Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
What are your plans for the weekend? As with most of the MidAtlantic area we have had rain and overcast skies all week and it’s supposed to be the same tomorrow and Sunday so there will be no pool lounging. I will however, be lounging around the house, doing a few chores and working on my blog, and maybe take a few naps in between.
Today’s casual Friday outfit is “faux lace” floral jeans from Rugged Wearhouse and a simple cinched waist Faded Glory top from Walmart.
Blending in with the deck pillows!
Cut-out wedges were purchased at Marshalls 2 years ago, never worn
I always have to wear a belt with low-rise jeans
Enjoy your weekend – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve!
Yesterday I was reviewing some old posts from 2012, and saw this OOTD post dated July 25th, then realized that I wore the same skirt on Tuesday July 9th of this year. I guess it will now become my go-to skirt for July, at least I wore a different top but not sure which look I like better.

I almost wore the same sandals…

I was born in 1961, the decade known for free love, drugs, Go-Go Girls, Rock and Roll, The Vietnam War, Civil Rights, Hippies, the Birth Control Pill, The Peace Corp, Dr King, President Kennedy, assassinations, integration, Space Explorations, Cuban Missile Crisis, The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, The Beverly Hillbillies, Afros, Crew Cuts, and of course the vibrant and colorful world of fashion.
The Past Is a Blast is a website that has culminated fun and interesting facts about the ’60’s, including popular music, dances, sports figures, politicians even the minimum wage, which at the time was just a $1.00, go check it out.
I was too young to fully understand it all but do remember that I loved the fashion and styles of the ’60’s, the bell bottoms, platform shoes, neon colors, color blocking and pattern mixing…hey, isn’t that the style of today?

What is your favorite blast from the past fashion trend? Mine was bell bottoms and Peace Sign jewelry.
Remember this DIY jeans project?

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!
I hope you had a wondeful weekend and that your work week got off to a good start. Today is the first day of my weight loss program with Nutrisytem and I am extremely excited, really looking forward to not only losing pounds and inches but once again concentrating on portion control. I am not going to bore you with daily updates on what I ate or how many pounds I did or did not lose, I just want to feature my look on Day 1 so that at the end of the month we’ll all see a noticeable difference.
I will wear this dress again on Day 28
Cuff – CitiTrends // Bag – Ross
Day 1 meals are complete, now heading downstairs to workout
