God blessed us with another gorgeous summer weekend and today I am plowing through Monday like a turtle on steroids! This morning I had to add extra spinach and kale to my green smoothie because I over did it with the sodium and suds. Yesterday afternoon good friends of ours stopped by the house after leaving Maryland en-route home to New York. Anytime someone visits us from Maryland I always have just one request – BRING SOME CRABS!!!! In our house summer isn’t complete without sitting at the table covered in newspaper with a bowl of melted butter and hot sauce cracking open steamed crabs covered in Old Bay Seasoning. Of course I must wash it down with a cold beer! Add some boiled corn (which I forgot), potato salad and shrimp and everything is right with the world.
This outfit was laid out last week, and it’s perfect for today because it’s covering the results of too much sodium and suds but oh it was so well worth it!

I hope everyone had a fan-tab-u-lous weekend. Ours was uneventful and restful so now I am fully charged to begin a new work week. Last night we finally got some much needed rain and today the Lord has blessed up with a bright and sunny Monday!

FRI-YAY!!!!
I am looking forward to a great weekend, in the morning I plan on going to a new Flea Market in Middletown then hubby and I will be attending an adult birthday party ending with Church on Sunday.
Today the Lord has blessed us with yet another beautiful Spring day but I couldn’t decide on whether to wear flats or heels for casual Friday, I ended up wearing the heels. The orange steilmann jeans are the most comfortable jeans I’ve ever worn, I recently purchased them from Charmingly Linda’s Consignment Shop for $9.00!

This year there wasn’t enough April showers to bring May flowers so all this rain is a welcomed relief to the farmers and lawn and garden enthusiasts.
The birds are happy because the ground is soft making it easier to find a meal, the plants and grass are happy because they weren’t as green due to the drought like conditions but most importantly the allergy sufferers are happy to have the pollen washed away!
I am happy because I get to wear a few more long sleeve shirts before the blast of summer heat comes barreling in and you know it will in full force!

Today’s weather wasn’t as dreary as the previous days, but still cool enough for long sleeves. The denim vest was thrifted from Goodwill but it started out as a dress. I removed the sleeves and sewed an animal print fabric around the arm holes and along the front pockets to make it an original.

Just when we thought Spring had sprung, Winter decided to make a guest appearance.
Fortunately I hadn’t removed my boots from the closet so today I wore a pair with a Spring dress. For the fun of it I also tried on Booties and Red shoes but because of the rain, I stuck with the boots.
Wearing footless tights from Walmart I can say that my tootsies are still out!
