Hello Friends and Happy Saturday, I hope you had an enjoyable day.
I am sitting at the kitchen table sipping Ginger tea trying to accept the fact that son #2 is no longer my baby. He and I had planned to go to Best Buy to purchase Dragon Speak software and an external DVD drive for his Notebook. I asked him to take a few shots before leaving and as he reluctantly did, he informed me that we had to be home by 4:00 because his “girlfriend” was coming over. “Girlfriend…girlfriend…did he say girlfriend?”
I was all smiles as he hadn’t told me yet
Huh, what did he just say?
Don’t get me wrong, he is 16 and has had crushes on girls before but this was going to be the first time I was actually going to meet “his girlfriend”, the first time a girl was coming to the house. I know…I know…but I’m gonna need something stronger than this tea!
And he knows that if he doesn’t do the right thing, these will be up his butt!

I very rarely if ever pay full retail price for any article of clothing or accessory and I rarely if ever shop at the stores in the mall. However, yesterday was one of those rare occasions because I stopped at Best Buy which just happens to be next door to the Concord Mall. I love the various clothing lines at Boscov’s but you really have to take your time because of how they have them set up throughout the floor. It was late and I was heading out the door but a 75% off clearance sign grabbed my attention. I only spent a few minutes going through a few racks and purchased 3 items, totaling $32.74.

No matter how hard I try, I can never seem to find anything at H&M, but at New York & Company it’s a different story. Not that I needed more jewelry, but when the sign reads 80% off, it’s too hard to resist! I purchased two statement necklaces one in red and another in blue for $4.59 each, original price was $22.94.
Leopard print casual sweater ($36.95) for $11.08, and sleeveless green top ($36.94) for $7.39
If you are looking to add more jewelry to your collection, I suggest you check out New York & Company – I may go back because they are sending me a coupon for completing the survey printed on the receipt!

Hello friends and happy 1st day of Fall 2012, I hope your Saturday was a good one. My day started with my sons and later we met up with a girlfriend and her son in Dover. Malik drove and our first stop was at Spence’s Bazaar. I took my Clutch Purses down because Lolita had offered to sell them on consignment in her kiosk, God is good! We walked around taking in the sights of fall: pumpkins, gourds, mums, fresh veggies and fruits. I truly love this time of year, transitioning from the heat of summer to the crispness of fall, even though it was in the 80’s today.
Our next stop was Target, I purposely did not get a cart but in the shoe section I found yellow pumps, not the florescent ones which were so popular this summer for $8.98 a pair, and when I saw them in pink and teal I ran with a quickness to get a cart! The black patent leather and snakeskin pumps were 30% off, so I only got the black pair. I will probably go back for the snakeskin’s next week. The clearance racks were filled with some great items and I found two sheer tops which will be worn over camisoles and a Merona Pencil skirt on sale for $18.00.
My girlfriend and her son met us at Target and our next stop was Beauty Max the beauty supply store. The boys veered off into CitiTrends while she and I shopped for over an hour, found some nice units, nail polish and beauty supplies, we also took time to assist others. Using our “expertise” we helped an elderly women who is scheduled for surgery and a young lady preparing for a wedding in choosing just the right wigs.
Tired and hungry we drove to Pizzeria Uno for a late lunch. The food was excellent and the waiter was outstanding. It was a perfect start to the new season and I am looking forward to the rest of the year!

Happy Thursday my friends, I hope you are having a stress-free productive day. This is the last day of skirt week because tomorrow I will be traveling and won’t be in the office. I still have a lot more to wear but I did find several that will be sold at next month’s Flea Market. This weekend I may tackle the shoes but if not, it will definitely be done before the end of the month.
This skirt still had the price tag on it, clearance for $7.98, from Burlington Coat Factory and I almost didn’t wear it. It’s ruffled on the sides and I thought it might accentuate my thighs but the color matched the shoes (purchased here) so I cut the tag and wore it. The multi color top is a closet staple as is the jewelry (because I can’t remember where purchased).
I picked up this cloth fan at Dollar Tree to keep in my purse for those “personal summer” moments!

Also featured are select Preswick & Moore Separates for $6.99 each, this collection is versatile and is perfect for the workplace. There’s a large selection of summer shoes and sandals on sale as well as racks and racks of clearance merchandise marked 50-75% off. I purposely did not get a cart and could have spent all afternoon shopping but chose to use restraint and purchased only a few items which I will post later. On my way home I may stop at the Boscov’s in the Concord Mall but I prefer Exton because they have such nice cashiers, especially Edwin. This definitely was a great way to start the weekend and I hope you are having a wonderful FRI-YAY!!

There’s a large selection of summer shoes and sandals on sale as well as racks and racks of clearance merchandise marked 50-75% off. I purposely did not get a cart and could have spent all afternoon shopping but chose to use restraint and purchased only a few items which I will post later. On my way home I may stop at the Boscov’s in the Concord Mall but I prefer Exton because they have such nice cashiers, especially Edwin. Now is the perfect time to take advantage of the end of the season sales and clearance racks. Sleeveless dresses can easily transition into the fall by simply adding a jacket or blazer. Throw on an over sized knit sweater, change from open toe sandals to tights and boots and the dress can be worn well into the winter months. Here are a few dresses that I found at Ross for $12.99, and Burlington Coat Factory for $16.99, some of which will definitely be worn during the cooler months.
