Hello Friends and Happy Thursday
As per yesterday’s post here are a few more pictures from my day trip to Marlton. It’s was so lovely that is made the drive on the Jersey Turnpike bearable. Unfortunately I lost the sense of serenity when a rainstorm hit driving home!
Thankfully, I don’t have allergies
Not sure if these are Black Eye Susans
Inside the Atrium – does anyone know the name of this plant?
South entry
One of several Palm Trees – very tropical
Overlooking Pond
Reminds me of a Vacation Resort
View from the elevator overlooking the North Entrance

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
In my current job I no longer have much of an opportunity to travel and my daily commute from Middletown, DE to West Chester, PA can be quite boring. Yesterday I had the chance to make a site visit to Marlton, NJ, or as I like to call it, “Exit 4 on the Jersey Turnpike”. Not to say that driving straight away on the turnpike wasn’t boring because it was, what made it all worthwhile was the location itself.
The building is surrounded with a man made pond that has ducks, a fountain and beautiful flora. The Atrium is also serene and peaceful with tall palm trees, plants and flowers. I think coming into this building on a daily would put anyone in the right frame of mind no matter what the traffic was like in getting there. Here are just a few pictures of the outside, I will post the interior shots tomorrow.

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!
There definitely should be an extra day between Saturday and Sunday because trying to squeeze in chores and relaxation into two can be exhausting! I trust you all had an enjoyable weekend and hopefully are half way through a stress free Monday.
Today’s outfit is a simple two piece skirt and sleeveless tank that I must have bought about 10 years ago and thanks to the elastic waistband, I will probably have it another 10 years!
Too much of this makes for a very mellow Monday!
How are you feeling today?

Push up through the thorns and ugliness in life…

Hello Friends, I hope you had an enjoyable weekend!
As an Avon Independent Sales Rep I probably have more cosmetics than I need but I like trying new products so that I can spread the word to my customers or answer any questions they may have. I don’t particualarly like to spend a lot of money on makeup and usually stick to an under $5.00 price point but I was curious about the new Mega Effects Mascara.

The $10 cost made me a bit apprehensive as well as the fact that it looked a little more complicated to apply and I don’t have a lot of time in the morning, but I bit the bullet and ordered it. The first morning I tried it I ended up poking myself in the eye and getting smudges on my lower lashes, I was trying to use it like a traditional brush.

The WonderBrush handle is like a mini paint brush that is adjustable, and is shaped to fit the natural curve of your lashes.

I am going to be honest and say that it took two mornings for me to become comfortable in using it but now it’s just as quick to apply as any other mascara. It provides great volume, there’s no clumping, and it’s easy to remove at night.

This was definitely worth the price.

Hello Friends and Happy FRI-YAY!
This week’s Foodie Feature has a few more than 4 ingredients but took less than 40 minutes to prepare. It was an easy breezy mid-week meal that my men really enjoyed and got me out of the kitchen in record time!
Try it and let me know if you added a twist to make it better.
Ingredients
- Ground Turkey
- Ortega Fiesta Flats, Taco Seasoning, Taco Sauce
- 1 cup Water
- Diced Onion
- Diced Tomato
- Shredded Cheese
- Shredded Lettuce
- Sour Cream

Brown ground turkey, drain liquid then and add 1 cup of water and the Ortega Taco Seasoning Mix. Heat until thickened, stirring often.

While ground turkey is cooking, dice tomatoes and onions

Warm Ortega Fiesta Flats in a preheated oven 350~, for 3-4 minutes

Fill Fiesta Flats with ingredients

Enjoy!

Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve!
For me Thursday is the best day of the week, we’ve made it through Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and start to look forward to the weekend. Thursday is a heads-down day at work, tying up loose ends, finishing up the weekly to-do list in anticipation of an easy breezy Friday.
Thursday is also a day of reflection some even define it as Thankful Thursday. As we rush through the week from one event to another, it’s nice to take a few minutes to think about and then speak aloud for which we are grateful. Speaking positivity into the atmosphere is a good way to keep life’s trials and tribulations in check.
“Count your blessing so that you can lose count of your problems”
I am thankful for my health both physical and mental!
I am thankful for my family, friends and faith!
I am thankful I have a job and today is pay day!
I am thankful for this thrifted denim skirt and striped top both from GW Boutique
Your Turn – what are you thankful for?
Have a fantabulous day – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve!

AARP Membership requests began hitting my mailbox way back in my 40’s and now that I am almost 52, I guess the time has come to consider joining. I am reluctantly accepting the fact that I’m approaching the “S E N I O R” category – REALLY??!! Hubby and I have been joking for years and betting on who would join first….I’d push the envelop away and say, “oh no I’m too young”, and he’d look at me side-eyed and smirk.
Offers of a Free Gift to join had oftentimes been tempting and there are definitely some great benefits including discounts at Ross Stores on Tuesdays! Discounts on travel, food, entertainment, health, insurance, shopping, education and training and so much more should have been reason to sign up with a quickness, but I just couldn’t do it. I had also loved the fact that they provide information on Long Term Care options, Employment Postings, even starting a new business, the benefits of being an AARP member far outweigh the small price to join.
I’ve finally made up my mind and submitted an online membership application, and then I entered the AARP Real People Model Search just for the heck of it. I don’t expect to be chosen but it seemed like something fun to do as well as memorable to mark the occasion as I approach the wonderful world of “Senior Citizenship”.
If you would like to vote for me, click here, and look for Antionette B in Delaware.
