Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday.
Today is Tayair’s first day of work – Yay, Congratulations and welcome to the wonderful world of adulthood! He was hired as a seasonal employee for Amazon.com and will be packing those wonderful holiday gifts being shipped from Delaware.
Today is also “Preppy Day” at Appo High School and here’s Malik’s version of being preppy.
Today was also the first time I used the tripod and timer and I must admit that it’s harder smiling for a camera when there is no one behind it – lol

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday. Today’s outfit is titled “Toeless Tuesday” because socks are covering my tootsies for the first time in a long time. I hadn’t planned on wearing socks this early in the season but a change in weather made a change in my mind. I wore these combat-like boots at the end of September but it was sans socks.
Drizzling rain and colder temps had me putting on a new pair of socks, stripped grey and black purchased from Payless. Earlier in the year they were on sale, 2 pair for $2.00, I love shopping off season for the best prices. The black and white sweater blazer was thrifted last season from Goodwill and it’s covering a sleeveless top from Marshalls. (in case of a flash) . The black pants are a closet staple but must be worn with boots otherwise, it looks like I’m walking in a flash flood!

Put on brown, sleeveless dress thrifted from Goodwill to be worn with pink and brown paisley denim jacket also thrifted from Goodwill…
Flash starts….take off dress… throw into hamper…
Put on grey, flair skirt with black and white polka dot top thrifted from Goodwill, add black belt…
Wipe forehead…
Pull off skirt … throw onto bed…
Put on grey pencil skirt, change belt to orange one thrifted from Goodwill…try on shoes…
Turn on fan…take off shoes….start makeup…stop
Pull off polka dot top and belt…throw onto floor…
Put on cotton, grey, cowl neck purchased from Marshalls…plug in curling wand…
Look into full length mirror and see a stuffed sausage….pull off skirt and cowl neck throw on top of hamper…
Go into closet, look up, look left…pull down black maxi skirt…look right…pull down a different polka dot top thrifted from Goodwill….
Add red skinny belt from Ross…
Curl hair and finish makeup…
Kick Madden Girls shoes from Marshalls under the bed…put on open toe Rocket Dogs from The Shoe Dept and leave bathroom
45 minutes late to work!

Hello friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday.
The day started very hazy and foggy with light sprinkles of rain. There were quite a few accidents and heavy police presence on the roads so please slow down and travel safely.
Today’s outfit contains all closet staples ~ nothing new.

Happy Hump Day Wednesday….let the countdown begin. Why do I wish my life away by rushing the week to get to the weekend? I need to be more conscience of that and simply enjoy each day because they are not promised. Today’s outfit is once again not thrifted even though it didn’t start out that way. The first skirt I put on was from Goodwill but it was a little too tight….gotta watch those carbs!! I love the color burgundy for the fall and have read that it’s the color for the season, that and “oxblood”. Who in the world cut an ox and then decided to use the color of the blood to describe clothing – where in the world do you find an ox anyway?
The multi-color skirt was purchased last month from Boscov’s (remember this sale) and I paired it with the burgundy top from Ross or Marshalls. Picking up the mustard color in the skirt with the xhilaration sandals via Target. Necklace and earring set from Jewelrymax.net as well as rhinstone, butterfly ring. The tri-color metal bracelet is from my jewelry box (which means I can’t remember where it was purchased).

Day 2 of skirt week is completely thrift-free which for me is a feat! In June, I purchased this Valerie Bertinelli skirt (worn here) at Marshalls, I didn’t want to pay full price but I also didn’t want to wait for it to be marked down. The top was either purchased at Marshalls, TJ Maxx or Ross, as they all have similar clothing items.

Yesterday’s staycation day was planned for dental, orthodontic and doctor appointments but I did manage to get in a little thrifting. I had wanted to go to the Christiana Mall for the Fashion Night Out (FNO) events but it didn’t start until 6:00. Wanting to be home before six I instead stopped at the Salvation Army. Not having been to the Salvation Army since 1996, I noticed a drastic change for the better and will post pics, my thoughts and of course my finds this weekend.

Hello friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday! You know the days when you put on your clothes and something just doesn’t fit right, or in my case fits too tightly, well that was how my morning started. As you know on Sunday nights I prepare my outfits for the week but today it was a “pull from the closet” morning. I put on and then changed 3 skirts, 1 pair of pants, 1 pair of capris and 2 tops because none of them fit right…all too tight!! Not enough “labor” over the holiday, too many Michelobs and Seagrams so now it’s back to the elliptical with a vengeance and summer indulgences are a distant memory!!
After all those changes this is what I ended up wearing, an outfit that is color blocked with my Sorority colors Royal Blue and Gold, (ΣΓΡ ~ Sigma Gamma Rho), and hubby’s Fraternity colors Purple and Gold, (ΩΨΦ ~ Omega Psi Phi).

Hello friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday! You know the days when you put on your clothes and something just doesn’t fit right, or in my case fits too tightly, well that was how my morning started. As you know on Sunday nights I prepare my outfits for the week but today it was a “pull from the closet” morning. Today is my “YAY-DAY” because tomorrow I’m off for a stay-ca-day to start the long Labor Day holiday weekend. Today’s outfit is layered like the leaves on the lawn …. don’t go summer…please stay a wee bit longer (wiping away tears). Not ready to put away the summer wear so I covered this spaghetti strap maxi with a front zip vest thrifted from Goodwill, accented with a red belt from Ross. Popping more of the red with earrings inherited from my lil sis who passed away in 1992, a bracelet from MizOutlet.com and covered one stone in my ring with red nail polish. The polish is easily removed for a change of color to accent another outfit. I thought about wearing red shoes but decided on these black and white stripped wedges from Marshalls.
