Today’s “Friday Foodie Feature” is being preempted by these images which I captured this morning from my driveway.
As I sat in the car saying my “commuting prayer” I looked up to see a beautiful sun filled sky. I immediately stopped praying, grabbed the camera from the back seat and snapped three pictures. It was a few minutes past 8:00 am, and running late as usual I didn’t take time to review them. The sun was so bright while taking these pictures I couldn’t really see what I had shot.
Everyday when I get to work the first thing I do is read “Our Daily Bread” Devotion of the day. I hadn’t planned on viewing the pictures until later but when I saw the title of today’s devotion – THE GIFT OF LIGHT, I was filled with chills!
Now if you look at the pictures again you will notice red spots, strategic in their placement which may have come from the glare on the camera lens…
…but take a look at these cell phone pictures that I took last Saturday night as we crossed the Delaware Memorial Bridge a little after 8:00 p.m.

Hello Friends and Happy Sunday
There’s something special about going to a Church Service on a Sunday morning after a sad Saturday night. The lifting up of prayers in the sanctuary and bonding brightens your day and provides clarity.
I thank God for being blessed and highly favored and wish the same for you,
MAY PEACE AND BLESSINGS BE UPON YOU MY BLOGGY FRIENDS!

Oprah Winfrey launched the OWN Network on January 1, 2011, but I have to admit that I didn’t know what channel it was on nor what shows were being featured. That has since changed with the introduction of Tyler Perry’s two new hit shows, The Haves and The Have Nots on Tuesday nights and Love Thy Neighbor on Wednesday nights. My television cable box is now locked on VerizonFios Channel 161!
Tyler Perry, the genius behind the “Madea” stage plays and movies, had made his mark on the small screen with the TBS sitcoms House of Payne, Meet The Browns and For Better or Worse, which was based on his movie Why Did I Get Married?, but he has taken it to a whole new level with The Haves and The Have Nots!
Think of Dynasty, Falcon Crest and Dallas all rolled up for the 21st century, where the deceit and duplicity is doubled, but praying and thanking Jesus is the foundation. Not only is prayer and a strong belief in God prominently displayed in these shows, it is also what makes Tyler Perry the man that he is today. I honestly believe that his mother is sitting in Heaven on the right side of God, nudging him, saying, “see…see…that’s my boy…watch him work!”
Love Thy Neighbor is a sitcom featuring Mama Hattie, a strong woman running a diner, working hard and trying to keep her recently divorced daughter off her couch, because she just got her recently employed grandson off of it! I love Hattie’s feistiness and warm heart, and her voice will you have sitting upright. It seems as though all the cast members work extremely well together, each bringing their own style and flair. The stand outs are Tika Sumpter, who plays Candace, the beautiful devil diva in The Haves and The Have Nots, and Jonathon Chase, who plays Sam in Love Thy Neighbor, a hilarious man-child whose comedic timing and mannerisms reminds me of a young Jim Carrey!
If you haven’t seen The Haves and The Have Nots or Love Thy Neighbor, I urge you to check them out, I know once you start you’ll be hooked. When you do, make sure to join in on the weekly Twitter Chats because you never know, your tweet just might be retweeted by Oprah or Tyler – mine were!

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday, it’s another dark, damp and dreary day but my prayers were answered so for that I am thankful!
Driving into work this morning I was thinking about a financial situation and became a little depressed. When I got to my desk instead of reading today’s passage from “Our Daily Bread“, I read the scriptures on page 64, of “Gods Promises for every day“, What to do when you feel Worried“. In less than 5 minutes my phone rang with an answer to my prayers,
Tuesday’s Testimony – God is Good!
Give all your worries to him, because he cares about you – 1 Peter 5:7
Jesus said, “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and Trust in me.” John 14:1
Today’s outfit is a Tribal Throwback, hubby had these matching vests made during our first year of marriage in 1991, you know that newlywed stage when it was cute to dress alike! #2 son wanted his father’s vest, but he said, “no, wait until I retire and then you can have all my clothes”, so I gave him mine.
This morning I shopped my son’s closet for my vest.
