Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
It’s going to be another cold weekend so I’m staying indoors to do some early Spring cleaning…yes, I’m even doing the boring chores. I don’t know about you, but I am super anxious for the warmer weather to get here so I can shed the layers and put away the snow shovel. Even though we have several more months before we get to that point, I wanted to at least get a jump start on it now.
I refuse to let the wintery winds of January stop me from thinking about or even shopping for the Spring season because now is the best time to do so. I recently signed up as an affiliate for Hannah Jane, a new online boutique with some great clothing and accessories at affordable prices. I found a few cute pieces on sale/clearance that I will be adding to my Spring wardrobe, take a look and let me know what you think.
I recently saw a fellow blogger in a classic white T-shirt, so I want to incorporate them into my wardrobe. This Yellow Bubble necklace would be a perfect accessory to jazz it up.
Fuchsia is such a fun Spring color and in jeans it will be great for a casual Friday outfit.
You know that I love all things Polka Dot and this top paired with a Houndstooth infinity scarf would be great to wear on an early chilly Spring morning or evening.
Or would it look better with the red scarf?
You definitely can’t go wrong with a White or Ivory button down blouse and I wish they had this skirt in stock!
I immediately feel in love with this striped comfy, casual knit dress. I could wear it with boots as shown or with pumps to work or even with ballet flats to run errands on the weekend. What do you think?
We do have a few months of cold weather ahead, so I’ll wear a turtleneck underneath this sweater.
AND… I finally found a pair of riding boots in my price range!
The great thing about shopping at Hannah Jane, other than the prices is that they offer FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $50, and a flat $4.99 rate for orders under $50.
If you get a chance, head over to their website and take advantage of the 20% off one item sale and if you sign up for the Newsletter you’ll get an additional discount off of your first order. #winning

Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
Today is the 2nd week of the #WWDParty, and the link will be live at 6:00 p.m. So after you get home and wind down, come back and share a link or two of any of your posts from the week.
One of my favorite fashion blogs is FreeUrCloset and this week Nensi featured “How to Layer Like a Pro” which I wanted to try but am by no means a Pro! I can’t wear a lot of layers because I’m warm by nature and menopause definitely doesn’t make it any better so this is what I came up with.
Layer 1 and 2 if you count the Infinity Scarf
Layer 3 is the vest. Believe it or not, this Cable Knit Sweater once belonged to Gloria, my sister so that makes it at least 25 years old!
Boots | Rugged Wearhouse // Handbag | Mark by Avon
Infinity Scarf | Burlington Coat Factory
Reversible Vest | Old Navy
So what do you think – semi-Pro?

Hello Friends and Happy Monday
Today is Columbus Day so most schools and Federal offices are closed, unfortunately I am no longer in school nor do I work for the Federal Government so I had to go to work. Fortunately, without the school buses and heavy traffic the drive in wasn’t too bad, but I’m sure it won’t be the same heading home.
Oh well, at least it’s not raining – Happy Blue Monday!
Last night before the season’s premier of The Walking Dead I was able to press out a lot of clothes including my outfits for the week. Today’s Dressing for Less outfit is dedicated to The Walking Dead because I feel like a zombie after staying up to watch The Talking Dead, then 2 episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
In case you are wondering…I slept like a baby because horror doesn’t bother me which is why October if my favorite month for television watching, especially Halloween night. My all time favorite horror movie is the original 1968, black and white version of Night of the Living Dead…a classic…”Barbara, they are coming to get you!”
Are you a fan(atic) of The Walking Dead if so, what did think of last night’s premier – too much too soon? Why did they have to kill off Greg from #EverybodyHatesChris ? Yuck, he coughed that virus into the communal water basin..uh oh! Twitter was blowing up last night with all kinds of theories, this is going to be a roller coaster season!
These shoes definitely don’t have me walking like a Zombie! If you are looking for fashionable yet comfortable pumps – contact your Avon Rep or check out my Avon website because these shoes are SUPER COMFORTABLE!
Purse is also Avon (mark)
Sleeveless Shift dress was thrifted from Goodwill and George Sweater from Walmart.
Are you a fan of horror movies, and if so, what is your all time favorite?

Hello Friends and Happy Monday…Monday…Monday, I hope your weekend was all that you wanted it to be and then some!
One of my weekend missions is to have all of the closets cleaned out by the end of the summer…or at least all of the bedroom closets cleaned out! Last Saturday after working with my son in his, we decided to store the sweaters and sweatshirts in Original Space Bags which were purchased from Ross

The Space Bags are sealed tight when the air is removed using a vacuum
They aren’t as flat as I wanted but it’s still a good space saver

I organized some of my shoes with this Over-The-Door Shoe Rack by Mainstays purchased from Walmart
These will be sorted by color
I’ll get plastic shoe boxes from Dollar Tree for these summer shoes/sandals
Also purchased a Mainstays 2-Tier Garment Rack for skirts
The rack will be put into the spare bedroom freeing up additional space in my closet
Next week another closet….
Have a fantabulous day – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay ~ Fri-Yay ~ Fri-Yay!!!
Wow where did the week go? Are you planning something fun and exciting for the weekend? I’m having my car serviced in the morning and then working on income taxes in the afternoon – Whoopie!!! I will be stopping by The Java House Cafe to discuss promoting a community event happening next week so that will make my Saturday more fun and exciting.
Today the weather is gorgeous and according to Punxsutawney Phil Spring is only 3 weeks away, however, I am not ready to break out the pastels or put away the boots. My casual Friday’s attire is still winter with jeans, a sweater, scarf, boots and silver jewelry accessories.

Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve!
Can you believe it’s the last Thursday of the month, tomorrow is the first day of February. February 1st is also my “baby boy’s” Birthday and he will be 17 – somebody is getting old and it isn’t me!!!!
February, 1996, two days after he was born we were hit with a major snow storm that kept us house bound for almost a month. I hope that doesn’t happen again, the storm of 2010 was more than enough to last a lifetime – remember that one?
No snow storms in the forecast, just bright sunshine and high winds, but not like what tore through some southern states last night – we are truly blessed!
Sweater and Slacks are both closet staples // Blue Suede Booties – The Shoe Dept // Scarf – Target
These blue suede booties are different than the one’s featured here. They were purchased last year from The Shoe Dept, and also came in red which I didn’t get – wish I had because it would have saved me from going to the mall today. By the way, have you been to JC Penney’s lately? If not, GO, they have $1 ~ $3 ~ $5 and $10 clearance racks, I got a red skirt and a pair of capris for $5 each! Their new “one price no sales” marketing campaign didn’t work out so well, and now they are restructuring, so head over for some great bargains. The “housewives of Exton” were racking up on kids clothes on clearance for a dollar which are better deals than Goodwill!
Have a good afternoon – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy Friday Eve!
This week is flying by and tomorrow is the first day of winter or Winter Solstice, the shortest day and the longest night of the year – are you ready? After the 21st, the days start to get longer and I begin to think Spring – yay!!! However, in anticipation and celebration of Winter Solstice I decided to go full wool in gray including an oversized sweater thrifted from GW Boutique (Goodwill).
Sweater and Skirt – GW Boutique (Goodwill) // Footless Tights – Rugged Wearhouse // Boots and Scarf- Closet staples
These are my favorites “go-to” boots, I wear them throughout the fall and winter months with pants and skirts
Wearing silver accessories which is my favorite metal for the winter
I will definitely NOT be wearing a coat or jacket because all of this wool will definitely keep me warm and toasty!
Happy Last Day of Fall 2012 – Smooches!
P.S. Don’t want to hear no mess about tomorrow being the end of the world – puhleeze!!!!

Thursday I drove to Goodwill in Exton, it had been a while since I was there last and I’m on the hunt for scarves and striped shirts. I didn’t find either but I did find some other Goodwill Goodies. Remember the post when I stated that I was looking for Cowboy boots, well it took almost 4 months but I found them, a pair of NEW Mossimo (Target) boots for $8.99!
Chaus Blue Skirt and Morgan Taylor Studio Red Skirt – $3.50 each
apparenza blouse (new with tags) and Soft Works print top – $1.75 each
$5.25 outfits
Oversize Nutcracker Grey Sweater (will wear over leggings) and New York & Company Knit Top – $3.50 each
Valet for my son – $8.97 // Towel holder – $2.97, I’ll use for bracelets or necklaces
Dolce&Gabbana Purse – $10.50
I liked these cute Anne Klein shoes but they weren’t my size
Next week I’ll hit Thorndale!

Hello friends and happy Saturday, “Shop Small Business Saturday” which is a wonderful event to promote and support local businesses during the holiday season. Before shopping locally in Middletown I had to pick up my new glasses from Halpern Eye Care and was excited to get them. When I went in for my annual appointment I spent well over an hour trying on different frames to find just the right ones and I think this time I did! I chose a sunglasses frame by the Guess brand and they fit my face just as I wanted them too. It didn’t hurt that the case is a leopard print although it’s large and bulky.
The winter weather is knocking on the back door so I had to break out the bin of sweaters, this one belonged to my sister and is one of my favorites. I love these fingerless gloves which were purchased several years ago from Kmart. Jeans and purse were thrifted from GW Boutique (Goodwill), scarf purchased from “The Bag Lady” Home Purse Party, boots are closet staples, earrings from Rugged Wearhouse and XOXO Sunnies were won in a Penny Chic contest.
I hope you have a fantabulous evening – Smooches!

Hello friends and Happy FRI-YAY!!
I love this time of the year, the autumn colors are so vibrant and the air is crisp and clean ~ “it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas”. Here we are, one week before the infamous “Black Friday” shopping frenzy, though some stores are opening on Thursday now being labeled as “Black Thursday”. Will you be out shopping or standing in long lines waiting for the latest gadget or gizmo? I’ve never done it but really want that $99.00 camera deal being advertised by Target – aah I can wait.
Today is casual Friday so I decided to wear a khaki skirt with a sweater and booties.
Attention Booties – Kmart // Khaki Skirt – Goodwill // Khaki Creme Striped Top – Kmart
The beauty of autumn colors is breath taking!
