DISCLOSURE: I RECEIVED PRODUCT FREE IN ORDER TO FACILITATE THIS REVIEW, HOWEVER, OPINIONS ARE 100% MY OWN
Hello friends, what is your favorite breakfast food? In our house, eggs rule the roost – literally.
My son has been making scrambled eggs since he was tall enough to reach the knobs on the stove. He loves scrambled eggs but hates to cleanup the pan afterwards. I recently had an opportunity to review the Ozeri Green Earth Panand this has definitely solved the problem.
The Ozeri Green Earth Pan is coated naturally in ceramic and is free of harmful chemicals or toxins which can be released at high temperatures. It cooks fast and easy on medium heat and no oils or butters were required. You can however, use oils or butter, but I try to keep my caloric intact to a minimum. I used a non-scratching plastic spatula to remove the eggs and made a delicious breakfast sandwich.
Check out this short video of me making a version of an Egg McMuffin, oh and by the way, the pan clean up was just as easy as the frying of the egg.
The Ozeri pan is just the right size and weight for all users in our house and is oven safe to 180 degrees. A full warranty is available and it ships quickly so if you want to have one for the holidays, order today from Amazon.com.
Disclosure Statement: I was provided a sample product from Mirassou Wines in order to facilitate this review, however, opinions are 100% my own.
‘Tis the season to reflect and take stock of all our blessings, to share good times with family and friends and to simply enjoy the wonderful life that we have been given. Too often we get caught up in the day to day activities, stuck and struck with stress and anxiety, so when that happens, remember this motto, “Have a glass of wine and you’ll be fine!”
That’s exactly what my girls and I did on Sunday afternoon, we kicked off the week with fun, food, laughter and of course a couple bottles of wine thanks to Mirassou Winery.
The last time we were all together we had such a good time that we decided to have a day of fun at least once per month. We all live in close proximity so it makes for an easy commute or walk in case we have too much fun!
Our hostess, Carol, had a spread with more than enough food to keep our bellies full and the pairing of the Brie Cheese and Fig Preserves on a Crostini was a perfect compliment to the Mirassou Chardonnay.
This was our first time drinking a Chardonnay and I normally drink Sweet Reds, however, the California Chardonnay was a light and refreshing wine which turned out to be our favorite. The Pinot Noir was a bit too dry for us but we didn’t allow it to go to waste – lol.
To celebrate the season and commemorate the occasion, the bottom of each glass was painted with chalkboard paint so that we could write what we were thankful for using a white permanent paint marker.
The glasses were a gift and to make the day even more special I shot this short video which was supposed to be the outtakes. It was too funny not to show it just the way it was so enjoy our antics #memoriesofgoodtimes.
If you are looking for wines to serve or give as a gift this holiday season, check out the many varieties of Mirassou Wines.
Merlot, Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Moscato and Sunset Red, all reasonable priced as to not break your budget and can be paired with a variety of foods.
This was Shawn’s favorite, what is your favorite wine to serve for the holidays or when entertaining at home?

Let me ask you this question, “can doing laundry change your mood?” My answer is “YES IT CAN”, and it can be changed for the better. I like it because for the little ones that can’t cook it’s a perfect breakfast to make for Mom on Mother’s Day. However, if you’re a Mom that likes to wake up to something hot (not dad), and a little bit more filling, (not dad) then try this recipe for a Slow Cooked Breakfast Casserole, it’s easy to make and cooks itself overnight.
Ingredients:
1 – 12 oz package frozen hash browns
1 – package breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
12 oz shredded cheese
6 – *scallions chopped
8 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp pepper – a few more dashes when layering the hash browns
I purchased Jimmy Dean fully cooked turkey sausage and *Safeway brand frozen potatoes with onions and green peppers so I didn’t use the scallions. I originally made this back in December after seeing the recipe on Brown Eyed Baker’s blog. Like she said, it was hard to stay asleep because around 5:00 am, the smell and aroma that generated from the kitchen woke me up!
On Saturday night’s I’m usually up late watching television and working on my blog, so this is a perfect recipe to start late for an early morning Sunday breakfast.
After spraying the crock pot with cooking spray, layer 1/3 of the hash browns, sprinkle on some pepper, add 1/3 of the sausage then sprinkle on some cheese. Repeat until all ingredients are used making sure the last layer is the cheese.
In a large bowl or measuring cup, whisk together the eggs, milk, garlic powder, and pepper. Pour this over the hash browns, sausage and cheese in the crock pot.
Slow cook on low for 6-8 hours – try to get some sleep because the smell will definitely wake you up before your alarm clock does!
Pour a cup of coffee or tea then enjoy your early morning breakfast casserole in bed! What do you think, is this something you would enjoy waking up to?
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
Don’t forget to come back at 6:00 p.m. for the #WWDParty!
