Wow, the weather this evening has really cooled down, as a matter of fact I might have to turn off the AC and open up the windows.
Saturday as I was clearing the pool deck in preparation to closing it for the season I started getting sad because I am going to miss the heat of the summer.

However, I am looking forward to less humid days and wearing maxi dresses like these will become a bit more regular.
This is one of my favorites because I can change out the gladiator sandals for a pair of flats or booties and just throw on a cardigan if there’s a nip in the air.
I wasn’t going to post today because I was a bit behind with my posts and not feeling up to writing yesterday because my first radio broadcast on AAU Teen Talk Radio didn’t turn out as well as I wanted.
I did well, but my headphones cut out a few times which cause dead air while live broadcasting and although I haven’t listened to the replay, I am disappointed. Hubby said, it was the first one and not to be too upset as did our Executive Producer Chevona, but still I am a bit upset.
Did you listen in? If not, I hope next Sunday you will have an opportunity to do so because the subject will be “Social Media Etiquette for Boomers”. Yesterday’s show was “Social Media Etiquette for Students” and my special guest was Lisa Bryant, who wrote a great blog post on social media and Greeks in College.
Well this too shall pass and I know that the broadcasts will get better, so it’s onward and upward, but right now, I heading upwards to bed as this is going to be a busy week.
Today was a busy day as I covered an event for AARPDelaware, and if you check my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages you’ll see some highlights from the “Adopt-A-Room” event held at the Ronald McDonald House. I will be writing a blog post about the Ronald McDonald House, so stay tuned, as the tour was very inspirational.
Oh, I forgot to ask, how was your weekend?

DUE TO TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES THE BROADCAST BEGINS AT 14:05 – LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!

Hello friends and welcome back to another episode of You Choose the Shoes. You have probably noticed by now that these posts are no longer being done weekly. I have been attending so many wonderful events in the state of Delaware that I wanted to showcase them first therefore, the fashion after fifty posts have taken a backseat on the blog.
I have also begun to pick up more clients for ABlake Enterprises so even my weekly posts on DeDivahDeals might begin to dwindle, but never fear, I will not abandon it totally!

Now on to this week’s contenders.
With this multi-color faux wrap dress, which you may remember from previous posts was thrifted from Goodwill and is definitely an easy breezy go-to dress for work.
I checked my shoe closet and decided on these two pairs so let me know which one you would have worn with the dress and also which purse.
It’s finally warm enough to keep the toes out so you know what that means…pedicure time! I have found a great mobile hair salon, and if you haven’t seen my interview video with Stephen Wilkerson, owner of SoZo Signature Mobile Salon, click on this link to check it out.
The mobile hair salon is a great idea for Weddings, Anniversaries, Proms, Quinceanera or just for a Girl’s Night Out. Check out their Facebook page and be on the lookout for some exciting events including giveaway packages and contests coming very soon.
Okay, which pair did you choose?

Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
Well we made it through another week and for that I am thankful. It was a roller coaster of events with all the strange things happening in the world. I continue to pray for the 3 kidnapped victims in Cleveland and no matter what he did in his past, Charles Ramsey, you are definitely to be commended for being at the right place at the right time – thank you bro!
The heat is on so I chose to wear a skirt instead of jeans as I normally do on casual Fridays.
Maxi skirt – Old Navy (last season) // Top – Rugged Wearhouse
Gladiator Sandals – DSW
I hope the temps remain high as the pool is scheduled to be opened next week!
Watch – Avon // Ring & Bracelets – jewelry box // nails be be done this afternoon!
Linking up with The Friday Chaos Blog Hop – come on over and join in on the fun!

Have a fantabulous evening – Smooches!

Today is going to be another hot and humid summer day but it’s FRI-YAY!!!! When I got home yesterday it was still 99 degrees but today it’s supposed to be cooler and stay in the low 90’s. My outfit of the day are closet staples purchased a couple years ago and are my go to comfort clothes. White denim capris and a sleeveless top always feels good and is cool enough to wear in this weather. I ventured into the back of the closet to find my summer sandals, these are one of my favorites purchased last year from Bear Feet Shoes. My jewelry is always a mix of gold and silver and today I added a bronze ring, bracelets, and earrings. Bronze is a metal that I also like to wear especially in the summer.
FRI-YAY !!!!
