Marshalls’ Shoe Sale

I popped into Marshalls on Friday evening to get a reprieve from the traffic on 202 South.  I had a pair of shoes that I needed to return and spent a few extra minutes checking out and taking pics of the latest styles.  I returned the 1 pair and purchased 2 but only spent $7.98.

Purchased these to go with my striped maxi skirt

tried on but didn’t purchase

Flea Market Saturday

On the 1st Saturday of each month from April to November you can rent 3 parking spaces at Dutch Country Farmers Market for $15 to sell new and used items. You get a lot more traffic at the Farmers Market than you would in having an individual yard sale at home. My husband thinks I am a hoarder because I keep a lot of unused items in the house, which is true but I am definitely not like those as seen on tv or like some of the other vendors. I like buying at flea markets but LOVE making extra money selling at flea markets and for a few hours that is exactly what I did.

Despite the intense rains on Friday night, Saturday morning turned out to be a perfect day to buy and sell at Farmers Market – can’t wait until next month!

Yes, I keep and sold old electronics!

OOTD – Red and White Stripes

FRI-YAY ~ 1st DAY OF JUNE ~ END OF THE WORK WEEK!

It can’t get any better than that but I do hope that  the rain holds off  because tomorrow I plan on setting up a table at the Flea Market  in Middletown.   Over the past few weeks I have doing some serious purging around the house in hopes of making a few extra dollars, but anything that doesn’t sell will be donated to Goodwill!

Top and Pants – Goodwill// Belt and Shoes – Ross

I don’t remember where I purchased the bracelets and ring, but I bought the earrings from a shop in Rehoboth Beach back in the 80’s

OOTD – Avon Pink

“Ding Dong…Avon calling…” I am an Independent Sales Rep for Avon but I don’t ring customer’s bells however, this slogan always comes to mind when I wear pink. This morning I started with a red top because it pairs well with a black white combo, but later changed to the pink which works equally well.

In keeping with the Avon theme, my jewelry includes my Avon 125th Anniversary Charm bracelet, a CZ ring, black beaded necklace and Sunshine Nail polish. If you are interested in ordering Avon products, please go to my website http://www.youravon.com/ablake48 to place an order – the new way to “ding dong”! ((^_^))

Top – Ross// Skirt – Goodwill// Wedge Sandals – Charlotte Russe (last year)// Purse – Charmingly Linda’s Consignment Shop

Ankle Bracelet – gift from hubby with son’s name engraved on each heart

Save A Lot Bargains

On Friday, my son and I went to Save A Lot, a grocery store that I pass everyday on the way home but have never stopped. They had some good bargains especially in the produce department. Tayair thought it was weird that we had to pay a quarter to get a shopping cart, but understood the concept when we returned the cart and got the quarter back. This is not a fancy store nor is it “ghetto” as some people posted on Foursquare but the price is right for certain items as shown below:

These turkey links were awesome on the grill!

Bouillon cubes – 2/$1.00

Ground turkey – $2.99

Bar-B-Que Sauce – $.77 cents

My FAVORITE veggie!

Bagging your own groceries is another way the store saves you money.

I will definitely be back!

OOTD – I Can’t Believe It’s Hump Day Wednesday

When the work week begins with a holiday it seems like the rest of the week just flies by ~ I can’t believe it’s already Hump Day Wednesday.

This skirt was thrifted and I was attracted to it because of the graduated colors as well as the elephant and giraffe prints. I was going to wear it with a sleeveless tank but instead paired it with this reddish-burgundy top purchased from Marshalls or Ross. The bronze Pesaro sandals are a closet staple and are my go-to slip on-s when I don’t want to wear higher heels.
