Hello Friends and Happy Monday
After a wonderfully warm weekend the temperatures have reversed course and fallen back into Autumn, dropping down into the 30’s and 40’s! Yesterday I was in shorts preparing for the pool opening and today I am wearing fall clothing – this is crazy. The forecast calls for 80 degrees by Thursday so we will be going from sweaters to sleeveless tanks in less than a week, I don’t remember Spring temps being up and down like this – do you?

I ordered my NutriSystem foods today to get “Summer Time Ready” – wish me luck!
Have a fantabulous afternoon – Smooches!
Last week’s heat wave officially ended on Monday with temps only reaching 89 degrees, but today it’s expected to be 92 or higher. Last week my outfits were shorts, tanks and bathing suits but that’s not going to fly at work, so cotton is the perfect fabric to keep me cool in this weather. The sleeveless cotton shirt and skirt were thrifted from two different Goodwill stores earlier in the season.

No makeup, heels or jewelry, only shorts/tanks, sandals and a bathing suit for 5 wonderful, sun-filled days. Whether it’s called a VACATION or STAYCATION, living “the Life of Riley” is a beautiful thing. Sleeping in late; eating breakfast on the back deck; poolside lounging; laughing with and loving family and friends was the perfect way to spend the long July 4th Holiday. It was also the first time that we did not go out to watch fireworks, I did however, watch Wawa Welcome America and loved Lauryn Hill’s surprise performance. I was also able to watch more of the Twilight Zone Marathon, “Time Enough At Last” with Burgess Meredith is my favorite episode! I did do a little yard work and paid the price with my annual case of poison ivy – oh how I hate the itch!!!
I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend and now it’s back to reality!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and was able to enjoy this beautiful Sunday a day the Lord hath made. The weather is gorgeous but the sun is intense. My men and I worked outside yesterday and I have yet to put on sun screen (smack my hand) and my back is getting darker and darker. Today Tayair and I went grocery shopping at Food Lion, once the weather heats up my menu lightens up so I was able to get everything for less than $100.00!

If you’ve read the July issue of People Style Watch or any other fashion magazine you’ll see articles about ways to dress up T shirts and tanks with statement pieces. I discovered an Indian Boutique in New Castle that carries some really nice items with reasonable prices. I purchased two pairs of earrings and toe rings which were placed in a box as opposed to a plastic shopping bag which was a nice touch. The boutique also carries Indian designed dresses, scarves and shoes but the jewelry is the true deal, currently 40% off select items. The next time yor’re in need of a nice statement piece for a casual t shirt/tank or special event, check out the Indian Fashion Boutique.
The boutique is located at 335 S. DuPont Highway, Buena Vista Shoppes in New Castle, 302-276-1569 Indian_Fashion_Boutique@yahoo.com
