Moody Blue Monday | OOTD
Hello friends, I hope all is well in your world.
Yesterday hubby and I dropped Malik off at Bowie State University for a 3-day Freshmen Orientation, needless to say, I am now feeling a little blue. #seperationanxiety
Moms with little ones, please be patient and enjoy these crazy toddler times because soon and very soon, they too will be leaving the nest all too soon.
A few weeks ago hubby and I were supposed to attend a wedding, however, at the last minute I decided not to go…another moody blue day but this is what I was going to wear.
This was a thrifted (new) Phillip Lim for Target dress from Goodwill.
These gorgeous sandals were purchased from Payless and went perfectly with the dress, I would have looked ‘fly’ right?
This beaded evening purse has been in my closet since forever, as a matter of fact I took it to my High School prom!!
It is rough for awhile and then you slowly get used to it. Love the shoes btw.
Thank you.
Another great Ensemble!!! As for separation anxiety it’s just another chapter in our parenting journey enjoy you will be fine, the boys will be great!!!
Thank you, I know, this too shall pass.
You look better than fly in this outfit. . .Gorgeous is what I saw. You will get over this empty nest feeling real quick when you know that you the hubby can have the place to yourself to do whatever, whenever. . .LOL!
aaah, but you must remember, we still have our oldest in the house… Thank you, and I do hope you are having a wonderful week my BlogSistah!
I know it’s hard, but it will get easier! I’m sure he’ll be home to visit more than you think! Looking good in your blue, though 🙂 Sending you a hug!!
Thank you, I’m sure he will do fine and it will give me an opportunity to thoroughly clean his room! Thanks for the hug, I needed it!
I’m not looking forward to the day when my girls leaves the nest so I’m going to cherish every moment I got with them.
I’m loving your fly blue outfit!
Yes, you better because the time is going to fly by way too fast!!
Those heels are FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!! Love it. The entire outfit is super as well, but the shoes are calling my name 🙂

I know, I tell people not to sleep on Payless as they have really stepped up their game!
You look gorgeous and those shoes are FAB-U-LOUS!!! I want them
Thank you, they had them in pink and I wish I had gotten them as well.
Malik will be fine and eventually you will too:-) What a shame you did not go to the wedding. You look fabulous.
Yes, I know…this too shall pass. I didn’t know the people who got married and I had been working outside all morning. You know how that is, you don’t want to stop doing what you had planned!
Saw your instagram photos and I kinda have a feeling the house feels emptier than normal without Malik around. *hugs*
Your Philip Lim dress is beautiful! I was eyeing that too when they had it on sale but could not justify buying a brand new dress LOL even if on sale! I might get lucky too and find it in our Goodwill. You look fab and love the choice of shoes!
Yes, it’s amazing but it is more quiet because Tayair basically stays in his room and since the surgery isn’t very talkative. I have stayed at work longer and not rushing home in the evenings. BTW Target donates a lot of their out of season clothes which is how I got this blue and a black Phillip Lim dress…you know I would never had paid full price. Hope you are having a good week.
Looking oh so beautiful in blue! <3
Thank you sweet lady, hope you are having a wonderful week.
What a lovely outfit. Those shoes are BAD, sis! You sure would’ve turned it out! 🙂 Congrats again to your son. At least he’s not too far away. 😉

Thank you lil sis, yes, Maryland is not too far but just far enough for him to learn about the real world. We’ve laid the foundation now it’s time for him to spread his wings and fly. Thanks for the compliment and check out Thursday’s post to read about Freshmen Orientation.
Wowsa, you look awesome lady, perfect fit. Love the detail at the neck and the perfect shoe. You said it best, “you laid the foundation”. He will do great things and you’ll be fine!

Thank you, that little rhinestone “thingy” does set off the neckline of the dress. Yes, you are correct, I too believe he will do well but praying hard anyway – lol
