Hello my friends, I hope you are enjoying the first week of Autumn 2016. Today’s outfit is actually one that I wore before the end of the summer and I think it will also be a good transition into winter if worn with a pair of boots or tights – what do you think?
As you know, black and white is one of my favorite classic color combinations and this was one of my favorite looks. I think hubby liked it as well which is always a good thing especially since he’s on the other side of the lens.
The red leather tote was thrifted a few years ago from Goodwill which I carried to California when I flew to Hollywood to shoot the Depend advertisement. Do you remember all the excitement and fun of that trip, if not, click here to read the post.
These peep toe booties were purchased from Payless and trust me, not only are they super cute, but they are also very comfortable.
The pencil skirt was purchased from Ross Dress for Less and the tank is a closet staple that is too old to even remember where I got it.
The necklace was also thrifted new from Goodwill and the bracelet was on clearance at Old Navy. I can’t remember where I purchased the large faux diamond ring, but it’s a fun costume piece.
Have you started transitioning your wardrobe from summer to fall yet? I did get rid of a lot of summer items that I didn’t wear this year and probably won’t next so now I have a lot more room in my closet!

Hello friends and welcome to this week’s Sunday Stylin Roundup! Last week was fun because I experimented with mixing patterns and I am anxious to know what you think.
The first outfit is entitled Blue Monday.
This of course is one of my favorite pencil skirts from JCPenney. With it I wore a light blue cardigan, black t-shirt and my Cushion Soft shoes from Avon.
The “Bedrock’ necklace is also one of my favorites because it picks up the colors in the skirt nicely.
The next outfit is entitled Dots and Dashes
This is truly a mix of patterns, Polka Dots and Houndstooth but I read if you keep it in the same color family, it won’t appear too drastic.
What do you think – yay or nay?
These are a pair of my favorite black suede Unlisted Booties and the DKNY tote was purchased about 10 years ago from “Saks Off 5th” in Orlando.
Third outfit is entitled “Lions Tigers and Stripes Oh My!”
I really did a pattern mix with the leopard and stripes and I liked it! Because the black pants were the anchor the leopard and stripes didn’t clash, I will definitely be repeating this outfit again.
The shoes are Christian Sirano for Payless and the purse is Avon. I believe the cardigan was either Ross or Marshall’s and the necklace is from Jewelrymax.net.
Last outfit for the week was Stripes and Studs
Now this definitely was a mix match but it seems to go together – right? Believe it or not, this is a thrifted Lord & Taylor blouse that once belonged to my sister and it has been in my closet since 1992!
With it I am wearing the striped skirt from Burlington, studded shoes and tote as well as ring and bracelet set from Avon.
I liked this outfit the best, what say you?
Last Monday I had to take my car to the dealer for service and ended up with two different loaners, a Chevy Silverado which is a huge pickup truck and then a Chevy Cruze…I’ll tell you all about them next week.
I hope your Sunday is a good day and that you enjoyed the extra hour of sleep!

Hello friends and welcome to Sunday Stylin Roundup. I trust you all had a wonderful weekend. We are now into full Autumn attire and I finally got all my closets cleaned – yay me! I didn’t get an opportunity to wear all of my summer dresses but next week I am going to repost a DIY in which I cut the bodice off a dress to make it a maxi skirt. I’ll be doing a few more of them as some of the dresses are cut too low to wear without a cover-up.
Here are last week’s outfits.
These two outfits one I wore at the end of September and the other was early October which is still warm enough to wear peep toes and pencil skirts.
Pencil skirts are by far my favorite types of skirts and the color grey with the classic black and white works equally well with green and beige. The red necklace is from Rainbow Shops and the beige beads are from Walmart, they have a really nice $5 and $10 Statement necklace assortment #stockingstuffer.
I call this outfit “Back to Basics“, because the white cotton shirt and tie are reminiscent of my early corporate days at IBM. Believe it or not, I still have several of the clip on ties that I wore back in the early 80’s! The skirt is from Walmart and the purse is from Avon as is the bracelets and watch. I participated in iamfabellis #fabwerkwear Instagram roundup, so if you get a minute go check out the other lovely ladies in classic white work shirts.
Breaking out the infinity scarves which I have draped around a body-form in the guest bedroom, most of which were on clearance from Burlington Coat Factory, but Walmart also has a large selection as well, starting at $4.97.
Two of my favorite consigned pieces, the Jessica Simpson leopard print peep-toes shoes and this leopard print vintage purse. A simple top from Boscov’s and brown thrifted skirt made this outfit a mid-week special.
Another infinity scarf breaks of the basic blue skirt from JCPenney and green scoop top thrifted from Goodwill. I had forgotten about these Unlisted shoes from the Shoe Dept, but seemed to work well with the tote from Target as well as the thrifted pink clutch.
I ended the work week in a “Poncho and Pencil” skirt and pointy toe shoes from DSW. The pencil skirt and thrifted sleeveless tank were covered in a printed poncho from Boscov’s. I didn’t need to change up my purse as the tote from Target worked well. The accessories I chose were a wooden beaded necklace, a Flea Market find, and wood earrings from Claire’s.
So which outfit did you like the best?

Hello friends and welcome to the weekend!
Today is my 53rd Birthday and later on I will be celebrating it with my hubby and son with a dinner down at the Christiana Riverfront.
In the meantime, I thought I would post a few summer outfits that didn’t quite make it to the blog. However, if you follow me on Instagram you might remember seeing some of them in a “Fashion after Fifty” post.
You know how much I love black and white polka dots, so with this outfit I accented it with gold accessories. Both the top and pants are thrifted, the purse is quite old as are the sandals. The bracelet was purchased at the QVC Outlet in Frazer, PA, Avon watch and the ring is from Old Navy.
This was another Casual Friday with white jeans and sequins top which I had never worn during the day, but hey, YOLO and I’m over 50! The purse was found at Charmingly Linda’s Consignment Shop in West Chester, PA and the studded sandals are staples in my closet.
This was another fun outfit, with the pink lace top, pink gingham shoes from Rugged Wearhouse and multi-color purse from Ross. I chose to anchor the outfit with a black pencil skirt.
And finally my all time favorite outfit of the season, mixing brown and blue with a studded top thrifted from Goodwill, faux Jimmy Choo purse and multiple bangles from Old Navy. The faux Snakeskin pumps from Target are a pair of my favorite pumps so they will be worn a lot this fall.
So what do you think, not bad for an old lady huh…?
Which outfit do you like best?

Hello friends,
welcome back from the weekend, I hope it was enjoyable and you were able to do something fun. Malik and I went shopping for his dormitory needs…I am not even going to tell you how much money we spent. It should be a Blue Monday but instead it’s a Steel Grey Day.
This top was thrifted from Goodwill and the skirt is a JCPenney clearance find. Thankfully, I know how to save when it comes to shopping for myself, my checkbook really took a hit this weekend!
The l.e.i. sandals are several years old and were purchased from either Walmart or Kmart, can’t remember which, but I do know that I love the cork and stud details.
I used to shop online at Jewelrymax.net which is where I purchased the necklace, and the bracelet was a Flea Market find. Believe it or not, I haven’t set up a table nor even visited the Middletown flea market this entire summer!
I hope your Monday remains stress free and if you get a chance, stop by at Whitney’s blog to check out her Personal Style Linkups.

*This post was written by me on behalf of the Ultimate Outlet. I did not receive compensation nor a product to review. All opinions are 100% mine.
Have you seen that television commercial that shows several office workers “oohing” and “aahing” while looking at shoes on their computer screen? Well my co-worker and I had a similar reaction while checking out clothing at the online store Ultimate Outlet.
Ultimate Outlet is Spiegel’s online website that features clothing and accessories from Newport News and ShapeFX, a brand often worn by talk show hostess Wendy Williams. The Ultimate Outlethas clothing, swimwear, lingerie, and accessories some priced as low as $5.00!
Many of the items are limited in their availability of sizes but I was able to find two Pencil Skirts for $8.00 each and after receiving a ‘first time shopper’ discount of $10.40, my total was only $5.60! #winning
The shipping of $6.94, was more than the total purchase price but I still got a bargain at $12.54. I can’t wait to receive the skirts and then do an OOTD review post. If you get a chance check them out and let me know what you think.
Have a fantastical day – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday!
Today is going to be another hot and steamy day, and this is actually Heatwave #4. If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen the 5-day forecast for the Delaware Valley – HOT HOT and HOTTER. The Meteorologist stated he preferred the cold and snow of winter but I love the heat of the summer. Deciding what to wear isn’t a challenge since I’m in an air conditioned car or office most of the day and I was going to wear all black but decided to throw in a little pink.
7:00 am and the sun is shining brightly
Which do you prefer, the cold of Winter or the heat of Summer?
Love my Pink & White pumps from Rugged Wearhouse
Tank – GW Boutique // Pencil Skirt – Walmart

Hello Friends, I hope you had a great weekend and an enjoyable tax-free Monday!
I woke up this morning thinking it was Sunday. The weekend came and went with such quickness that I though we should have had one more day free from work, but no such luck! We did manage to get some yard work done before the heat returns because it is not fun pulling weeds and trimming trees in intense heat. I love this time of year with all the flora blooming but it reeks havoc on my son and his seasonal allergies. This was my grandmother’s favorite tree and every Spring she’d look outside and say, “Toni, did you take a picture of that tree” – I do miss her so!
Mama, here’s a picture of that tree.
These trees are on the side of the house, they bloom then change green in about 2 weeks.
Pencil Skirt and Top – Target // Fioni Peep Toe Pumps – Payless
I didn’t wear them to work because my knee is still swollen, but thought they would work with this outfit – what do you think?
Engjoy the rest of your day – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy DST Monday!
Woke up thinking it would be a bright and sunny Pre-Spring day, instead it was a dark and damp foggy morning, oh well at least I woke up a lot of people didn’t! (Blessed). The day started out much like most people’s heads…a little foggy, why don’t we abolish Daylight Savings Time, it’s original purpose is no longer valid, what do you think?
Driving in fog is dangerous yet some people feel the need to speed which makes it even worse, unfortunately 6 teenagers lost their lives in Ohio due excessive speeding – God rest their souls! (News Report)
Which brings me to another reason why I don’t like car shopping for my son’s, too many young people die in car crashes. As most of you know my lil sis, Gloria was killed in a car crash in 1992, she was only 29, and not a day goes by that I don’t think of her!
Shake it off … shake it off… sorry, didn’t mean to bring you down!
Let’s clear the way for the outfit of the day.
Black Pencil Skirt – Boscov’s // Colorful Top – GW Boutique (Goodwill) // Animal Print Pumps – DSW // Dooney & Burke Purse – closet staple // Ring and Bracelet – Mizoutlet.com
What do you think about these pumps with this outfit – should I have worn the green cap-toe pumps from Target?
One good thing about Daylight Savings Time it will be a sunshine filled commute home!

Have a fantabulous evening – Smooches!
