Time: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Friday and Sunday; 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturday
Location: Chase Center on the Riverfront, Wilm., DE.
Price: Adult – $10, Children under 10 – Free
Parking: Free
Attractions: NEW 2013 models, life-size car cake, sports stars, kids fun zone, and more!

BLACK TIE GALA

Date: Friday, Oct. 5
Time: 7:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Location: Chase Center on the Riverfront, Wilm., DE.
Cost: $125 for one. $200 for two. Tickets limited.
What: The exclusive formal affair of the 2012 Delaware Auto Show. Join us for amazing food, a live band, open bar and casino room.
Benefits: A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Needy Family Fund.

OOTD – Monday Madness September 17, 2012

Happy Monday my friends. This morning was full of drama, while having breakfast we got a Robo call from the school’s Department of Transportation. The bus driver had quit and they were looking for a replacement but wasn’t sure what time the bus would arrive. My son, being anxious to get to school…(yea right) whined and begged to drive my car. He had driven me to Dover and back on Saturday so was comfortable with the car, however, it was his first solo trip. I gave in and let him drive, praying until I got the call from the school that he had arrived safely and my car key was in the office. Tayair had to drive me to his school to pick up my car and en route his windshield wiper flew off. It was foggy and his defroster took almost a 1/2 hour to clear the window but we made it safely and he went to his shop to have them replaced. I was an hour late to work but it’s three days before my birthday, my son’s are safe so it’s all good.

Got the call and I was happy!

Mother's Day Will Be Bittersweet May 11, 2012

Mother’s Day will be bittersweet

today at 50, I’ve been a mother for almost 20 years
my grandmother was 50 when I was born, she took me & my sis under her wing at the age of 57 and lived to be 98
Mother’s Day will be bittersweet
the parent of a 3 month preemie weighed a mere 2.5 lbs, not sure if he would live or die
my God is Awesome
i look in the mirror and see my mother
bore but did not raise me
died before I really got to know her
feared I would have to care for her in her old age
grandmother said in order to live a long life you have to treat everybody right and pray
Mother’s Day will be bittersweet
not a friend but a fierce protector and provider
mother never saw her grandsons
a mother of 2 black males – RIP Trayvon
in the store – keep your hands out of your pockets or they think you are stealing
don’t lower your eyes
know your history – never forget where you came from
work hard
no fear
believe and achieve
no drinking drugs or wild and crazy women
pray
bless your food
be grateful
study hard
eat your food
don’t eat too much candy
Mother’s Day will be bittersweet
don’t curse, fight, drink or do drugs
wash and dry your clothes, sew cook and clean – I am raising some woman’s husband
slow down you are driving too fast
look in your rear view mirror
keep your eyes straight ahead
at 98 I held her hand as she transitioned, my guardian angel, my protector, teacher, minister and enforcer

what did i do to deserve this
God why?
teach me how to swim
can’t breast feed
crying all the time
will this ever end?
fell off the bike
pregnant again…fear
water broke…uh oh
never got a maternity leave
slow down
barium swallows, mri’s
mcdonald’s ball pit

pediasure, pedylyte, nebulizer, syringe, pulse ox, nurses
pick that up
put that back
don’t play with that
leave it alone
boy don’t make me come and get you
i’m an orphan-no mother
