Viggle – Are You A Couch Potato – There’s An App For That!

Get Paid To Watch TV!

Viggle app Viggle is a loyalty program for people who watch television, it gives rewards for checking into the TV shows that you are watching.  Available for Android, Apple iPhone®, iPad® and iPod touch®, Viggle automatically identifies the television shows its users are watching and awards them points when they check-in.

*Viggle users can redeem their points in the app’s rewards catalog for items such as movie tickets, music, gift cards or they can convert them into charitable donations.

Viggle works by using the microphone on your device to listen in on the TV show or movie and gives you the option to share what you are watching with friends. Viggle’s basic integration is with Facebook and Twitter but telling Viggle what you’re watching is for your own personal gain.

You need to be a couch potato because the minimum amount of points needed to redeem a reward is 7,500, or approximately 60 hours of tv-watching. You can also get bonus points by tagging live TV shows, special events, or watching ads within the app.

*Check  out this free app and take note to any changes that may have occurred since this post first appeared.

I currently have 20,034 points and am thinking about cashing in or I might wait for a bigger reward!

If you’re like me, a mom blogger and active in social media here are 3 easy breezy steps to take that will gain you more influence and upgrade your status in the blogosphere:

Sign up for Sverve and connect your Facebook or Twitter account.
Look around and follow some of the other influential moms – like me
Share Sverve with your other mom friends.

You can also make $ with Sverve:

  • Add up to 5 areas of influence on your profile

  • Ask your followers to endorse you

  • Share quality information on the Sverve platform i.e. blog posts and tips

  • Share frequently

Your Influence Score will be based on the real endorsements that you get as well as the type of content you create.  Your score increases the more people like, favorite and share your tips,  you will have to share a lot and connect with other mom bloggers for this to happen.   As you get more endorsements your number starts to raise and the higher the number (and your spot on the leaderboard) the more likely you are to be hired if you meet the job requirements.

OOTD – Son said, "what?" Saturday

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday, I hope you had an enjoyable day.

I am sitting at the kitchen table sipping Ginger tea trying to accept the fact that son #2 is no longer my baby.  He and I had planned to go to Best Buy to purchase Dragon Speak software and an external DVD drive for his Notebook.  I asked him to take a few shots before leaving and as he reluctantly did, he informed me that we had to be home by 4:00 because his “girlfriend” was coming over.  “Girlfriend…girlfriend…did he say girlfriend?”

January 2013 013

I was all smiles as he hadn’t told me yet

January 2013 015 Huh, what did he just say?

Don’t get me wrong, he is 16 and has had crushes on girls before but this was going to be the first time I was actually going to meet “his girlfriend”, the first time a girl was coming to the house.  I know…I know…but I’m gonna need something stronger than this tea!

January 2013 021 And he knows that if he doesn’t do the right thing, these will be up his butt!

January 2013 017 Just grin and bear it…..

January 2013 020

Mossimo boots – GW Boutique // Black Jeans – closet staple // Leopard print top – NY&Company // Neon Vest – Old Navy (clearance $3.49)

Linking up with quite the blog – hop over and meet a new blogger

Have a fantabulous evening – Smooches!

Holiday Open House

On Saturday, The Home Based Business Chamber of Commerce hosted a Holiday Open House at The Java House Cafe in Middletown, DE.  In attendance were small business owners representing Gold Canyon Candles; Mary Kay; MICHE Bags; Jacfred Creation; Logan Insurance; touchpro; Girl Friday; Duct Tape Accessories; Slumber Parties and Send Out Cards.  The Java House Cafe provided mini Jerk Chicken, Veggie and Turkey Panini sandwiches as customers shopped and mingled.

Delaware’s state slogan “A Small Wonder“, was fitting for this event as it was a small gathering, however, I see the potential for rapid increased growth due to the hard work and diligence of President, Jaimie Shanklin.  The Chamber’s 2nd Annual Holiday Extravaganza is being held Sunday, November 25th, at the Executive Banquet Center in Newark, DE.  Holiday shopping and a live performance by Best Kept Soul is sure to bring out more people from throughout the state.

For more information on The Home Based Business Chamber of Commerce (Delmarva Chapter), please contact Jaimie Shanklin, 302-784-5311, or visit www.homebasedbusinesschamber.com.
