OOTD- Wearing Red for Women
This February marks the 10th year of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women® movement.
Despite a lot of progress, there’s still a long way to go, because heart disease continues to be the No. 1 killer of women, taking more lives than all kinds of cancer combined.
Show your support by joining a challenge and sharing it with friends and adding your voice to the Go Red movement. Together, we can end heart disease.

This morning we were surprised with a “Snow Burst”, it was beautiful but made for a very dangerous commute, it took me 2.5 hours to get to work! I passed several accidents but made it safely which is all that matters, and this evening we will be celebrating Malik’s 17th birthday!
Shoes – The Shoe Dept // Jeans – Ross // Top – Boscov’s // Necklaces – Payless // Ring – MizOutlet.com

OOTD – Any Way the Wind Blows
Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve!
Can you believe it’s the last Thursday of the month, tomorrow is the first day of February. February 1st is also my “baby boy’s” Birthday and he will be 17 – somebody is getting old and it isn’t me!!!!
February, 1996, two days after he was born we were hit with a major snow storm that kept us house bound for almost a month. I hope that doesn’t happen again, the storm of 2010 was more than enough to last a lifetime – remember that one?
No snow storms in the forecast, just bright sunshine and high winds, but not like what tore through some southern states last night – we are truly blessed!
Sweater and Slacks are both closet staples // Blue Suede Booties – The Shoe Dept // Scarf – Target
These blue suede booties are different than the one’s featured here. They were purchased last year from The Shoe Dept, and also came in red which I didn’t get – wish I had because it would have saved me from going to the mall today. By the way, have you been to JC Penney’s lately? If not, GO, they have $1 ~ $3 ~ $5 and $10 clearance racks, I got a red skirt and a pair of capris for $5 each! Their new “one price no sales” marketing campaign didn’t work out so well, and now they are restructuring, so head over for some great bargains. The “housewives of Exton” were racking up on kids clothes on clearance for a dollar which are better deals than Goodwill!

OOTD – Warm Up Wednesday
Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday
Today it’s warm yet foggy due to the increase in temps making the morning commute a little slow. There were several fender benders on 95N, one of which was almost mine, however, my Guardian Angel shielded me from it making it a near miss.
You may remember when I purchased this outfit from Boscov’s (here), but it’s the first time that I’ve worn it. This evening is my son’s Open House, and depending on traffic I may not have time to change clothes. I wanted to wear something that would be comfortable enough to take me from work to walking the halls of a High School.
What do you think of this “from the office to the halls of high school” attire?
Wearing the green pair of Mossimo embellished flats from Target and necklace from a Flea Market Vendor.
Green stone accent ring and watch from Avon.

OOTD – Two Times Tuesday and THANK YOU
Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday
There are only a few traces of yesterday’s snow and according to the meteorologist, Mother Nature will be having a hot flash so all that remains will be melted by Friday. It’s tough for people not to accept the existence of Global Warming especially with all of these varying weather conditions around the world. Al Gore has been speaking out for years, now just maybe people will take him more seriously. Okay, stepping down off the soap box.
Most of you know that I love…love…love…shoes and will be the first to admit that I have too many, but it’s not something new, I have been a shoe lover since High School. I’ve always had to have the latest styles in different colors…pastel pinks…mellow yellow…aqua marine blue….heels…flats…sandals…boots – I loved them all. These days I don’t buy as many as I used to but when I find a bargain, I am on it like a heat seeking missile (remember the Target haul?) Because I have so many I can’t remember ever wearing the same pair two days in a row that was until today, this is the first time. There are two reasons for this, first I am still trying to get my closet in order and secondly, these Granny boots are comfortable and look cute with this outfit!
Boots – Ross // Animal Print Maxi Shirt – GW Boutique (Goodwill) // Cowl Neck Shirt – closet staple
Necklace and Earring Set – Jewelrymax.net – Snake and Crocodile Rings – Avon // Belt – Rainbow Shop
Earlier today, I received a nice surprise, I was chosen as this week’s Featured Blogger by Esther on her Frugal Living and More Totally Tuesday Blog Hop!
Hop on over and check her out for some great money saving coupons and deals!
THANK YOU ESTHER !!!

OOTD – Triple "S" Snow Day
Hello Friends and Happy Monday!
I took my car through the car wash yesterday only to wake up to fresh snow this morning. It never seems to fail, the day after you wash your car it rains or in this case snows. Oh well it could be worse, I took my time driving this morning and made it safely to work.
Today’s snow day outfit is another one of the brushed SUEDE pantsuits from the back of the closet, paired with a leopard print SCARF and brown SUEDE boots for an easy breezy triple “S” day.

PRODUCT REVIEW-The Posh'mina Scarf
Last week while blog hopping I entered a giveaway contest to win a scarf from The Posh’mina. One of the Rafflecopter’s entry requirements was to leave a comment on the company’s Facebook page. After viewing the online shop I chose the Hi’biscus style and commented that I would love to feature it on my blog. Within a matter of hours I received a reply from them with an offer to send one – wow the power of Facebook. (now I need to find a giveaway that offers to pay my bills-lol)
Anywho, a lovely lady by the name of Debbie, also touted as being “Fashionably Fifty” from The Posh’mina contacted me, stated that she liked my blog and would love to send a scarf for me to post. I agreed and said that I would wear it to church taking pictures from there, however, upon receipt I was like a kid at Christmas and couldn’t wait to wear it!
The company’s promo states that they had evolved big scarves to become more fashionable and versatile than ever. I definitely have to agree because of it’s design; the slotted arm holes is by far the best feature. How many times has your pashmina scarf fallen off your arms and onto a dirty floor in a public place? The innovative design of the slotted arm holes prevents this from occurring as well as the constant adjusting and slip sliding from the shoulders.
As like most scarves The Posh’mina can be worn various ways
I love the print of this scarf, the style is Hi’Biscus and there are currently 15 styles available online. Made in India, designed in the United States and are 100% Viscose. Dry cleaning is recommended but I will hand wash in a tub of cool water and Woolite when it needs to be freshened then lightly steamed pressed with an iron.
