Hello Friends and Happy Resurrection Sunday
Wishing You and Yours a Blessed Day!
I was up at 5:30 a.m. but was still late for Sunrise Service because it started at 6:00, why I thought it began at 6:30 is beyond me. I got there just in time for offering and hymns but most importantly didn’t miss the sermon. Church service was good and we had several visitors from local churches and a great breakfast downstairs afterwards.
The weather although dry was cool, wore a cardigan over sleeveless sheath dress.
Breakfast with my grandmother’s best friend, Christine
Loved her white cowboy hat from Walmart
After a breakfast of eggs, potatoes, bacon, biscuits and coffee!

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday
I hope you were treated to a beautiful Spring day with flowers in bloom and birds chirping their early Easter greetings.
Hubby and I spent the day together which is a rarity because he’s usually visiting his mother in Wilmington. Next week is Spring Break so he’ll have more time to spend with her and today it was just the two of us. Unfortunately it was wasn’t a date or even romantic, we just went shopping at Lowe’s for a new kitchen sink faucet to replace the one that has been leaking for months – wasting both water and money.
Next we went to car dealerships in Newark and Wilmington checking out Certified Pre-Owned Hondas. It’s the last sales day of the month as well as the end of the quarter so they were extremely busy.
Finding nothing in our price range we ended our day at L&G Soul Food Southern Cuisine for dinner. We ordered platters for us as well as the boys and once home we all enjoyed fried Whiting, collard greens, mac n cheese, string beans, coleslaw and corn bread …needless to say, “itis” kicked in shortly afterwards but it was too late for a nap.
After dinner I had to change into my comfy-stretchy clothes!
Threw on the sandals to punch up my sloppy Saturday outfit!
Have a good night – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve!
Today is my last day at work until next Tuesday, the 2nd of April and I am counting down the hours! Looking forward to relaxing but more importantly cleaning out my closets! Getting ready for the 1st Flea Market of the season and will be gathering unused clothes and household items in order to make a little extra cash.
This is my favorite maxi skirt and I will be keeping it because the print can be paired with a variety of tops and shoes, therefore, it will always be a closet staple.
Skirt -Boscov’s // Twin Set Sweater – closet staple // Mossimo Embellished flats – Target
Shawl – Burlington Coat Factory
Necklace and Earring Set – Jewelrymax.net // Bracelets – Burlington Coat Factory // Ring – Mizoutlet.com // Watch – Avon
What items in your closet will always be keepers?

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday
It took me a while to get myself together after this morning’s encounter with my neighbor, but I’m glad that it happened because last night I dreamt about my aunt who passed away on Friday. However, the reason for being extremely late this morning was the multiple outfit changes, not the Polka Dot dress, that was a given but what to wear with it. I tried 2 different shirts over it,…2 different shirts underneath it…3 different color blazers before finally settling on this Aqua Cardigan. I buttoned it and put on a pair of Mossimo flats then looked into the mirror, I immediately thought about FLOTUS Obama meeting The Queen of England.
Remember the flack she got for having the audacity to wear a sweater to meet The Queen for the first time – puh-leeze people – get a life! No matter your political affiliation, that was just stupid with a capital “S”, such an embarrassment for our country…just one of many…okay stepping down from the Soap Box now.
I am so glad that the weather is finally warming up, the birds were chirping in all their glory..aah the sounds of Spring.
All the snow is gone!
Sipping tea from my grandmother’s cup and saucer
Bracelets – Burlington Coat Factory // Watch, Ring and Necklaces – Avon
Today’s outfit seemed appropriate as a transition from Winter to Spring what do you think?

After my sister died the words in this song became more meaningful, and it was played during my grandmother’s Memorial Service. When they were alive we never left each other or ended a conversation without a saying these three words – I LOVE YOU.
We have an elderly neighbor who has been a widow for over 20 years, she no longer drives so each morning she is standing in her garage waiting for her ride, it’s usually her daughter. I leave for work, normally late and always in a hurry so when I see her I just wave quickly and continue driving. This morning looking down the street I could see her standing in her garage waiting for her ride, and once again I am running late this time by more than 20 minutes. As I drove closer for some strange reason I decided to slow down, stop and ask her how she was feeling. Watching her slowly walk down the driveway there was such sadness in her eyes, I immediately got out of the car to greet her.
Her only child, her one daughter went to sleep and never woke up…she wasn’t ill…no medical issues…in her 50’s…just went to sleep and never woke up. Tears streaming down both our faces, hugging tightly, she whispered in my ear, “I just wish I was there to tell her I Love You”
I pray never to know the pain of losing a child but the loss of any loved one leaves a hole in your heart…pick up the phone today and say These Three Words.

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday
‘Ole Man Winter is finally giving up with temps rising every day this week, by Good Friday all the snow should be melted. Yesterday schools dismissed early so kids in the neighborhood had a chance to play in the snow, 1 house even made a family of snow people including a dog, it was so cute.
I miss not having little guys anymore and hate to see kids that are too attached to electronics. I’ve seen toddlers in grocery carts playing with their parent’s iPhones or iPads. I don’t know about you but sometimes I just want to go outside and play! Growing up we were up and out early riding bikes, jumping Double Dutch, playing Jacks, BoxBall, Hop Scotch, Red Light Green Light 1-2-3, Freeze Tag, all kinds of outside games.
I truly miss those times – what were some of your favorite childhood games?
Top – Boscov’s // Khaki Skirt – GW Boutique (Goodwill) // Christian Siriano for Payless pumps // bracelet, earrings and necklace – jewelry box
Melting snow should be gone by Friday

Hello Friends and Happy Monday
I hope you all had a good weekend, mine was nice and it started with a Transformation Bonfire at church Friday night, where we all witnessed a Meteorite. I had just put away my iPad after taking pictures of the bonfire so didn’t get a chance to capture it, did you see it? We were outside in the cold so the songs, prayers and Sermonette was short, and it ended with an unburdening. We were encouraged to write down anything that we wanted to be released from and then cast it into the fire. Only hours before I was informed that my Aunt has passed, she had been suffering with emphysema for years and God finally released her from her pain and suffering – RIP Aunt Myrtle.
We woke up this morning to a Wonderful Winter Wonderland…Spring will just have to wait a little longer. Although it is very pretty to look at it wasn’t so pretty to drive in, it took 2 hours to get to work and it’s still snowing so it will be a long commute home.
Today’s outfit had to be changed from a skirt and blouse to pants and top for a casual and comfortable Monday.
