Thankful Thursday | Emotional Week

Hello Friends and Happy Thankful Thursday!

Last week was an emotional roller coaster filled with both highs and lows. Monday, I taught a Blogging 201 class:Monetizing Your Blog, and it was a full house despite the torrential downpour of rain.

At the Bear Library

Everyone was enthusiastic, asked questions and participated in lively discussions, it was one of the best classes to date.  Thank you again Money School of Delaware for giving me this opportunity not only to share knowledge but to sharpen my skills and expand my base.

OOTD

Teaching again is helping to lay the foundation for my 5-year plan leading up to retirement/encore entrepreneurship.

April 2014 004

My outfit of the day was a black pencil skirt with floral embroidery thrifted from Goodwill, a sleeveless mock neck tank also thrifted from and faux snakeskin pumps via Target.

On Thursday, I wore another black pencil skirt but this one was from JCPenney and the striped top is from Old Navy.

Basic Black shirt doing double duty

I broke up the classic black and white combination with a pop of red in the Caliente pumps from The Shoe Dept and a red plastic bracelet from Rugged Wearhouse.

Scarf from Avon

The polka dot scarf was a recent purchase from Avon.  By the way, if you are looking to update your fragrances or cosmetics Avon has some great deals going on, some even includes FREE shipping, click here for more information.

Thursday was also my sister’s birthday, had she lived, she would have been 51 – Not A Day Goes By….

I miss my sis Gloria

Although, I am thankful that I had her 29 years, I still feel that she is gone too soon – Rest in Peace Lil Sis!

Your turn, what are you thankful for this week?

  • Hugs to you, dear Antionette!

  • I was at the Monday class and loved it. As for your sister, special occasions are always difficult. She’s beautiful. She lives because you live.

  • All in all it was a good week for you – hugs!

Thank you my dear…reminds me of 1983 when I had my first teaching job straight out of college – seems as though my life is coming full circle! Happy Thankful Thursday.

You are looking stunning. I wrote my first review (will post next Wednesday) for nothing (except blog exposure) but would love to start putting up reviews for compensation/free products. I wish you could come to this area and give a seminar on that. 🙂 I am getting tips from another blogger I follow but anything you have learned to stay clear from would be great. I am sorry the passing of your sister has been rough. I couldn’t imagine 🙁 praying for ya!

That is wonderful can’t wait to read it. So far the most important lesson is to trust your gut, you know what a bogus email reads like and don’t ever ever never ever compromise your ethics for any price, in other words, “don’t sell your soul for profit”. Sign up with http://www.Tomonson.com you can get free products to review and get paid. I am sure you got a lot of leads from others so just sign up for as many of the Sponsored Post sites as you want and while you wait for jobs, do some of your own reviews on products you have at home or ones that you like for the exposure and writing experience. You’ll do fine, just be patient.

Ahhh sweetie you had a beautiful Sis! Sorry she is no longer with you! I too lost my Sister long ago. She died way way too young! Lots of Hugz! You always dress so pretty!! Hugz Lisa and Bear

  • You are an inspiration! Would have loved to attend your class as monetizing my blog is one of my future plans. I haven’t gained traction yet so I can’t see it as something I want to dive into immediately. But it’s great to hear that you teach such classes and wish there’s one here in Sacramento.

I’m sorry about your sister, you both look beautiful and I’m sure she’s amazing like you.

Love both your OOTDs, the one you wore for the presentation was sleek, professional and the red jacket stands out. The stripes with the polka dot are great mixes. You and your sister seem to love stripes with some red 🙂

Thank you, I truly appreciate your kind words, it does my heart good. I am always learning about blogging and ways to make it better and ways to make $, and it’s all trial and error. Let me know if you have any questions, just send me an email and I would be happy to assist.

My sister was an amazing person, so loving and unselfish. The older I get the more I miss her as there are many times that I wish we could sit together and just talk and laugh like we did so many years ago….

I hope you had a Thankful Thursday and Happy Good Friday!

Oh I’m sorry to hear about your sister.
I lost my brother when he was 22, nearly 5 years ago, I think about him often and wonder what he would have been like, and what sort of an uncle he would have been. I am thankful that have happy memories of him, though.

  • Kirsten says:

You look beautiful as usual! I am so sorry for your loss. I hope your weekend is warm and bright and your heart is filled with joy my friend.

P.S. Im loving the polka dots!

Love that you are working your plan for moving to the next phase of your career. I need to step it up in that area. Thinking of you as you remember the loss of your sister this week.
