Celebrating Women’s History Month

March is Women’s History Month

Women's History Month

Women are mothers, daughters, grandmothers, aunties, cousins, friends, nieces, teachers, preachers, sisters, neighbors, educators, caregivers, employees, employers, owners, entrepreneurs, guidance counselors, creators, inventors, investors, investigators, helpers, wives, girlfriends, lovers, singers, divas, dancers, actresses, artists, disciplinarians, mediators, physicians, schedulers, chauffeurs, bankers, buyers, cooks, chefs, cleaners, household managers, coaches, bloggers, shoppers, shapers, innovators, magicians, money managers, doctors, lawyers, judges, jurors, justice seekers, writers, survivors…

We as women wear so many different hats that it would be nearly impossible to list them all here.  You don’t have to be famous or popular to be recognized because we all have made history by touching someone’s life and that’s cause for celebration.

Like you, I am sure there were women in your life that were very special and deserves to be celebrated.  For me it was my grandmother, Nina Margaret Midget – she is the one who made me the celebrated woman that I am today!

  • We are all that and a whole lot more! 🙂

  • I am woman, hear me roar! We keep this world going around. The woman I looked up to was my grandma (who I’m named after). For her to have raised 9 children and still be able to run a household takes a lot of strength!

  • I am absolutely loving this post and what we are celebrating this month. I believe in Empowering women and this is a month to celebrate just that. Most people don’t realize the power of a women, she can be your best friend or your worst enemy but women are more important than most realize. Anyways the women who’ve inspired me the most and who I choose to celebrate are My mother, she’s taught me how to be an strong and proud independent woman by example and has also taught me to be a great single mommy. My grandmother for being the strongest woman I have ever met. She’s battling Lupus and she still manages to be the rock of our family. And my baby girl who teaches me the meaning of love and happiness with each passing day.

I hope you have an amazing week doll.

Thank you my dear, I didn’t think about writing this post until two days ago when I read we were celebrating Women’s History Month but choosing women who may or may not have affected any of us personally. It was my grandmother who was my mother, father, teacher all in one and without her, I wouldn’t be who I am today. Your mother and grandmother truly loved and raised you right because I can see how you are passing it along to your own lil mini me! Have a wonderful week!

  • Love this post! My mom is the one I am celebrating! I look up to her so much and I hope I can be as good of a mom as she was to me! She is also an amazing teacher and educator and she works really hard at her job. 🙂 Thanks for a great post!

I love reading your comments!
