Tonight was the premier of “Night at the W” and I attended the festivities at Walgreens store #11055 in Middletown. Without fanfare, paparazzi or flashing bulbs I made a grand entrance through the automatic doors and was greeted by the ever smiling and radiant sales associate Anna Marie (silly me).
Tim Gunn’s “The Red Carpet Guide to Glamour” featured Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss, Clump Crusher Mascara and Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm; Pantene Pro-V AgeDefy Hair Treatment; Crest 3D White 2 Hour Express Whitestrips and Olay Smooth Finish Facial Hair Removal Duo. The arrangements showcased each product along with money saving coupons.

I purchased a bottle of Covergirl Outlast Nail Gloss and look forward to tomorrow night’s mani/pedi. I hope you to had an opportunity to attend this evening’s exciting event at your local Walgreens, but if not, check it out before your next “Red Carpet Event” – Smooches!

This morning on EyeOpenerTV there was a featured interview with Tim Gunn of Project Runway. He is partnering with Walgreens in introducing “Night At The W”, an exclusive cosmetic event being held Thursday, 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the stores. I was curious and wanted more information so after work I stopped at my local Walgreens in Middletown. My favorite store associate, Anna Marie was busily working the department, which as usual was fully stocked and neatly organized. The new displays provided an upscale look with a clean and inviting layout, there definitely will be a lot of activity at this “Get Ready For The Red Carpet” event on Thursday.
Of course I am always on the look out for those orange, clearance stickers and tonight I spied Sally Hansen Salon Effects and Nail Polish on sale. I am really looking forward to Thursday night and along with my Walgreens Rewards card I think I will come out a winner.
Have a good night – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy 1st Day of the New Year 2013.
Last night I stayed up until 3:00 am watching The Twilight Zone Marathon so today slept in until noon. I love the first day of the year because it’s perfect for laying back and relaxing. I purchased a Foot Bath from Walmart last week, it was half price and something that I really needed. To the warm water I added Lavender Epson Salt purchased from Dollar Tree and a few drops of aromatherapy oil which made it even more relaxing.
Instead of polishing my nails, I chose to use Sally Hansen Salon effects Polish Strips. The pattern is “Skinny Jeans” and was on clearance at Walgreens for $2.49. I have tried other brands but have found Salon Effects to be the easiest to install and lasts the longest.
Have a fantabulous evening – Smooches!

If you are like me, you are NOT ready for back to school ~ not ready for going back to the routines ~ not ready for going back to the early morning regiment ~ not ready to go back to the homework, tests and projects. I know this too shall pass, but give me just a few more months to adjust and I’ll be happy!
Malik will be a Junior in High School so all he needed was new sneakers, a jacket and shirts & other than a backpack and according to him a car (yea right) we are done. I don’t need to buy school supplies because I’ve have a full stock which was purchased in bulk at the end of the season at Walgreens.
August 28th is knocking at the back door – Malik is ready – mommy isn’t

Walgreens had a great coupon deal this week on eggs and bacon – $.99 each, limit 3. I almost missed it but was able to get there this evening after dinner. All my men are home for the summer and this definitely helped my grocery budget.

I had several coupons that were expiring at the end of the month and my men needed more body wash so I made a quick trip to Walgreens on Monday.

I hope and pray that all the Mothers had as nice of a day spent with their children as I did. My Mother’s Day was the fulfillment of one of those “I can’t wait till they grow up and …. “
“I can’t wait till they grow up and talk…I can’t wait till they grow up and are potty trained..I can’t wait till they grow up and walk… I can’t wait till they grow up and go to school…get a job…move out…etc. My “I can’t wait” was having them drive me to lunch and paying for it tip and all!
Although there are times that I long for my sons to be toddlers again, it’s a beautiful thing when they are old enough to appreciate and show
- how much they care without coaxing. I was very surprised when hubby told me that the boys planned on taking me out for lunch and it was a beautiful day with just the two of them. Afterwards we stopped at Lowes to get flowers and of course to Goodwill for the Mother’s Day $5 off $20 sale.
