Good Tuesday morning, the 2nd day of the 3rd heat wave of the year, so stay cool and hydrated and if you know any elderly please check in on them. Today I stepped out of my comfort zone and decided to mix patterns but only with the shoes. At first I was a little uneasy but it doesn’t look that bad, so next time I may try mixing other wardrobe pieces.

I hope everyone had a fan-tab-u-lous weekend. Ours was uneventful and restful so now I am fully charged to begin a new work week. Last night we finally got some much needed rain and today the Lord has blessed up with a bright and sunny Monday!

Last week’s heat wave officially ended on Monday with temps only reaching 89 degrees, but today it’s expected to be 92 or higher. Last week my outfits were shorts, tanks and bathing suits but that’s not going to fly at work, so cotton is the perfect fabric to keep me cool in this weather. The sleeveless cotton shirt and skirt were thrifted from two different Goodwill stores earlier in the season.

It’s FRI-YAY the beginning of what is predicted to be a gorgeous weekend. I plan on getting my inside chores done early so that I can sit poolside reading magazines, listening to music and sipping a few cold ones!!! I am not sure what my sons have planned for their pops but hopefully it includes eating out so that I don’t have to cook! I am wishing you all a safe, fun filled, fan-tab-u-lous weekend and Happy Father’s Day to all the dads.

If you read my Monday blog you know that my week started out mis-matched because I was unable to prepare my outfits for the week on Sunday night.. It didn’t get any better and to make matters worse I stayed up late last night watching the 2-hour premier of Dallas (OMG IT WAS MUST SEE TV) which is why I have 2 OOTD entries today. The dress is BLUE and white polka dot but the shoes were BLACK and white polka dot and even though my son said, “mom it looks alright – I’m tired of taking pictures , I changed my shoes and accessories and this what I ended up wearing to work.

Yea, today is my “FRI-YAY” because tomorrow I am off from work for my monthly staycation day. Tayair and I will hit up the DMV early to renew his license and then have his car inspected. I would love to go to the movies but with schools being closed the last thing I want to do is stand in a long line for MIB3, even though I want to see it – I love me some “Big Willy from Philly”!
I spent my lunch hour at Charmingly Linda’s Consignment Shop for her Memorial Days Blowout Sale and got some great buys that I will post later. While there I assisted a customer in selecting a dress and accessories for a wedding, it was a blast acting as a “fashion consultant”, it just might be my retirement career!
The official start of summer and yet it was another rainy overcast day, but we are blessed to have lived to see another one so the complaining stops here. Have a fan-tab-u-lous day!
