Good Sunday Morning my Friends – I hope this the first day of the week is going well for you.
Sundays are normally the days that I do my grocery shopping, and I don’t head out without first checking the paper for coupons and sales. I was totally surprised when I saw this newly designed “Dollar Tree” insert, I had to do a double take and then asked hubby to look at it as well.
Is it true…is Dollar Tree no longer the place where “Everything Is A Dollar”? Is this why they started accepting manufacturer’s coupons? Is it in only certain areas? Say it isn’t so…I will definitely be checking it out before I go grocery shopping.

Last week while blog hopping I entered a giveaway contest to win a scarf from The Posh’mina. One of the Rafflecopter’s entry requirements was to leave a comment on the company’s Facebook page. After viewing the online shop I chose the Hi’biscus style and commented that I would love to feature it on my blog. Within a matter of hours I received a reply from them with an offer to send one – wow the power of Facebook. (now I need to find a giveaway that offers to pay my bills-lol)
Anywho, a lovely lady by the name of Debbie, also touted as being “Fashionably Fifty” from The Posh’mina contacted me, stated that she liked my blog and would love to send a scarf for me to post. I agreed and said that I would wear it to church taking pictures from there, however, upon receipt I was like a kid at Christmas and couldn’t wait to wear it!
The company’s promo states that they had evolved big scarves to become more fashionable and versatile than ever. I definitely have to agree because of it’s design; the slotted arm holes is by far the best feature. How many times has your pashmina scarf fallen off your arms and onto a dirty floor in a public place? The innovative design of the slotted arm holes prevents this from occurring as well as the constant adjusting and slip sliding from the shoulders.
As like most scarves The Posh’mina can be worn various ways
I love the print of this scarf, the style is Hi’Biscus and there are currently 15 styles available online. Made in India, designed in the United States and are 100% Viscose. Dry cleaning is recommended but I will hand wash in a tub of cool water and Woolite when it needs to be freshened then lightly steamed pressed with an iron.

Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay Fri-Yay Fri-Yay
After a long restless night due to a toothache I awoke to this gift from God!
This is the calm before the storm as Winter is definitely in full force, with snow scheduled to begin falling around 3 p.m. The roads have been brined to cut down on commuter accidents because the temps are also going to drop even lower into the single digits.
As you can see, I am fully prepared and hopefully will leave early enough to stop and pick up a bottle of wine (for me) and Chinese take-out for my men. My plans are to be indoors snug-as-a-bug-in-the-rug until at least Sunday.
These Paisley Skinny Jeans and Infinity Scarf were both on clearance at Target and men’s sweater was thrifted from GW Boutique (Goodwill). The boots have been in my closet for several years and most likely were purchased from Payless.
Believe it or not, this faux fur vest once was a coat that I DIY’d because it didn’t fit properly. I shorten the length using the excess for a scarf, removed the sleeves and made a pair of leg warmers.
Do you refashion clothing, if so, what have you done and how did it work out?

Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve
How often do you venture into the back of your closet? Are you afraid of going back there…are you afraid of what you might find…or are you just afraid of getting lost never to be seen again? I very rarely look in the back of my closet, not because of it’s size but because that’s where I keep clothes that no longer fit but don’t want to get rid of…as if I’ll ever wear my Wedding Night nightgown again! Unfortunately, included with those items are also others that wish they could see the light of day because they have been forgotten yet still fit.
Thanks to the avalanche in my closet I can now see clear to the back and guess what I saw….pantsuits….lots and lots of pantsuits, which were very popular in the mid-90’s. At one time in Corporate America before there was a “Work From Home” program when you could wear sweats, jeans or pajamas, Casual Friday’s for women meant wearing pantsuits to the office and I had quite a few. The one that I am wearing today was probably kept because of the unique buttons which is it’s best feature otherwise, it’s just a “plain Jane” pantsuit.
I think my son may have been a little upset with me this morning and took it out on my head which in most pics has been chopped.

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday
Being outside this morning was a little more bearable because of the lack of wind however, the temps are forecast to remain in the teens until at least the weekend. To that end, I would like to say to all of my left coast friends …”STOP COMPLAINING BECAUSE IT’S 40 DEGREES!!!“
I truly don’t mind the cold weather because it allows me to dress in layers and then make adjustments as necessary. For example today I am wearing a sleeveless grey dress covered with a blazer so if I have a “personal summer” I can simply remove the blazer until it passes.
This outfit started with shoes but in the sunshine the tights took on a weird greenish tint so I changed to my OTK, black suede boots.
This black faux fur once belonged to my sister so you know it’s been around since the late 80’s – I really don’t like driving in it because of the bulk.
Dress and Boots- Ross // Blazer – Value City // Shoes and Tights – Kmart // Necklace – Traci Lynn // Ring – Flea Market Vendor // Earrings – Icings // Bracelet – jewelry box
Did you notice anything different about my wardrobe descriptions today?

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday
The winter weather has hit the Delaware Valley with a fierceness starting last night with snow, and this morning with high winds but I was ready!
Wrapped up in a Tally Ho Faux Fur purchased from Chadwicks several years ago.
Went to Waterloo Gardens to get a little dose of Spring
