Palazzo Pants | Popular or Played Out?
Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday!
Last week after reading a post on the Fabulous after Forty blog, Palazzo Pants – How to Wear Them with Pizazz, I wondered if they are still a popular style for women over 50, because they certainly are for me.
I have several but this particular pair was purchased a few years ago from Ross and are great to wear to work on Casual Fridays.
I remember wearing wide-leg or “elephant” leg pants with platform shoes back in elementary school in the 70’s. I also remember almost falling and breaking my neck walking along a stone wall after my shoe got caught inside that big a$$ pant leg!
Now here I am over 40 years later wearing almost the same style, thankfully the legs aren’t as wide but my question is, “are Palazzo pants still popular or have they played out?”
I’ve worn these pants in previous OOTD posts, but this is the first time they are paired with this thrifted top from Goodwill.
The watch and ring/bracelet are Mark/Avon.
The cut-out sandals are also from Avon, they have really stepped up their shoe game over the years.
So what do you think, are Palazzo Pants still popular or are they Played Out?
This month I’m hanging out with the BloggyMoms and Personal Style Linkup with Whitney – come on over and join in on the fun!

OMG I love Palazzo pants please don’t tell me played out lol!! They are so comfy and care free
Nope, they will never play out of my closet! Hope you are having a terrific Tuesday!
Those pants are perfect on you and they are in still in style my Dear. I could not wear them back in the day because my thighs are too close for comfort and now even more. They are easy to wear and you are rockin’ them right now. Enjoy!
Thank you thank you thank you, but I’d trade them for those floral print jeans you got from Dillards!
I think these look absolutely fab on you. Especially the way you accessorized them. I love your bracelet-ring set. I want it, way too cute. You look great and you definitely know how to dress and style your pants.
Thank you my dear, I love palazzo pants! I just got the bracelet-ring from Avon/Mark and I may get it in Silver as well. If you don’t have an Avon rep, please feel free to shop via my portal http://www.youravon.com/ablake48
I can’t pull them off but you look great! I’m always so drawn to them too since they’re so bright and colorful!
I bet you could, I love wearing them in the summer especially with flat sandals. Hope you had a terrific Tuesday.

What’s old is new, etc. I haven’t worn a pair since college but do love wide legged pants. Might have to look into them.
Yes, there are so many styles that have come full circle and I often laugh when young fashionistas call it “Vintage”.
The pants look so much fun to wear.
Thank you, they are – elastic waist and all!!
I don’t know if they’ve played out or not, but they are definitely still cute…plus they look so comfortable. Keep wearing them….
Thank you I will because I love how comfortable they are and with the busy pattern you can wear with any type or color of top. Thank you and have a wonderful Thankful Thursday!
I love them and need to get a pair, I saw a 60+ woman in a tie dye pair yesterday with a white t-shirt that had the tie dye design in the middle of it So cute just had to tell her I loved her out fit. I should have asked her for a picture, she was rocking it with a short fresh hair cut fresh make up and beautiful smile.
Gotta love when mature women throw caution to the wind and are comfortable in their own skin!
I get a 60s vibe from the pants and they look lovely on you. I am scared to wear patterned pants but I do enjoy them on bloggers:) LOVE the orange nails and the bracelet!
Thank you – I think you would look great in printed pants or maybe a printed skirt – try it you might like it!!!
