Wearing White After Labor Day
Are you a WALDO?
Do you have a White After Labor Day Outfit?
*
Growing up I used to hear people say that you should never ever wear white after Labor Day. Growing up we didn’t have many clothes so I probably didn’t have enough white outfits to wear the entire summer let alone carry over past Labor Day.
*
Now the older I get the quicker the seasons seem to change and the larger my wardrobe grows. I don’t know about you, but I never get a chance to wear all of my summer outfits in the summer months. Labor Day is the unofficial end of summer, but September 21st is the actual date so I will continue to wear white until then and maybe perhaps even into Fall.
Remember when I got these jeans for $1.00 at JCPenney
Hubby took my pics this morning – he makes me smile – I love him so!
This top has been hanging in my closet for as long as I can remember
Oh and you know my toes stay open until it snows!

How about you, do you wear white after Labor Day?
Linking up the entire month of September with Bloggy Moms – hop on over and join in on the fun
Yes, you can absolutely wear white after Labour Day! I wear open-toed shoes as long as possible, then I switch to boots because I hate wearing nylons! 🙂
Yes, I think you can wear boots in the summer as well – I did that too – lol
You rebel you! 🙂
((^_^))
I say you can definitely wear white every season! Love the outfit and the funky bracelets.
Thanks and I am!
I am very curious, how did you get a scan barcode for mobile apps for your blog and can anyone get that added to their blog…I need info if U have time 2 give. Thank you so much.
Yes, there are several websites, http://www.the-qrcode-generator.com/
I also have other links if this is not what works for you.
U R A true sweetheart. I will try this one and let U know. Thank U very much.
You are welcome, I didn’t use that website so just in case, I have the papers at home and will respond this evening.

Thank U much, I’ll check it out.
I have really never understood the rationale of not wearing white after Labor day. I wonder who made that edict, and we all followed.
Somebody who didn’t have a lot of White Clothing – lol!
My take is that you can wear white white as long as it’s not too cold or you balance it out with something darker or it’s a heavier material. When it’s winter time I switch to cream and off white.
Yes, that works, I always love the black and white combo.
You look great, and great find on the $1 pants! Due to children and dogs, I rarely wear white. I also feel like white washes me out. However, I do think there is a place in a woman’s winter wardrobe for a white jewelry, or even a cozy white sweater with a dark skirt or slacks!
oh yes, a big fluffy white sweater in the snow would be perfect…talking about being washed out! ((^_^))
Enjoy the rest of this short week and thanks for stopping by.
Living down here in the sub tropics…we don[‘t go by the Labor Day rule…thank goodness. Looking great as always.
I know which is why us in the Mid-Atlantic should follow suit! Have a fantabulous week.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wearing white after labor day. Those social rules are silly. I will definitely continue to wear white after labor day. There’s even “winter white.” I love your B&W outfit 🙂
Hey, I know you will…no doubt about it – lol!
Here in Southern California white and sandals are year-round wear! 🙂
You look beautiful btw…

Yes, I miss the left coast – lived there a short while in my early years. Thanks for stopping by, enjoy the rest of your evening.
You got those great pants for $1.00, you got me beat for sure. I live in South Fla and we wear white when it is not cold, like two weeks in Feb.
I love Florida and if I lived there would probably wear white all year long as well. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the week!
BTW- the jeans was a fantastical bargain at JCPenney and I prayed they fit!
The point behind not wearing white after labor day is because the color washes you out as your tan fades. Thanks to being a mix of native american and Scottish I have blood hair and a light tan year round. I can pull off white any time well if i did not have messy hands grabbing me all the time. Peanut butter on my jeans now. I can;t wait for a shower after bed time no white for me unless going out.
Ah…now that makes a little sense – lol!
I can’t imagine NOT wearing white period, let alone because its after Labor day. I think that idea is so time to move away from…great pics keep wearing your white lets rebel 🙂
Thanks sweetie, I love white and as long as it’s matched appropriately it should be worn every season! Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for Liking my blog. Congrats to you, as well, for being nominated! Great outfit you’re wearing and hubby did well taking photos. I was raised in Indiana and we followed that rule but once I moved to Texas all bets were off. White anytime. Seems like it never gets cold here. (Especially the older I get. 🙂 )
I think the many other fashion “rules” – wearing white after Labor Day is not longer a standard. Have a good day!
I totally wear white whenever I want. As Craig Ferguson often says, “I can’t live by rules”. HA. For one thing, (don’t gasp too loud) I hate shopping for clothes and have a pretty minimal wardrobe. I usually buy clothes on holidays. My friend Alys and I are hitting San Francisco next week so maybe I buy something new then.
Woohoo, shopping in San Fran – can’t wait to see what you buy! Have fun.
