Hello Friends and Happy President’s Day 2013
Lucky lucky you if you are home today on holiday because “it’s as cold as a witches’ tit”! I remember that as being one of my mother’s favorite sayings during those cold New York winters. Do you remember any crude statements that your parents or grandparents liked to say way before it would be considered politically incorrect? (careful)
In honor of President’s Day I was going to wear Red with Blue and White Polka Dots but it’s just too cold. Instead I chose the warm and cozy flannel shirt that my son put in the “to be donated” box but never made it, a thrifted khaki skirt and knee high boots – it’s all about keeping warm! I like these boots because they can be worn full length showing the brass studs or folded over to reveal the leopard print – two styles in one for less than $20!
Flannel Shirt – son’s giveaway // Skirt – GW Boutique (Goodwill) // Boots – Rugged Wearhouse // Watch – Avon // Rings, Earrings and Bracely – Jewelry Box // Belt –
I’ve added more pictures to my “As Seen Through My Car Window” page – check them out when you get a chance.
Have a fantabulous afternoon – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve!
In less than 1 year I have written 500 blog posts. In all honesty when I first started DeDivahDeals I didn’t write much, I still don’t, but according to my WordPress stats this is my 500th post!
cue the fireworks and confetti drop
500 posts is not a cause for a big celebration but next month on my 1st year Blogiversary it will be so get your party clothes ready!
Woot Woot!!
These Madden Girl pumps are my favorite shoes, not only are they comfortable but the Polka Dot bows remind me of Betty Boop and who doesn’t love that 1930’s PinUp Girl?

Thursday is the horizon to the weekend…it’s all downhill from here. Today is gloomy and overcast after last evening’s showers and thunderstorms that broke the heatwave. My goal this week was to wear a dress a day and barring any major downpours tomorrow I will have succeeded. I remember when girls/women only wore dresses and in Junior High I would hide pants under my skirts because my grandmother didn’t allow us to wear them. My sister and I had a job at Arthur Treachers Fish & Chips and we had to ask permission from our Pastor to wear the uniform because it had pants. Now here it is 37 years later and I prefer to wear dresses on the daily and hubby seems to enjoy it as well (side eye wink wink).
This Polka Dot dress was featured in my June post, here, but I decided to mix the polka dots with my green, patterned wedges from Ross.
WEEKEND IS COMING!

I stopped at Marshalls to once again return a pair of shoes that I had purchased in March but never wore, thank goodness I always keep my receipt. I checked out the latest styles of Steve Madden/Madden Girl shoes which are my #1 favorite.
My 2nd favorite styles – Jessica Simpson
never heard of the brand but they were too cute not to take a pic

Love the colors of these Kate Spades
You know how I love Polka Dots!

Today started out a bit rainy and overcast but temps are supposed to rise with bright sunshine heading into the evening commute.
The polka dot shirt was thrifted from Goodwill and started out as a size 2x. I sew so I never let sizes deter me from making a purchase and I had been searching for a black and white polka dot top. With help from hubby who pinned the sides so that I could cut and sew it, it’s now a better fitting size large. I wore a Fedora instead of carrying an umbrella which is such a pain when walking only a few feet into the office from the parking lot.
Polka Dot Top – Goodwill// Black Pencil Skirt – Goodwill// Madden Girl Pumps w/ Polka Dot Bows – Ross// Belt – Ross
Fedora- Burlington Coat Factory// Red Bracelet – Mizoutlet.com// Ring and Earrings- Payless
My tribute to MJ
