It seems like nail art is once again very popular – as the saying goes, “Everything Old Is New Again”.
This is a picture of my nail art from my wedding day 22 years ago! I requested my manicurist to add the pearls which he did by gluing and placing each one individually. It was done a few days before the wedding and lasted well past our week long honeymoon in Cancun.
You’ll notice that hubby also had a manicure (pedicure and facial) which was my gift to him and his groomsmen.

I simply adore this green rhinestone turtle ring, his head and legs move and just looking at it makes me smile. It had a clearance sticker on it for $3.00 but I don’t think it was correct, however, they let me purchase it at that price.

No not me…the necklace, even though I do feel chunky after having birthday cake and beer over the weekend. Today I decided to wear this chunky necklace that I purchased from Avon months ago but never wore. To my surprise I think it works well with this plain, white, scooped-neck shirt – what do you think?

I am still trying to come to grips with the fact that my oldest son is now 20 years old. Although he had been diagnosed as being mentally challenged there are so many things that he can do and does well, including driving. His birthday gift was a Tom Tom GPS from Best Buy to give him more comfort when driving to new destinations. Expanding his world giving him more freedom and us a sense of security made it the best gift, although he probably would have preferred a splash party like the ones he had when he was younger!
His choice for dinner was Ruby Tuesdays and I had a $10.00 gift card so of course it was a good choice for me as well!

Walgreens had a great coupon deal this week on eggs and bacon – $.99 each, limit 3. I almost missed it but was able to get there this evening after dinner. All my men are home for the summer and this definitely helped my grocery budget.

I’ve read that adding milk to a foot soak would make your feet softer so tonight I decided to give it a try. While watching my fav show, Common Law and sipping some liquid grapes I put in a half cup of Relief MD Foot Soak purchased from Dollar Tree and a few drops of aromatherapy oil into a foot tub. I filled the tub with warm water and then added a cup of whole milk. The calcium in the milk is supposed to soften the feet and IT WORKS!
My feet feel as soft as a baby’s bottom!
