Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!
I was recently featured on the website “Fabulous After 40”, and chosen as “Glam Gal of the Week”, (click the link to read in case you missed it.)
I was also selected along with two other ladies who we weren’t afraid to wear the color red after the age of 40. The red sheath dress that I was wearing was received from eShakti as a product review. Sheath dresses are my favorite styles and even with the the change in weather they will remain forefront in my closet.
In today’s outfit I am wearing a color blocked sleeveless sheath dress from Avon. I gave the outfit an edgier look with the pleather jacket thrifted from GW Boutique (Goodwill), studded booties and stud and spike accessories.
Remember when I purchased this Spike Necklace/Earring Set on my birthday at Rugged Wearhouse for a $1.00 on clearance?
Stud & Buckle Booties – Ross
House of Dereon Bag – Burlington Coat Factory
Last Friday I also wore a color block sleeveless sheath dress purchased from Ross with a pair of suede over-the-knee boots and long knit sweater.
These pictures were taken at at Camera’s Etc in Newark (pardon the drunken eyes)
I believe these rhinestone embellished boots were also purchased a few seasons ago from Ross.
As you can see, I have no intentions of putting away my sleeveless sheath dresses anytime soon.
How about you, what are your wardrobe items that you’ll wear in any season?
I was inspired by Transatlantic Blonde in wearing footless tights with a dress, and they were purchased at Target.
Today I am linking up with What I Wore Wednesday with The Pleated Poppy, come on over and meet some new bloggers.
DON’T FORGET – TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES TO WIN THE LEONISA MEN’S SHAPEWEAR (STOCKING STUFFER)
Have a fantabulous day – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
In Delaware it is officially Autumn, the temps have dropped considerably (in the 50’s) and hubby even turned on the heat which I am definitely not happy about!
This sleeveless top was thrifted from GW Boutique (Goodwill) and the slacks were purchase a few seasons ago at Boscov’s. Asymmetrical sweater was purchased either at TJMaxx or Marshall’s also a few seasons ago.
Put on a sweater if you are cold – “don’t turn on the ding dang dong heat – man!” Can you tell that I am a miser – heck you can even call me Scrooge!
Pour little tomato, it waited too late in the season to ripen so now it’s a “half and half” tomato – do you have a recipe for Fried Green Tomatoes?
Pumps // Avon
I love the fact that Avon has really “stepped up” their shoe game because not only are they cute but they are also extremely comfortable!
Have you started wearing your Autumn Attire?
It snowed in upstate New York and Ohio so soon I will be wearing sweaters, hats, scarves and gloves – I am so not ready but maybe this year, hubby will be able to use his snow blower!
Have a fantabulous afternoon/evening – Smooches!

Donating to or shopping at Goodwill® is more than chic or the “in thing” to do, it’s also helping someone in your community and we all can use a little help sometimes.

Hello Friends…it’s
This week I am thankful for the following:
hubby and son’s covered the pool before I got home and they did it correctly!
had a lazy…do-nothing…no makeup…didn’t-even-leave-the-house weekend
ironed almost all of my clothes
finally defrosted the freezer in garage
watched season premier of The Walking Dead
#1 son is doing well and is actively seeking full time employment – say a little prayer for him
#2 son attended his final Homecoming Dance and was home before midnight
discovered and watched the new show “Sleepy Hollow” and now I am hooked
but most importantly, I am thankful for my health, family, friends , finances and of course my faith
oh and that tomorrow is Fri-Yay!
Thrifted Pumps from GW Boutique (Goodwill) – Do you remember this haul?
Speaking of which I am about due for another one – lol!

Thrifted from Goodwill
I wore this outfit on Wednesday and chose to add the red blazer because the weather was a bit cool early morning
This was another beautifully blessed week despite the 3 hour commute into work yesterday due to a tractor trailer accident on route 896 – no one was seriously injured just cited for inattentive driving!
Now it’s your turn, what are you thankful for this week?

Hello Friends and Happy Monday
Today is Columbus Day so most schools and Federal offices are closed, unfortunately I am no longer in school nor do I work for the Federal Government so I had to go to work. Fortunately, without the school buses and heavy traffic the drive in wasn’t too bad, but I’m sure it won’t be the same heading home.
Oh well, at least it’s not raining – Happy Blue Monday!
Last night before the season’s premier of The Walking Dead I was able to press out a lot of clothes including my outfits for the week. Today’s Dressing for Less outfit is dedicated to The Walking Dead because I feel like a zombie after staying up to watch The Talking Dead, then 2 episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
In case you are wondering…I slept like a baby because horror doesn’t bother me which is why October if my favorite month for television watching, especially Halloween night. My all time favorite horror movie is the original 1968, black and white version of Night of the Living Dead…a classic…”Barbara, they are coming to get you!”
Are you a fan(atic) of The Walking Dead if so, what did think of last night’s premier – too much too soon? Why did they have to kill off Greg from #EverybodyHatesChris ? Yuck, he coughed that virus into the communal water basin..uh oh! Twitter was blowing up last night with all kinds of theories, this is going to be a roller coaster season!

These shoes definitely don’t have me walking like a Zombie! If you are looking for fashionable yet comfortable pumps – contact your Avon Rep or check out my Avon website because these shoes are SUPER COMFORTABLE!

Purse is also Avon (mark)

Sleeveless Shift dress was thrifted from Goodwill and George Sweater from Walmart.

Are you a fan of horror movies, and if so, what is your all time favorite?

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday
I trust you all had an enjoyable weekend with an opportunity to be outdoors as it was simply gorgeous in our neck of the woods. On Saturday, it was a bright, sunny 85 degrees, a perfectly glorious Indian Summer day.
I spent the day at Dutch Country Farmers Market trying to make a little extra cash, de-cluttering my nest trying to get rid of items that we no longer need, want or use anymore. On the first Saturday of every month beginning in April and ending in November, you can rent 3 parking spaces for $15.00, to turn your trash into someone else’s treasure!

Yes…I sold a Mink Coat! I wish PETA would!

A perfect fit, now she waits for the cold weather!
I didn’t get much of a chance to walk around which is a good thing, because I didn’t want to spend my profits nor did I need to buy more stuff only to get rid of it later.

Trying to turn my trash into someone else’s treasure!
You can find almost anything at a Flea Market, some things are usable others are just unusual, check out what had me scratching my head. I tried to figure out the thought process going into making these purchases – what do you think?
I hope this didn’t come from a major intersection!

Okay…so where do you use these?
Happy Halloween My Pretties!

Perfect for the front porch to scare away the kiddies or put in the window to repel a thief!

Family Fun for a Buck!
For Family Fun Game night, I can understand that, but Rummikub is an old game and there were missing pieces…even at a buck I didn’t understand this purchase.
Speaking of unusual, check out these cool modes of transportation.

Jazzier than a Hover Round

Love a BMore Raven’s Fan!

No need for speed here!
It was a long day but I made enough money to pay for groceries and was still able to donate 7 boxes of clothing and miscellaneous household items to Goodwill.

Flea Market Finds Are Fun!
What is the funniest Flea Market find you’ve ever seen or purchased?
