Hello friends and welcome to another episode of You Choose the Shoes. Today’s outfit was for a casual Friday as you know I don’t normally wear pants to work. These black and white ones were purchased from Walmart #WearWalmart and the sleeveless top was a purchase from either TJMaxx or Ross.
The contenders for this week are Red & White Gingham versus the Simply Red wedges both of which are from Payless.
The bracelet is Old Navy, statement necklace, Walmart and watch from Avon. Which pair do you like better with the printed pants, the pattern or is that too busy?
Perhaps the pop of brighter red looked better?
What do you think?
Thanks for all the votes from last week and for the first time it was a tie!
Hello friends and welcome to another week of “You Choose the Shoes” I didn’t pull out all of my spring and summer shoes last weekend, but I did add to the collection, so look out for some new contenders. In the meantime, let’s check out these oldies but goodies.
It’s another week of peep toe versus closed toe, and speaking of toes, hubby gave me a gift card to Sunlight Salon so soon I’ll be getting my seasonal pedicure!
I kinda like these “granny boot” peep toes and the color can be worn with a lot of different outfits, however, I chose to go with this neutral color skirt from Spiegel.
Of course, snakeskin is also considered a neutral color and it should be treated as such. Now that I am looking at all the accessories, I’m thinking…”what was I thinking…”
Hubby was messing with me on this Monday morning, as you can see from the next picture.
Okay, so which one did you choose, the peep toes from Kmart or the Snakeskin from Target?
See I told you…and thank you all for voting in last week’s contest…the winner was…
Have you started wearing your summer sandals?
I hope your day is as beautiful as you!
BTW, have you checked out my new blog – www.bloggingwithblake.com
Hello friends and welcome to Week 3 of You Choose the Shoes. I think I have gotten my husband back on schedule with the pics and now that the weather is warmer he is more committed! Last week I wore a black and white outfit but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do the same with the shoes, so I definitely need your help in choosing this week.
These cute Cushion Walk black and white shoes are from Avon and the Caliente Reds are from The Shoe Dept in the Exton Square Mall.
I tried to break up the black and white scheme with a few red accessories, bracelet from Old Navy and watch also from Avon. The necklace and ring are both from Walmart, part of my recent #WearWalmart statement necklace/jewelry haul.
I think with the Torte Caliente red pumps the accessories are more noticeable, what do you think?
Oh, and by the way, everything else is thrifted from Goodwill; the black top, maxi skirt and white belt. Have you checked out the new Goodwillde.org blog yet? I did tell you that I was writing a “5 under $25” feature didn’t I? Well which pair do you choose?
Thank you for all voting last week, the winners were the nude pumps by an overwhelming majority!
welcome to week 22 of “You Choose the Shoes“. Next Saturday I begin the dreaded task of cleaning out closets, donating items that I no longer want or fit and of course changing out the summer shoes for fall and winter ones. I have already started wearing a few pairs as evidenced by today’s contest, but before we begin, let’s see who last week’s winner was:
Ladies and Gentlemen, for the 2nd time this season, the DSW Polka Dot Peep ToesWin!!!!
Thank you all for your votes and of course your comments, I always love reading what you have to say. Now for this week the contest is between Suede and Snakeskin pumps, two of my favorite fall shoes.
The Chinese Laundry Suede pumps are another purchase from DSW, and the faux Snakeskin pumps are from Target. The leopard print insoles are from Dollar Tree.
I purchased these Chinese Laundry pumps several years ago, I love the tie accent in the back.
This skirt is from Spiegel and top was purchased from Marshall’s also several years ago.
Pattern mixing with these faux Snakeskin pumps which were part of a major shoe haul from Target.
Okay, so which pair do you like better with the top, because the skirt is so neutral, any shoe would work with it.
Will it be the Snakeskin, OR
Will it be the suede?
This is an interchangeable Miche’ purse which I ordered from a rep at a holiday Open House a few years ago, as a matter of fact most of my outfit is at least 2 years old. I haven’t bought too many new items this year thanks to Malik’s High School graduation party and college tuitions!
Have you made a decision yet?

I hope all is well in your world. I am slowly but surely getting adjusted to having only one son at home with Malik now away at college. He seems to be doing well, last week I received a few text messages and 1 phone call! I can now fully appreciate the “call your mom” statement.
Thank you all for the votes last week, it was a close race but the winner squeaked by and it was the NO Bow Dollhouse beige wedges.
This week you will be choosing between high and low, as in flats versus heels.
These gorgeous heels were actually given to me from fellow blogger, Nout over at SandpaperKisses and when I saw them I was blown away in love! If you get a chance go over to her place and show her some bloggy love – she is just too adorable!
Not only were these shoes a perfect fit, but the platform in the front made them uber comfortable. Now they may not seem as comfortable as a their contenders, these well-worn pair of color block flats purchased from CitiTrends.
These ballerina flats are also very comfy, but for only a short period of time. I need arch support so I find wearing flats for long period of time uncomfortable.
How about you, can you wear flats without discomfort?
So are you ready to choose? Which will it be, the flats or…
…the heels? But of course before you make the final decision, take a look at them solo.
Are you ready to submit your choice?
Flats with the skirt for a comfy casual look
Or heels for a dressier look?

Welcome to week 18 of “You Choose the Shoes”. I am happy to report that the denim shoes finally won NOT! Believe it or not, it was almost a tie but Ms. Elle squeaked ahead at the last minute.
Thank you all for voting and especially for making me feel good with those “you looked so young comments”!
It seems like denim just can’t win em! I know these heels were nice but must agree that they were a bit much with the denim maxi dress. I did however, get suggestions on what to wear with them…so here is one way, what do you think?
Now onto this week’s contenders who are vying to be the chosen one for this colorful maxi dress.
Both lend a little Island flare for the end of the summer. First choice are the Montego Bay slides from Payless versus Charlotte Russe slides or as I like to call them “lady in red”.
I love wearing slides with maxi dresses, because they are so comfy to slip on and easy to kick off under my desk or while driving the car.
Do you think the Montego Bay stripes are a bit too much and clash with all the colors in the dress?
How about the red Charlotte Russe? Is it just enough of one color to pull in the red from the top as not to be overpowered by the other colors in the dress – what do you think?
which will it be, the lady in red?
OR
Montego Bay Stripes
Before you choose, take a look at them solo:
Okay, after leaving a comment below hop over to see Karen aka MrsLookingGood because she has some awesome Up Close and Personal features!
welcome to Week 17 of “You Choose the Shoes“. The yellow Mossimo Pumps were definitely the #1 favorite in last week’s contest. Most of you felt it highlighted the yellow in the dress and I totally agree, thank you all for the comments.
This week we are going with a more casual look. I actually have two pairs of denim shoes, but unlike those studded cut outs these are much more comfortable. They are going up against “Ms. Elle” another very comfortable pair of summer slides or slip-ons.
Each pair are contenders to be the best match for this uber comfortable t-shirt dress from Rainbow Shops. I only wish it came in more than two colors because it was so comfy that I could wear one everyday.
Worn with these Elle slides the outfit is perfect for a weekend of afternoon shopping or outdoor dining.
The denim straps are also comfy casual and I think they bring a little more attention to the bracelets – what do you think?
So which one would you choose?
Ms. Elle – grazing in the tall grass
poolside
or
the denim straps?
But before you decide, take a look at them solo
Okay, have you made a decision?
So which pair is it going to be?
Ms. Elle or
Madame Denim?
You choose the shoes then leave a comment below. I will be back to respond after reading a few blog posts over at Bloggy Mom’s linkup party.
How did you do with last week’s selection? It’s so funny because sometimes I get immediate comments on a particular pair and other times not so much, I guess it all depends on the outfit.
A few of you stepped outside of the box with the white wedges from Urbanog, I guess because of the colorful and sassy skirt, but the winner of last week’s You Choose the Shoes were both pair – yes, ladies and gentlemen it was a tie!!!
There’s a first time for everything and I want to thank you all for the vote.
Now on to this week’s contenders, which are both fun and funky, so I’m thinking this may too may end in a tie but we’ll see.
The red ones are a previous purchase from Rugged Wearhouse and the Black and Beige are a recent purchase from The Shoe Dept.
Okay, now I know you may say, the red because of the belt, but look how great the colors match up in the dress with the black and beige pair.
The dress is from Ross and take a look at the side zippers, they are brass which is also the same metal in the rivets on the shoes.
I chose to wear brass accessories as well, ring and watch are both from Avon and I can’t remember where I got the bracelet.
Are you ready to make a choice?
Will is be the red sandals?
OR
will it be the black and beige sandals?
One last look!
Leave your comments below. I am heading over to read some posts at the Bloggy Mom’s June Blog Hop and when I get back, I’ll respond.
Here we are again at another week of “You Choose The Shoes” and I am delighted that so many of you have commented that you look forward to this weekly feature. Trust me, I am enjoying it as much as you are and since I have so too many pairs of shoes, this is going to last for quite some time, at least until the first snow fall.
Now last week might have been a “gimme” because of the statement I made about the black and white sandals from Avon, so you know who won right?
This week’s contenders are once again regulars to the party, they are Avon versus Target
Open toe versus closed toe but they are both patent leather.
This is one of many sheath dresses purchased from Burlington Coat factory and tomorrow’s post will be featuring more of these summer sheath dresses.
Are you ready to choose, will it be the purple and black color block pumps from Avon
Hello friends…you know what day it is…it’s Hump Day but it’s also “You Choose The Shoes” day!
Last week’s contenders were definitely not in a tight race but the comments for both were coming in fast and furious, however, you know there can only be one winner so congratulations to everyone who voted for….
CARLOS SANTANA’S SEXY SANDALS!!!
I’m expecting this week’s contender’s to be a bit of a challenge only because they both look good with the outfit and are both equally comfortable. So let’s take a look, shall we:
If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram you saw this outfit already but so you know the skirt is from JC Penney and that the top was thrifted from Goodwill. The iPad case and watch believe it or not were purchased from Avon and if you haven’t checked out a catalog lately click here.
The first pair of shoes are xhiliration via Target and were purchased several years ago. I wear them at least 4 times during the summer months because I love the mustard color and they are very comfortable. The second pair were purchased online at Urbanog.com, and were part of a major shoe haul where I ordered more than 5 pairs on the same day (here).
I love the pops of neon colors which was also very popular in the mid to late 80’s.
Okay, it’s time to choose the shoes, will it be the mustard yellow xhiliration wedges from Target
OR
the peach sandals from Urbanog.com?
I can tell this is going to be another tough decision which is why I like having you in my closet!
You choose the shoes, then leave me a comment as to why you chose them. In the meantime I’ll be heading over to see the ladies at the Personal Style Linkup, then I’ll be back to respond to your comments.
