Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay – Fri-Yay – Fri-Yay, the first one of the new year.
I don’t know about you, but I feel exhausted!  Perhaps it’s because the highs of the holidays are over or simply because I need more sleep…whatever it is, I’m just glad that the weekend is almost here.  Today’s casual Friday oufit consists of 5 shades of Purple ~ socks, boots, scarf, gloves and eye shadow.  Does it remind you of “Barney” – “I Love You…You Love Me” – lol

Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve !
Wow it’s already Thursday, are you looking forward to first weekend of the year?  It seems like the holidays flew by and the Valentine’s candy is now starting to fill the store shelves.  Speaking of stores shelves, I stopped by the Concord Mall last night and found some great bargains at Boscov’s and New York & Company.  They each had clothing and accessories marked 30-80% off, I’ll show you what I got in a separate post.
Today’s outfit was also a bargain as it was totally thrifted from GW Boutique -aka- Goodwill

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
Now that the holidays are over and everyone is back to school and work we are now looking forward to the first major snow storm of the year.  If I had it my way it wouldn’t hit until late March and then a quick thaw straight to Spring!  I hope your Hump Day is progressing nicely and that you are not trying to cram 5 days of work into 3, but if you are, stop…take a deep breath and say,  “the weekend is almost here!”

Hello Friends and Happy 1st Day of the New Year 2013.
Last night I stayed up until 3:00 am watching The Twilight Zone Marathon so today slept in until noon. I love the first day of the year because it’s perfect for laying back and relaxing.  I purchased a Foot Bath from Walmart last week, it was half price and something that I really needed. To the warm water I added Lavender Epson Salt purchased from Dollar Tree and a few drops of aromatherapy oil which made it even more relaxing.

Instead of polishing my nails, I chose to use Sally Hansen Salon effects Polish Strips. The pattern is “Skinny Jeans” and was on clearance at Walgreens for $2.49. I have tried other brands but have found Salon Effects to be the easiest to install and lasts the longest.

Hello Friends and Happy New Year’s Eve 2012!
Back to work after having a week off which flew by too quickly, thankfully there are only a few others in the office so I can play catch-up in peace.  My son, aka “Lamont” gave me some clothes to be donated to Goodwill but I kept this flannel shirt (Fred) and it fits perfectly!

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:
600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 11,000 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 18 years to get that many views.
Click here to see the complete report.

1. What is the best New Years Eve you’ve ever had?
New Year’s Eve has always been good but I still miss my grandmother who passed away in 2009 – at midnight we were always on our knees together in prayer or on the phone wishing each other a Happy New Years. RIP Mama!
2. Are you doing anything for NYE this year and if so what?
Yes, cooking our traditional meal of fried chicken wings, collard greens and black eye peas. At midnight, hubby and sons are on our knees in prayer. then back to watching The Twilight Zone Marathon!!
Name a book we should all read come January?
I don’t know, I am still trying to read my magazines from 2010!
What are your New Years resolutions?
Same as every year – lose weight!
Happy New Years!!
