Hello friends, I hope you had a wonderful Saturday, it was a beautiful day here in Delaware.
Once again, prayers going out to those affected by the tornado in Oklahoma City.
Today was the first Saturday of the month which meant only one thing, selling at the Dutch Country Farmers Flea Market. It was a good day despite the intense sun rays that gave me a severe sunburn on my chest and back. I sat under an umbrella most of the day but assisting and talking to customers was more than enough for those ultraviolet rays to do their damage!

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday!
A few weeks ago at The Java House Cafe I had the pleasure of meeting Marissa G., owner/baker of Eden’s Touch Bread Company. She was there to feature her Specialty Loaves of Homemade Breads, “made with love, no chemicals or preservatives”. Eden’s Touch Bread Company delivers fresh baked products at affordable prices and delivers exceptional customer satisfaction. The bakery is located in Collingdale, PA, however, they ship nationwide as well as make local deliveries to the Philadelphia tri-state area. Eden’s Touch Bread Company also features other items including Gluten Free Gourmet Butter, Croutons and Bread Mixes (menu).
I purchased two of the mini Banana Walnut loaves and couldn’t wait to get them home to try. I had one warm slice with my afternoon tea and then my men ate the rest! I wished I had purchased others to hide store in the freezer, I’ll place an online order.
Eden’s Touch Bread Company is a new business, only a year old and they recently launched a go fund me campaign to raise money for a larger oven. The goal is to raise $500, and if you would like to donate and receive a gift certificate please click the bread pic below.

Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve!
The weather is warming up nicely despite yesterday’s hail storm, yes, it hailed in Middletown, Delaware. I hadn’t reached town yet therefore, I missed it but my girlfriend posted a pic on Facebook (LIKE me) and it was awesome, actual golf ball size hail in May – this global warming ain’t no joke!
I am getting a little impatient with the weather and am no longer waiting to go sleeveless or wear sandals as evidenced by today’s outfit. I added a little pop of color to the black and white with a coral watch and ring. The brass statement necklace with matching earrings I’ve had for over 25 years and paired them with a hammered brass bangle bracelet.
Striped Skirt (old) – Marshalls // Top – GW Boutique // FUBU purse – Burlington Coat Factory
Pesaro’ Sandals (old)
Brass Necklace & Earring Set and Bracelet – jewelry box // watch – Avon // Ring – DIY Ombre with nail polish
Sunnies – Rugged Wearhouse
I am so ready to wear white jeans.
What are you most looking forward to wearing this summer?
Have a fantabulous afternoon – Smooches!

Saturday my oldest son had an appointment at Simon Eye Associates in Middletown. We are a family of four with three of us wearing prescription glasses, so the out-of-pocket cost can easily exceed $100 even with insurance co-pays. I personally prefer stylish eye wear because wearing glasses is more than a necessity, it’s an accessory and “I go big or I go home”.
In the ’80’s, my sister started wearing glasses and she too preferred large frames which was also the style during that time -aka- Sally Jesse Raphael, which may be why I like them as well.
Unfortunately, my first prescription pair were the narrow, rectangular style and they gave me a headache, I could never place my eyes in the correct area of the frame and it was annoying. They cost me $300 out of pocket and I swore never to spend that much money again! In my family the only one who doesn’t wear glasses is Tayair which is strange because he was a 3 month preemie weighing only 2.5 lbs. Most preemies have a need for corrective eye wear especially during their early years, but this hasn’t been the case for him.
I was recently contacted by GlassesUSA to do a sponsored post and I didn’t hesitate because I am always looking for ways to save money. GlassesUSA is the premier place to buy discount prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses. The request coincided with Tayair’s appointment so it was a perfect time to check them out. I looked through the large selection of eyeglasses at Simon Eye Associates so I could chose the same style from GlassesUSA.
Or maybe I’ll order a pair of prescription sunglasses for the summer.
GlassesUSA provides the highest quality optical products at the most affordable prices and delivery is fast. The lenses not only exceed FDA requirements but they pass a “5-Stripe” process prior to shipping. The goal of GlassesUSA is to provide the best eyewear in the quickest time frame possible. Glasses USA guarantees the highest quality, affordable prescription glasses because they partner with the best laboratories in the industry saving customers on every order. They pass these savings onto you making it a win-win situation! Getting the prescription from your optometrist is quick and easy and allows you the opportunity to order your next pair from GlassesUSA saving hundreds of dollars.
GlassesUSA is the premier place to buy discount prescription eyeglasses online!
Tayair didn’t need prescription glasses but checked out the latest sunglasses.

The Java House Café in Middletown recently hosted two books signings for local authors. The first one was on Saturday with Richelle N. Rodgers, author of Forever Growing A Journey of Trust. This autobiography gives you insight into her life which is filled with joy and sadness as well as near death experiences by both she and her husband, but her strong faith and trust in God has given her more than the world has taken.
Richelle is Philadelphia native presently residing in Elkton, Maryland with her husband of 38 years and is a grandmother of triplets. Her passion for empowering others to be the best they can be in their relationship with God is prevalent throughout the book. As a Franchise Consultant in both the Museum and Insurance industries as well as an Independent Contractor for CCI, she has had the opportunity to travel outside of the United States including trips to Bosnia and Italy. Richelle is currently a Lay Prayer Associate and an Eucharistic Minister and Lector at her church.
Richelle has dedicated her life in helping others and as a Vietnam Vet is currently working on a Women Veteran Leadership Awards Symposium to be held in DC this fall.
It took 3 years of prayer and the encouragement from family and friends for this book to become the first in what I believe will be a successful career of an Inspirational author.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” – Proverbs 3:5

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday
Do you remember Bill Withers’ 1977, hit song, Lovely Day? Not all of the words in this song exactly describes my day but it definitely was a LOVELY DAY! I took a day off from work so that my son could drop off his car and have it checked and then get to the orthodontist and dentist for treatments. It was such a lovely day, not only because of the weather but because I got a chance to spend it with my oldest son. Mothers with teenage and young adult sons know how difficult it can be to get them to spend time with you without complaint, so I took full advantage of it!
We started the day at Delaware Orthodontics in Middletown, this NASCAR-themed office is such a great place for kids of all ages, with video games and a flat screen TV to keep you occupied while in the waiting room.
After leaving the dentist office we stopped at Rugged Wearhouse where I found these pink, Gingham pumps on clearance for $5.00!
For lunch we went to Mickey D’s so I could try the new McWrap that I’ve heard so much about, it wasn’t bad for a fast food sandwich. I had coupons so it was only $1.00, and Tayair was able to get a Buy 1 Get 1 FREE BigMac sandwich.
It definitely was a lovely day!

Hello Friends and Happy Sunday
I trust you all had a nice weekend and were able to relax or do something fun and exciting or both! I wasn’t able to clean out my closets but I did have a busy fun filled weekend which started with the honor of being chosen, “Top Blogger of the Week” by Sverve. I was in a fantastic mood as I headed out leaving my men doing yard work which wasn’t what my sons had planned for their weekend. While in town I stopped at my favorite lunch spot, The Java House Cafe where they were hosting a book signing by Christian author Richelle Rodgers. Her book, Forever Growing A Journey of Trust is a motivational book on empowerment and growing your relationship with God. Richelle is a retired Army Vet who remains very active in supporting other female vets and is currently working on a Women Veterans Leadership Awards Symposium to be held in DC this fall.
Today, The Java House Cafe hosted another book signing by author, Jacqueline Charmane, her 5th book, They Raped Me Once Over and Over Again, is a true story based on her life. She spoke briefly about some of the heart breaking events in her life including the emotional and physical abuse by both her rapist and husband as well as the the kidnapping of her son. I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to speak with each author after the events, purchased an autographed copy of the books, and took pictures which I will post later this week.
Today, was a bright and sunny day, a little cool but I had just purchased this Printed Cold Shoulder Dress from Avon and wanted to wear it to church.
It reminds me of a 70’s retro dress with the slit sleeves, do you remember Julie from The Mod Squad?
This vibrant floral print dress is only $24.99 for all sizes – S-3X
I wore navy blue heels – thrifted from GW Boutique (Goodwill)
Embellished Cross Collection Rings and Bangles – Avon
Earrings are silver hoops from jewelry box
Have a fantastical week – Smooches!
