They were so nice that I wore them twice…as a matter of fact, I think I have worn them more than twice since the last “You Choose The Shoes” episode. I just love the black and white print with the solid yellow heel and pairing them with this red dress which is also from Avon was a great match.
However, don’t let me muddy the waters because the other shoes which have a floral print are just as nice so you be the judge.
Once again I chose to highlight the yellow heels with a yellow purse, this one was purchased from Kohl’s last season. I then decided to change it up with a black clutch purse from The Rainbow Shop.
The dress has a cinched waist so it’s a bit more flattering and less clingy. The accessories for this outfit is a Goldtone coin necklace and an over sized multicolored bracelet to coordinate with the floral pink heels…that’s if I chose to wear them.

So what do you think, which pair would you have chosen to wear with this dress? I was thinking that maybe the chunky heels were too over powering but it seems as though chunky heels are back in fashion for the season and can be worn with any outfit.
Thank you to all who voted last month in the “You Choose the Shoes” episode #4. The overwhelming majority chose the Avon print so perhaps they will win again…let’s see how they fair this month.

Hello friends and welcome to week 8 of “You Choose the Shoes”
Last week I actually did try to rearrange my closet, pulling out the winter wear in exchange for the Spring and Summer shoes, but I didn’t get too far. Hopefully, on Monday, Memorial Day I will get it all done.
Before we begin, I would like to ask for your prayers as we say goodbye and prepare to bury yet another cousin on Saturday who lost her battle with breast cancer #ihatecancer
Our cousin Renee’ was a beautiful, kind, loving and spiritual woman and I know she is looking over us all. I am going to dedicate a separate post to her once all is said in done, because I want to honor her husband and children as well.
This week’s contenders are Patent Leather wedges – versus- Patent Leather pumps
I remember wearing, and as a matter of fact I still have a pair of my patent leather Easter shoes from childhood. They were the squeakiest shoes ever made but when you shined them with Vaseline…watch out world…you were as sharp as a tack!
This is one of my favorite dresses, I purchased it for Tayair’s High School graduation in 2010. The purse is a recent purchase from Walmart #WearWalmart Speaking of Walmart, did you see my spread on their website…I’m in my “big girl panties” – click the picture in the sidebar to be taken to the advertisement and video. I am still in amazement of it all!
Okay, back to the shoes, the patent leather wedges were thrifted from Goodwill and the pumps are Mossimo via Target. As you can see, hubby was at it again…
The bracelet was purchased from a Clair’s in the mall and the necklace was a gift from hubby.
So which pair works better with this outfit?
Thank you all for voting last week…and the winners were….the granny booties!
Don’t forget to check out my new blog – Blogging with Blake and Youtube channel…oh and I also have an app, so download it from Google Play for some great coupons, rewards and savings!
I hope your day is as beautiful as you are!

Hello friends, I hope all is well in your world.
Thank you for voting and for all of your comments in last week’s You Choose The Shoes contest. I hope you are having as much fun as I am with this mid-week blog feature. There were many comments and suggestions but the overwhelming majority chose the UrbanOg sandals.
This week’s contenders includes a recently purchased pair of sandals from Payless versus the Paula Abdul Forever collection from Avon.
The fuchsia sandals are by far my favorite pair of the season, I am so glad that I decided to stop in at Payless during a recent sale at the Exton Square Mall. Not that I don’t love these black and white sandals from Avon because they are great to wear with different outfits and are my go-to shoes for church.
If I am not mistaken, this faux wrap dress was purchased at JC Penney and the colors work well with both pair of sandals, what do you think? I am very upset that JC Penney was shut down at the Exton Square Mall as they had some great clearance bargains.
It was such a bright sunny Sunday that it was hard to keep from squinting, so concentrate on the shoes instead of my eyes!
So which shoes do you choose?
Have you decided – take another look.
Can’t wait to see which pair you chose, have a wonderful day!

Hello Friends and Happy Thankful Thursday
Today’s outfit of the day is featuring a J. Crew Inspired Rosette Necklace that I won in a sponsored contest given by fellow blogger Susan at Charming Lucy. I got home late last evening after attending the Delaware Today Fashion Awards and a package was waiting for me on the kitchen table. When I saw it I immediately fell in love and knew I wanted to wear it before Spring.
Avon watch and blue “stone” ring helps to tie it all together.
Both the knit top and patterned skirt were previously purchased at Marshalls.
RocketDog Peep Toe pumps from The Shoe Dept in the Exton Mall
I am thankful to have received yet another wonderful surprise this week and tomorrow’s post will be a wrap up of my birthday. Linking up with some lovely ladies at A Lovely Blog Hop, come on over and share.
Have a fantabulous day – Smooches!

Hello Friends, I hope you had a wonderful Saturday!
The weather here was absolutely GORGEOUS and like almost everyone else in town we spent most of the day outdoors. My son and I had a few errands to run which included a stop at Rugged Wearhouse in Glasgow. There’s a gazebo behind one of the medical centers with a lake (and a Home Depot) in the background which made for a good spot to take pictures.
Stripped Shirt – Target // Red Jeans – Ross // Zebra Print Flats – Target
He has a job interview next week and needed a few pair of pants
Necklace – Payless // Watch – Avon // Sunnies – won from a Penny Chic contest
My “no spend in March freeze” technically wasn’t broken because I had a gift card from Christmas…lol
Saturday Sunset
Polka Dot Purse – $19.99 and Red Sandals – $9.99 // Rugged Wearhouse
Have a good night and don’t forget
set the clocks forward an hour before bed – Smooches!

Last week while blog hopping I entered a giveaway contest to win a scarf from The Posh’mina. One of the Rafflecopter’s entry requirements was to leave a comment on the company’s Facebook page. After viewing the online shop I chose the Hi’biscus style and commented that I would love to feature it on my blog. Within a matter of hours I received a reply from them with an offer to send one – wow the power of Facebook. (now I need to find a giveaway that offers to pay my bills-lol)
Anywho, a lovely lady by the name of Debbie, also touted as being “Fashionably Fifty” from The Posh’mina contacted me, stated that she liked my blog and would love to send a scarf for me to post. I agreed and said that I would wear it to church taking pictures from there, however, upon receipt I was like a kid at Christmas and couldn’t wait to wear it!
The company’s promo states that they had evolved big scarves to become more fashionable and versatile than ever. I definitely have to agree because of it’s design; the slotted arm holes is by far the best feature. How many times has your pashmina scarf fallen off your arms and onto a dirty floor in a public place? The innovative design of the slotted arm holes prevents this from occurring as well as the constant adjusting and slip sliding from the shoulders.
As like most scarves The Posh’mina can be worn various ways
I love the print of this scarf, the style is Hi’Biscus and there are currently 15 styles available online. Made in India, designed in the United States and are 100% Viscose. Dry cleaning is recommended but I will hand wash in a tub of cool water and Woolite when it needs to be freshened then lightly steamed pressed with an iron.
