REPOSTING FROM LAST YEAR - THE DECK STILL LOOKS GOOD AFTER 1 SEASON!
A few weeks ago we purchased Deck RESTORE from Home Depot because it was time to start the outdoor projects and staining the deck was #1 on my list. In all honesty, I don't like using stain because it's messy, time consuming and never seems to last long enough for me.

Hello Friends and Happy Sunday
I hope you had a good weekend with an opportunity to spend quality time with your family/friends and did something fun and enjoyable. Yesterday, I took my car in for an oil change and Malik was my chauffeur so I took full advantage by having him drive me all around town running errands – it was good being Mommy! I had him drive me to Dunkin Donuts, Dutch Country Farmers Market, Family Dollar, PNC Bank and then finally to Lowe’s it was fun for me, not so much for him.
We gave him Tayair’s old car, remember the 2002 Hyundai Elantra, well you would have thought it was a new Mercedes because when he realized the plants had to ride in the back seat he wasn’t happy! I purchased two hanging baskets, a Color Combo Patio plant, Sweet Basil, Heirloom Tomatoes, Curled Parsley and Cilantro and they rode shotgun in the back seat fully protected by a yard of plastic – it was hilarious!
Hanging baskets – Petunias, Calibrachoa and Lobelia
Curled Parsley – boil and drink like tea it’s great for the digestive system
Cilantro is a wonderful fragrant herb
Basil also keeps the bugs away from your garden
Hibiscus is a perfect patio plant
Love the handles on these hanging baskets
Time to check out
The plants riding in the back seat (along with vacuum cleaner)
Today I cleaned in and around the pool and cleared out my little garden which was overrun with Mint from last year.
Have a wonderful evening – Smooches!
Hello Friends and Happy Saturday!
A few weeks ago at The Java House Cafe I had the pleasure of meeting Marissa G., owner/baker of Eden’s Touch Bread Company. She was there to feature her Specialty Loaves of Homemade Breads, “made with love, no chemicals or preservatives”. Eden’s Touch Bread Company delivers fresh baked products at affordable prices and delivers exceptional customer satisfaction. The bakery is located in Collingdale, PA, however, they ship nationwide as well as make local deliveries to the Philadelphia tri-state area. Eden’s Touch Bread Company also features other items including Gluten Free Gourmet Butter, Croutons and Bread Mixes (menu).
I purchased two of the mini Banana Walnut loaves and couldn’t wait to get them home to try. I had one warm slice with my afternoon tea and then my men ate the rest! I wished I had purchased others to
hide store in the freezer, I’ll place an online order.
Eden’s Touch Bread Company is a new business, only a year old and they recently launched a go fund me campaign to raise money for a larger oven. The goal is to raise $500, and if you would like to donate and receive a gift certificate please click the bread pic below.

It’s finally Friday and the heat is on!
I am so ready for the weekend and tomorrow’s plans include clearing out my little garden because the mint has taken over! I want to add some basil, peppers and tomatos and get a few flowering baskets to hang around the deck.
It’s time to fire up the grill and spend evenings sitting outside, I love this time of the year!
What are your plans for the weekend?

It’s an an online virtual 3-day/3 hour conference with some great topics and speakers and I am psyched!! I expect to gain the knowledge necessary to help me grow my blog and am looking forward to meeting other bloggers as well – will you be there?
The pool is now open and because The Blog Workshop begins in the evenings I’ll have plenty of time to work outside in preparation of the Memorial Day holiday.
