It’s a Wonderful Life

The story of George Bailey played by Jimmy Stewart wishing he had never been born is truly a timeless classic. However, when George meets Clarence the bumbling Angel trying to win his wings shows him what life would be like without him, there are some truly eye opening scenes.

And who can’t help but recite

A Christmas Carol – the 1951 version

This version of the Charles Dickens’ timeless classic is my all time favorite one. Alastair Sim’s performance and his facial expressions as Scrooge are the best.

Christmas Story

This is definitely a “will not miss” movie classic especially since it’s on for 24 hours on TBS! I love Ralphie sexist attraction to that leg lamp which is now being sold at most major stores!

FRA’GILE

BTW – How many kids do you think put their tongue on a frozen pole to see if it actually stuck?

Miracle on 34th Street – 1947

Christmas and of course Santa is on trial but the holiday spirit wins everyone over. I love when the mail is delivered to the courthouse addressed to Santa.  However, my favorite scene is the cane that sits in the middle of the empty room of Suzie’s new home

The Perfect Holiday

Morris Chestnut (need I say more) plays an aspiring musician working as a mall Santa.  A young girl turns to this department store Santa in the hopes that he will help find a new husband for her divorced mother played by Gabrielle Union.

Honorable mention:

Charlie Brown Christmas

It wouldn’t be Christmas without this timeless classic and the song around the tree gets me every time!
