Is Orange the New Black | Thankful Thursday
Hello friends,
lately I’ve been hearing a lot about this new cable show ‘Orange is the New Black” but have never watched it, have any of you seen it? I really don’t like shows about criminal activities especially with women in prison, so I doubt if I’ll ever watch it.
Anywho, I only mentioned it because of today’s Thankful Thursday’s OOTD which is orange and black.
Actually, it more peach than orange because when I think of wearing orange and black together it reminds me of Halloween. However, I am flanked by orange flowers and the necklace has orange in it, so it can be considered an orange and black outfit.
Speaking of peach, I believe next weekend is Middletown’s Annual Old Thyme Peach Festival. The festival is something that I look forward to every year, it is one of my favorite summer events. Last year we missed it as we were in New Rochelle, (NY) for a cousin’s wedding ~ Happy Anniversary Kyton and Shivon!
I am hoping and would be extremely thankful if my mini men would hang with me because Malik will be leaving for Bowie on the 27th.

This has truly been a thankful week and I am looking forward to sleeping in on Saturday, doing a little shopping and sunning poolside if the weather cooperates.

I have watched both seasons of OITNB and I found it very interesting. What I liked about it, is that it shows that just about anybody can end up in the wrong place with one poor decision. Not everyone has the support of family and friends and as a result, one can end up finding false support and manipulative people around them instead of those who love them. We, who have families and friends who love us, are fortunate. But there are those who don’t have that and it can result in something like ending up in jail. I know that we all have the capability of making good choices, but I hope that for those that don’t that they can meet someone who would be that support they need to turn their lives around.

I have never actually watched that show, it just doesn’t appeal to me honestly. But one thing I have heard is that orange is becoming really popular, I really hope it never becomes the new black because I honestly can’t pull orange off too well. I am way to fair skinned, so orange is really not my color. I do have to say you look absolutely fab surrounded by orange flowers, with your orange accessories, paired with your lovely peach skirt and black top and shoes. You look fab as always doll.
Thank you, I remember years ago there was a show about a woman’s prison which was also very popular but I never watched it either. I only like orange in the summer after I get a tan, otherwise, I have to agree as it’s not a very flattering color on my complexion. Hope you had a Thankful Thursday.
