of my lucky readers at $50 Midnight Velvet Gift Certificate. This Rafflecopter giveaway will end at midnight on June 30th, so hurry and enter today.

Disclosure: I received this item free of charge from Midnight Velvet. No monetary compensation was received or offered, all opinions are 100% my own.
Growing up in Dover I remember getting excited every time a Midnight Velvet catalog came in the mail. As soon as one arrived my grandmother and I would snuggle up on the sofa and flip through each page. She loved the large colorful church hats, and I loved the shoes, jewelry and decorative tops. I liked seeing the beautiful clothing the models wore, but always secretly wanted an animal print bedroom set, however, I knew my grandmother would have said, “no”.
I still love looking through the pages of a Midnight Velvet catalog, and now I have an opportunity to review a product from their Spring 2014 catalog. Of course I thought of my grandmother, knowing she would have been excited for me and wished I had chosen one of those big, colorful church hats.
However, for this review, I selected the Monte Carlo Gold Caftan. It arrived in a zebra print box which I’ll definitely re-purpose later. I loved that it was exactly as pictured in the catalog and fit perfectly. The Caftan is two pieces with a machine washable polyester tank underneath. Extra sequins are included for the nylon top which only needs to be spot cleaned.
The Monte Carlo Gold Caftan is perfect for a night out on the town with hubby or perhaps to a special church event which I know my grandmother would have liked.
Midnight Velvet has fresh new Spring confident styles for a beautiful you and your home. Check them out on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, and Pinterest, and be sure to follow their Beauty Blog for the latest fashions, styles and trends.
I am also excited to announce that they have offered to give one my readers a $50 Midnight Velvet Gift Certificate.
This Rafflecopter giveaway begins today and will end at midnight on March 15, 2014, so hurry up and enter.
Once you take a look at MV’s online catalog, come back and leave a comment as to what item you would purchase if you won the $50 Gift Certificate.

This is a sponsored post for Leonisa, for more information please read my Disclosure Statement located in the top tab.
When you hear the word Shapewear, do you automatically think of undergarments made specifically for women? In actuality there are probably just as many men as women who wear Shapewear although I doubt many will confess to doing so. Shapewear does more than just take inches off your hips and waist, making you look better in your clothes. It can also enhance your posture and aid in relief with back pain. If you’ve ever had back problems then you know that it can be a life long concern, one that causes you to pay closer attention to your movements and sometimes even to your choices in clothing. Eight years ago, my husband had a total disc replacement in his lower back and to this day he still has to be careful in how he moves and turns, as well as what he wears. Belts are too constrictive so they are no longer part of his wardrobe, suspenders have taken their place.
Leonisa, is a company that sells Intimate Apparel and Lingerie for women as well as Toning and Shapewear for men. After viewing their online catalog I decided to show it to my husband and asked if he would be interested in doing a review.
He agreed and chose the Leo High Waist Control Boxer Brief and wore it for the day. As an athlete, he’s used to wearing supportive undergarments and thought it might be too tight around his back and midsection. It turned out to be the complete opposite, it was non-constrictive and the breathable mesh made it comfortable for an all day wear. The size he chose was large which for him is 36-38, and it fit perfectly, washed well and air dried quickly.
If you are looking for a comfortable undergarment for the man in your life, check out Leonisa and make sure to sign up for their specials and discounts. I’m glad my husband participated in this review, now I know what to include on my holiday gift list. If you also have a man in your life that would like a Leo High Waist Control Boxer Brief, Leonisa is offering to give away one free to a lucky reader of my blog. Please like our Facebook page to enter and the winner will be chosen on 10.31.13.

Last week while blog hopping I entered a giveaway contest to win a scarf from The Posh’mina. One of the Rafflecopter’s entry requirements was to leave a comment on the company’s Facebook page. After viewing the online shop I chose the Hi’biscus style and commented that I would love to feature it on my blog. Within a matter of hours I received a reply from them with an offer to send one – wow the power of Facebook. (now I need to find a giveaway that offers to pay my bills-lol)
Anywho, a lovely lady by the name of Debbie, also touted as being “Fashionably Fifty” from The Posh’mina contacted me, stated that she liked my blog and would love to send a scarf for me to post. I agreed and said that I would wear it to church taking pictures from there, however, upon receipt I was like a kid at Christmas and couldn’t wait to wear it!
The company’s promo states that they had evolved big scarves to become more fashionable and versatile than ever. I definitely have to agree because of it’s design; the slotted arm holes is by far the best feature. How many times has your pashmina scarf fallen off your arms and onto a dirty floor in a public place? The innovative design of the slotted arm holes prevents this from occurring as well as the constant adjusting and slip sliding from the shoulders.
As like most scarves The Posh’mina can be worn various ways
I love the print of this scarf, the style is Hi’Biscus and there are currently 15 styles available online. Made in India, designed in the United States and are 100% Viscose. Dry cleaning is recommended but I will hand wash in a tub of cool water and Woolite when it needs to be freshened then lightly steamed pressed with an iron.
