Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday
I trust your week is going well and all is good in your neighborhood! When I decided to wear this maxi skirt the first thing I noticed was how beautifully the colors transitioned from Summer to Fall.
Although there is still plenty of snow left on the ground or at least on my back deck, the winds were mild enough so my legs didn’t get too cold. The longer sweater and booties also kept me warm so perhaps this skirt will make another appearance during a winter month (with tights and over-the-knee boots).
This sweater was actually a Christmas gift that my hubby gave to my grandmother over 10 years ago. I’ve always loved the color and the length as well as the crocheted cowl neck collar.
The beige booties were purchased a few seasons ago at Rugged Wearhouse and are quite comfortable, more so than the brown ones that I gave away last week on Instagram. If you don’t follow, you should because I will be giving away more in the near future. #payitforward
Here I tried to re-create the #myessence photo, so what do you think, which season did I wear it better?
I know you are busy but if you get a chance hop over to Alison’s blog and “Get Your Pretty On!” this wonderful Wednesday.
Have a blessed day and don’t forget to share it – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy Monday
After a wonderfully warm weekend the temperatures have reversed course and fallen back into Autumn, dropping down into the 30’s and 40’s! Yesterday I was in shorts preparing for the pool opening and today I am wearing fall clothing – this is crazy. The forecast calls for 80 degrees by Thursday so we will be going from sweaters to sleeveless tanks in less than a week, I don’t remember Spring temps being up and down like this – do you?
Skirt – Boscov’s // Tank – JCPenney // Leopard Print Cardigan – Ross
Leopard Print Pumps – DSW
Belt – Avon (Mark)
I ordered my NutriSystem foods today to get “Summer Time Ready” – wish me luck!
Have a fantabulous afternoon – Smooches!

I had to make a return to Boscov’s yesterday, I told Malik the shoe bag wouldn’t work in his “doorless” closet…but did he listen …no! Anywho, as I was making the return I noticed this display of Wicker Baskets for $1.99 each and of course my mind began thinking of several storage uses: In the bathroom/powder room: hair clips, cotton balls, Q-Tips, makeup, hand towels, makeup, perfume, guest towels, potpourri. In the kitchen: tea bags, napkins, vitamin bottles, seasoning package’s, etc., In the bedroom: bracelets, rings, pins, remote control, potpourri, small toys, etc. In the office: paper clips, pens, post it notes, desk drawer organizers. The baskets can also be spray painted to match the decor of any room.

Today’s “staycation” day was spent shopping with my sons. Our first stop was Burlington Coat Factory, my son found a few vests on sale for $15.99, he is attending a Sweet 16 party tonight. I found yet another pair of black heels for $9.99, two dresses for under $20 and two tops under $10.00.
Our next stop was to DSW, I got a $100. gift card from hubby on Valentine’s Day. I saw a few pair that I really liked but am waiting on the Spring styles, however, I did find these on clearance for $20.00.
Last stop was to Boscov’s where I purchased several “As seen on TV” products including the new Lint Lizard, I have a fear of the dryer catching on fire. I also found nail decals similar to Sally Hansen’s on sale for .99cent, regularly $2.99.
