Hello Friends and Happy Saturday!
Here we are again, the 1st Saturday of the month so you know where to find me – set up at Dutch Country Farmers Market in Middletown. I am still trying to purge household items, clothing, books, shoes anything I don’t need in order to make a few extra dollars and leave less to pack or donate when we decide to downsize.
As in most states you’ll find community yard sales, but did you know that the longest yard sale starts in North Addison, Michigan and goes through to Gadsen, Alabama? It is 690 miles long and people stake out their front yards along Hwy 127 for 4 days to sell new and used items!
According to the 127sale.com website, the yard sale officially starts the first Thursday in August and runs through to the following Sunday but this year it started on the 1st. People travel from the North, South, East and West some make it an annual event renting RV’s and camping out year after year. “An exchange of cultures with a common goal; to look, buy and sale!”
Can you imagine taking a week’s vacation to go to a Yard Sale? Oh well, I’ll just stick with my little space in the parking lot on the first Saturday of the month from April to November!
Flea Markets are fun because you never know what you’ll find!

Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve!
AARP Membership requests began hitting my mailbox way back in my 40’s and now that I am almost 52, I guess the time has come to consider joining. I am reluctantly accepting the fact that I’m approaching the “S E N I O R” category – REALLY??!! Hubby and I have been joking for years and betting on who would join first….I’d push the envelop away and say, “oh no I’m too young”, and he’d look at me side-eyed and smirk.
Offers of a Free Gift to join had oftentimes been tempting and there are definitely some great benefits including discounts at Ross Stores on Tuesdays! Discounts on travel, food, entertainment, health, insurance, shopping, education and training and so much more should have been reason to sign up with a quickness, but I just couldn’t do it. I had also loved the fact that they provide information on Long Term Care options, Employment Postings, even starting a new business, the benefits of being an AARP member far outweigh the small price to join.
I’ve finally made up my mind and submitted an online membership application, and then I entered the AARP Real People Model Search just for the heck of it. I don’t expect to be chosen but it seemed like something fun to do as well as memorable to mark the occasion as I approach the wonderful world of “Senior Citizenship”.

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
I’ve been MIA due to a snafu with GoDaddy for Web Hosting and the transferring of my domain – things just didn’t go well so I’m back! Today is the end of the work week for me because tomorrow is the HOLIDAY – YAY and we are closed on Friday.
What are your plans for Independence Day? I haven’t made any yet because of the weather, it has been raining since Sunday. I hope the sun will make an appearance at least one day this weekend so I can fire up the grill and lounge poolside.
Tuesday’s outfit was totally thrifted from GW Boutique.

Frontier Airlines is bringing it’s commercial airline service back to Delaware. Frontier plan to begin Airbus 320 service from the New Castle County Airport beginning July 1, offering three flights a week to Chicago-Midway and Houston. Airline service to Orlando and Denver will begin the following day with two weekly flights to Orlando and four flights a week to Denver. Frontier’s main hub service to Tampa, with two flights a week, will start July 4.
This is definitely fantastic news for me and my family as we haven’t taken a vacation since 2009, and this may be just the incentive to get out of dodge and pay a visit to Mickey Mouse in Orlando this summer!

Happy Birthday
“He made his reggae music to uplift us, inform, entertain, inspire, and make change in the world. He’s a musician, a poet and songwriter, a philosopher, a soldier, an activist and a leader.” – Cedella Marley
Delaware Roots
His mother, Cedella Booker, relocated from Jamaica to his first American home in Wilmington, Delaware in 1966. That same year Bob Marley married Rita Anderson and joined his mother in Delaware for a few months, where he worked as a DuPont lab assistant and on an assembly line at a Chrysler plant under the alias Donald Marley. Every summer we have a PeoplesFestival at the Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park in Wilmington celebrating his life with live music, food, vendors and fun.
One of my favorite Bob Marley hits was “one love” which is now a theme song for vacation travel to Jamaica.

Hello friends and Happy Fri-Yay!! Today it’s casual and comfortable to work wearing jeans and loafers. Saturday I will start my day at the Farmers Market hawking my wears trying to make a little extra cash. Later in the afternoon I will be heading to Dover to meet my cousin at Dover Downs. She is taking a bus trip down from New Rochelle, NY and I hope to turn the little cash into something larger – wish me luck and good fortune!!

Resort Details -click on the picture
Hubby and I have owned a 2-bedroom villa timeshare at Marriott’s Cypress Harbor in Orlando, since 2000. Unfortunately due to numerous circumstances we haven’t been able to take a vacation since 2009. We now have 4 weeks banked which I keep extending in hopes of having the time and finances for a trip to Belize!
If you or someone you know (responsible adult) would be interested in renting a 7 day/6 night villa @ $700 per week, please contact me. This would be a great gift for an Anniversary, Birthday, Graduation or Wedding. The weeks are currently deposited with Interval World and can be used for stays at their resorts as well.
This is an honest listing, you must be of legal age and flexible with your dates. The Guest Certificate would be purchased and sent to you upon receipt of payment into my Paypal account. We will connect via telephone and email when making and confirming arrangements.
Have a fantabulous day – Smooches!
