You Choose The Shoes | Week #8
Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday. We are halfway through another wonderful week and so we have two new shoe contenders, but before we begin, let’s take a look at last week’s You Choose The Shoes winners.
Were they your choice?
Now the shoes that I picked for this week are similar in print but different in style and I wanted them to compete with the pattern in my dress, take a look:
animal print Jessica Simpson’s peep toe pumps from a consignment shop
-vs-
animal print closed toe pump Christian Sirano for Payless
The dress was thrifted from Goodwill and like I said, I didn’t want to go with a solid color pump, so I stepped outside of the box with the animal print. What do you think – good choice or not?
Open toe versus closed toe, and they are both equally comfortable.
The extra long beaded necklace was a purchase from Rugged Wearhouse, which is my favorite store for costume jewelry.
Which Shoes Do You Choose?
Will it be Jessica Simpson
or
Christian Sirano?
What are your thoughts on mixing patterns, especially with animal prints.
Guess what, I was featured by Whitney at her Personal Style Linkup, so when you get a chance come on over and check it out!
Happy Hump Day to you as well 🙂 oh wow! Such lovely choice of shoes I like them both, but think I’m going to go with the Jessica Simpson peep toe. I really like how you made such an out of the box decision to mix animal print with a pattern instead of going with a solid. Although I’ve never tried anything like this I think I may especially after seeing that It ROCKS! So thanks for shaking things up a bit and fashioning outside the box. 😉
Thank you, I really liked how it looked and this was before my first cup of coffee – lol. As previously stated in another comment, I have learned so much from reading fashion blogger’s posts as they provide such inspiration and gives you reason to step outside of the box, no matter the age. I was fortunate to find the Jessica Simpson pumps at a consignment shop because I’ve never seen them anywhere else and believe it or not they were less than $20!
They both look good but I think I like the peep toe a little better, especially because it’s summer. Also I think the smaller print looks good with the contrast of the stripes. Never would of thought to put the two patterns together but it works!
Thank you, neither did I but when I opened my closet and realized the cognac color was similar, I was like, hey, this just might work and presto – it did!!! That is the best thing about reading fashion blogger’s post, they provide such great and inspiring ideas. Hope you are having a wonderful week!
Mama, love the shoe game. I just may make a day trip and raid your closet xoxo lol!!!
That would be mah-va-lous we’d have a ball!
You look very good here my Sista and even though they are similar, I vote for the open toe. You know I like to show skin. . . LOL!
Oh yes I do BlogSistah…gotta love the skin you’re in…one of my next posts….
I’m going for the peep toe JS pair. Both are super cute! I love me some leopard. 🙂

Yes, I love them as well and since they were consigned it makes them even more attractive.
You look so fabulous doll. I don’t know what you’re doing but you’re looking so young and radiant. Love your hair and that dress fits you beautifully. I love the mix between stripes and animal prints. I would say go with the Christian Sirano heels.
Oh thank you so very much – I think it’s hanging out with all you beautiful young ladies that it’s beginning to have an affect on me – lol Have a wonderful Hump Day my dear.
I’m partial to peep toe shoes.
Hey cuz, thanks, I love peep-toes too – “birds of a feather”
Love the peep toe ! Super sexy 😉
Thank you my dear. Hope you had a wonderful weekend.
I like the Jessica Simpson this time!
Great choice, thanks for your vote. Have a wonderful weekend!
I love the peep-toe shoes with your dress and I hope it wins! I think my choice last week has won too woot! The closed shoes are a bit muted for me as compared to the strong animal print of the peep-toes.
You are on a roll! Hope you and the family had a wonderful Father’s Day Weekend!
