Winter Wash with Purex #Cartwheel #Coupon
What are some of your New Year’s Eve traditions? Mine include cooking black eye peas, collard greens and frying chicken wings. I also watch the Twilight Zone marathon, trying not to fall asleep during the wee hours because that’s when the best episodes air. Kneeling in prayer with hubby and sons then having one of them enter the front door with money in their pocket is another tradition.
I also make sure that there aren’t any dirty clothes in the house so I have to start washing early in the day. In addition to washing clothes, I also take down curtains and clean the sofa throws. It’s like doing a mini Spring clean so it’s important that I have enough detergent on hand.
Purex is one of my favorite brands of detergents and thanks to Target’s #Cartwheel #coupon, I was able to save 25% and you know I am all about saving! Sharing is caring, so here’s a gift to you; from now through December 27th, you can use this coupon to get the same 25% off any Purex detergent at Target, hurry and download the #coupon today, then share this post with a friend.
MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A CLEAN NEW YEAR!!!
What a way to start the New Year, this post garnered me
“BLOG OF THE WEEK”
Hello Friends and Happy Monday
I am getting so excited in anticipation for the heat of the summer as I’m sure a few of you are as well. Last week it was still a bit cool but the weekend more than made up for it with temps in the 80’s. I can’t wait until it’s officially pool time in just a few short weeks!
Today’s outfit is a combination of JCPenney, Citi Trends, Avon and Target.
The Peplum top is JC Penney, and I was never a big fan of them because I didn’t think they were flattering to my figure – what do you think?
This perfectly color coordinated purse is from Avon (Mark) #loveit Bracelet from Rugged Wearhouse and Necklace and Earring Set from Jewelrymax.net.
I not a big retail shopper and I try to stay away from the malls but I won’t rule out low-end shops like Rainbow, Deb and Citi Trends, which is where I purchased this pencil skirt. #dressforless
The black patent leather Mossimo pumps are from Tar’jay (Target). This is the outfit that I wore to work and later on that evening for teaching a Blogging 101 class at the Bear Library. It was very comfortable all day and worked well for both environments.
I love teaching these Blogging 101 classes because the attendees are awesome!
I’ll be stopping by to see Whitney Nic James for her Personal Style Linkup, come over if you get a chance. I hope you all have a wonderful day and I’ll see ya tomorrow.
Stay Blessed ~ No Stress in 2014!
Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve!
Can you believe that next week it will be Labor Day, the unofficial end of Summer – where did August go? I don’t know about you but I don’t rush to put away my summer clothes and break out the Autumn gear. I like to leisurely linger into Indian Summer by continuing to wear white jeans and sundresses.
Last year I did a few Labor Day DIY’s one of which was upcycling a Sundress into a Maxi Skirt, you can read that post HERE. Today I am wearing that Maxi Skirt with a mustard-color blouse thrifted from GW Boutique (Goodwill) and Wedge Sandals from Target.
When the weather cools, I will wear an oversized sweater with the skirt
Gold tone accessories including watch from Avon and ring from Burlington Coat Factory
Are you ready for the cooler weather of Autumn or are you like me and love the heat of the Summer?
Today I am linking up with Katherines Corner, come on over and congratulate her on reaching 10,000 followers – woohoo!

Have a fantastical day – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
TGIF, this week has been such an emotional roller coaster that I am looking forward to just kicking back, relaxing and reflecting on our many blessings. I am also looking forward to cleaning out the bottom of my closet and under the beds. Spring is officially here so now it’s time to put away the winter shoes and boots and bring out the sandals. I stopped at Target yesterday to pick up a few groceries and of course made a quick detour through the shoe department. No shoe haul this time but my little eyes did spy several pairs of shoes on clearance that are on my wish list. I also checked out the the Kate Young Collection, this celebrity stylist’s glam collection includes jewelry, handbags and shoes ranging in prices from $15.00 to $90.00.
The only pair that I added to wish list were these yellow cork sandals on sale for $24.99
clearance ankle strap sandals and wedges
Mossimo and xhiliration Heels
Mossimo Color Block Sandals – $19.99
Lonely Prabal Gurung dress on the clearance rack
