In the early 2000’s, I had a job that permitted me to work from home on Fridays and I enjoyed dressing down in jeans and slippers. I no longer have that job nor the luxury of working from home on Fridays, but it hasn’t stopped me from dressing down in jeans and
OOTD – Before and After Church
Hello Friends and Happy Sunny Sunday
This morning’s church service was blessed with a sermon by a visiting minister from Wilmington, and visiting guests from a small neighboring church in Middletown. A great way to start off the week and I am looking forward to an even more blessed work week, I hope it’s the same for you!

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday
It’s mid-week, the temps are rising and the sun will be shining – all is good in the neighborhood! Dark and dreary days really take a toll on the mind and body, which is not good when trying to lose weight. I need to step up my Zumba workouts and cut back on the carbs so that my clothes fit better…this skirt is tight!
Does the weather or seasons affect your weight?
Watch – Traci Lynn // Bracelet – Flea Market Vendor // Ring – Avon // Earrings – Icings
Both the skirt and top were thrifted from GW Boutique (Goodwill). The top was made in Hong Kong and has a very unique design with the metal rectangles sewn onto the front.
Wearing my “Betty Boop” Polka Dot Pumps from Ross
Changed dark tights for nude tone pantyhose and added scarf
Black & White Tight!

Good Monday Morning Friends, I hope you had a nice weekend and if you are a Raven’s fan – CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
We didn’t have a Super Bowl party but my son invited two of his buddies over to watch the game and they had a great time. I made chicken wings, pizza and slow cooked barbecue meatballs which they ate well before half time! We were all very excited to watch the Ravens win especially after the 30 minute blackout, which caused a lot of anxiety for the fans, even Twitter shut down for a short time. Blue Ivy’s mom was on fiyah and I enjoyed her performance with Destiny Child but not all of this year’s commercials performed well. Once again, Dorito’s knocked it out of the park with the Goat and “Daddy Princesses; I also liked the Tide “stain”, eTrade baby and Budweiser commercials but missed the one with the Clydesdale horses. The “Go Daddy” ad was disgusting and Dodge Ram was disappointing because of the lack of diversity in their “God Made Farmers” commercial and if I hear that Gangum Style song used again I’ma scream!
I am not a football aficionado so I cannot comment on the actual game, only that I love Ray Rice because I grew up with his mother and aunt in New Rochelle, NY. Back in the day I dated and almost married his great uncle, Kevin, but that was way before he was born and a story for another time…it’s just a distant memory now….
The game ended late and I didn’t prepare my clothes for the week so once again I hit the back of the closet and pulled out this pantsuit.
The remnants of last night’s snowfall as well as a bit of wind greeted us this morning

OOTD- Wearing Red for Women
This February marks the 10th year of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women® movement.
Despite a lot of progress, there’s still a long way to go, because heart disease continues to be the No. 1 killer of women, taking more lives than all kinds of cancer combined.
Show your support by joining a challenge and sharing it with friends and adding your voice to the Go Red movement. Together, we can end heart disease.

This morning we were surprised with a “Snow Burst”, it was beautiful but made for a very dangerous commute, it took me 2.5 hours to get to work! I passed several accidents but made it safely which is all that matters, and this evening we will be celebrating Malik’s 17th birthday!

OOTD – Winter Wednesday
Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day Wednesday
Being outside this morning was a little more bearable because of the lack of wind however, the temps are forecast to remain in the teens until at least the weekend. To that end, I would like to say to all of my left coast friends …”STOP COMPLAINING BECAUSE IT’S 40 DEGREES!!!“
I truly don’t mind the cold weather because it allows me to dress in layers and then make adjustments as necessary. For example today I am wearing a sleeveless grey dress covered with a blazer so if I have a “personal summer” I can simply remove the blazer until it passes.
This outfit started with shoes but in the sunshine the tights took on a weird greenish tint so I changed to my OTK, black suede boots.
This black faux fur once belonged to my sister so you know it’s been around since the late 80’s – I really don’t like driving in it because of the bulk.

OOTD – Sunday Service
Hello Friends and Happy Sunday
This morning’s Church service was good, unfortunately the building was without heat but our souls was warmed by the Word. I hope the rest of your day goes well and if you are off tomorrow for Dr. King’s Birthday, (I’m not), enjoy and be a blessing to someone!
I was really excited to realize that the Miche bag I had purchased in November at the Holiday Open House, matched the shoes that I purchased from Target last week. Don’t you love when that happens?
Dress – Ross // Blazer – GW Boutique (Goodwill) // Python Print Pumps – Mossimo via Target // Python Print Purse – Miche // Earrings, Bracelet and Necklace – jewelry box

Hello Friends and Happy Tuesday!
Today we reflect on what would have been the 84th Birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a great man…can you imagine what might have been had he lived?
RIP Dr. King
