Okay, I know this is a shameless plug, but when you find clothing and accessories at a reasonable price AND you don’t need to leave your home to purchase them it’s a win win – so here we go again with another outfit from Avon!
One thing that I love about shopping Avon is that their clothing is true to size. I have gained several pounds over the last few years thanks to menopause and red wine, but I have yet to purchase a dress that didn’t fit and flatter my figure better than one from Avon.
This particular style is very flattering to every figure because of the lace in the front and back as it gives an illusion of being smaller than you are. The animal print purse from Mark/Avon can be worn over the shoulder with the strap attached or as a clutch with the strap placed inside.
Same thing with shoes from Avon, I wear a comfortable size 9 and their shoes are definitely true to size. However, if you wear a half size it is suggested you order a size up. I purchased these two-tone pumps before the dress but it’s a perfect match – what do you think?
As far as accessories are concerned, Avon definitely shines in this area, everything from earrings, necklaces to bracelets, rings and watches, including this cute ring/bracelet set.
I have a drawer full of accessories that I have yet to wear, but love the style and keep them for one of those “just in case” moments. I wore this outfit to work last week and felt cute all day, I almost went out after work but hubby wasn’t feeling too well.
Anywho, this outfit will definitely be back in rotation before the winter winds set in.
Make sure to check out the latest Avon catalog at www.youravon.com/ablake48 and have an awesome week ahead.
On September 20, 1961, I was born, which means today is my birthday – my 54th BIRTHDAY to be exact. I was going to sleep in but I have an appointment qt 11:00 am to have a professional headshot taken and I am really looking forward to that.
Later on if hubby is feeling we may be head out to lunch mid-afternoon. I did, however, want to pop in first to show you one of the outfits that I wore to work last month.
It wasn’t anything fancy, just a plain black pencil skirt with a beige and black sleeveless top which both have been hanging in my closet for years. The shoes also a combination of black and taupe were purchased from The Shoe Dept in the Exton Mall. I wanted to jazz it up a bit so I chose to add a few Peach accessories which also match my toenail polish.
If you recall from one of my videos, this was a tote that I had ordered from Avon and I love the color because it’s one that I hadn’t seen in the stores, I do have a few others that were purchased from Walmart. I love the size of these tote bags as I can just grab one, throw my stuff into it and hit the road.
The peach bracelet was purchased from Old Navy, and I have several in different colors as they were less than $2.00 each on clearance. The ring was a “dollar discount” find.
I also wore this peach tote with a thrifted black and white dress which you will see below.
Is there a purse or tote in your closet that’s your go-to bag?
Hello friends, I hope all is well in your world! As I sit here writing this post I am listening to The Friends of Distinction sing “Lonesome Mood” and it has really gotten me in some sorta mood – I love classic R&B, check it out and let me know how it makes you feel.
Last week as I was going through my closet looking for something to wear for the #JordWatch review, oh, by the way, don’t forget to enter for a chance to win, I came across this sleeveless dress. I had totally forgotten about it but since it was 81 degrees and sunny I figured it was a perfect day to wear it.
The statement necklace was shown in a previous video and was purchased for $5 from Walmart #WearWalmart and the shoes were a gift from fellow blogger SandpaperKisses.
The CZ ring is from Avon and of course the watch is a Jord Wood watch, Ely in Maple. Click on their side banner ad to see some of the other great styles of both men and women wood watches.
Hello friends and Happy Earth Day 2015! I don’t have anything special planned for the day, but did do my part by saving some green with the outfits I wore during the month of April.
Hello friends, I hope all is well in your world. I certainly hope that today’s snow storm is actually the last snowstorm of the season because my wardrobe is so ready for Spring. On Monday, I couldn’t help but wear this sleeveless top even if it was covered by a wool jacket. Do you remember this peplum top that I purchased from JCPenney?
My husband thought I was crazy and he shivered in the doorway to take these pics, but I was actually quite comfortable.
I hadn’t brought up all my winter clothes from the basement so when I saw this top hanging next to the jacket I knew they needed to be paired together – like water and wine, they mix so well together – what do you think?
Speaking of wine, on Sunday, I will be attending A Taste of the MidAtlantic Wine & Food Festival in Wilmington. I can’t wait to share some of the highlights next week and I do hope to see a few of my Delaware followers there as well.
To make the peplum top more “wintery”, I added this thick animal print belt and ethnic necklace. The brown “Mudd’ boots, thrifted khaki skirt and wooden bracelet and earrings completes the outfit.
What say you, are you ready for winter to end? Have a wonderful day.
