I recently read an article about touch screen gloves by The North Face company that allows users to use their Smartphones to text in the cold weather without having to remove them. Being the frugal fashionista that I am, I doubt if I’ll ever purchase a pair considering the $45 cost and the fact that I really do not need them. I don’t live in New York City or Philadelphia, my commute is in the car which of course is a no texting while driving zone, so for the short amount of time I do spend outdoors, I think my fingers can handle it.
Today’s dress for less outfit is accented by a pink suede jacket from GW Boutique (Goodwill) and faux suede loafers from Wally World (Walmart) that I DIY studded.
Pink is obviously one of my favorite colors as evidenced by my OtterBox cell phone shell.
Slacks and scarf are closet staples and polka dot top is also thrifted from GW Boutique.
What do you think, would you purchase a pair of the touchscreen gloves or do you already have a pair?
Those texting gloves do work but ain’t cheap. Sears or JCP might have some on sale by now. And if you get the sniffles from posing in the snow I am so going to tsk tsk you!
I got a pair of touchscreen gloves during the Christmas sales. Mine are a cute leopard print so I wear them all the time but I don’t use them for my phone as often as I thought I would. I”m just glad I didn’t pay anything near $45 for them!
I found a pair of Touchpoint gloves at Marshall’s. I think they were around $29 but Marshall’s price was $14. I’ve actually used them more than I thought, mainly in New York at Thanksgiving. And it’s staying colder here longer than usual so I do recommend them if you can find a deal.
Nice scarf! I bought a pair of touchscreen gloves for about $20 at Costco. I haven’t used them once! We’ve had a much better winter in Vancouver than the rest of Canada and the US. But it’s gotten a bit colder this week so I might need to use my touchscreen gloves when I fill up with gas.

I know you will…Happy Tuesday!
I got a pair from Walmart with matching ear band (or whatever it’s called).
Cool, never thought about Wally World but a friend offered me a pair and you know I love all things FREE!
Cute outfit! Love the jacket! 🙂
Thank you, one of my favorite thrifty finds.
I think I remember reading somewhere that you can make your own touchscreen gloves!
Really, I need to Google that. Hope you are having a good week!

That’s great, I can’t imagine paying $45 for a pair of gloves!! Have a happy Hump Day Wednesday.
Loving your outfit! The jacket and shoes are my favorite. The pink looks fab on you
Thank you my dear!
No, because I’m a luddite and I just have a simple text-and-call nokia. Can’t get used to touchscreens!
Good for you…a phone should only be used for making and taking calls!
I got a pair for Christmas 2 years ago and that reminds I need to find them! Love that pink jacket.
Did you find them?

Thanks, I’ve been given some great tips…thank you and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!

That’s a great price, I usually use gloves at the gas station because I am a germaphobe when it come to those pump handles…yuck!!!
I thought of you last night when I got gas but didn’t have my touchscreen gloves on to keep me warm! Next time! 😉
Lol – gotta keep them in the car. Have a good weekend!
The texting gloves are a great idea, but I they wouldn’t be worth it for me either as I commute in my car and tend to avoid the world if it’s cold!
