Hello Friends…I’m back and so did son and I – we went back to Cowgirl’s Creamery and it was definitely worth it. I am not a big sweet-eater especially ice cream, but the thought of having Farm Fresh Hand Dipped Ice Cream for dessert was too hard to resist. So much so that I ate my 2 scoops of Coconut ice cream as I was preparing dinner!
The cows were back in the barn at Emerson Farms but the goats were out at Cowgirl’s.

Hello Friends and Happy Sunday
The beginning of a new week and the 1st sunny Sunday in August was a fantastic day. Before going to the grocery store my son and I stopped at Cowgirls Creamery in anticipation of eating some hand dipped ice cream made with fresh milk from down the road at Emerson Farms. Unfortunately we arrived too early in the afternoon so we decided to take a few pictures instead.
Emerson Farms has been in existence since 1947, and is less than 5 miles from our house, however, it was the first time I’ve ever stopped. The recent road construction created a Roundabout which makes it easier to enter Jamison Corner Road where the farm is located.
I tried to explain to my son how blessed we are to live so closely to an active farm and how fresh ice cream tastes better than anything purchased in a grocery store.
Got Milk?
Thinking about eating ice cream!
Can your milk get any fresher than this?
Arrived to early…I’ll be back!

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday!
Here we are again, the 1st Saturday of the month so you know where to find me – set up at Dutch Country Farmers Market in Middletown. I am still trying to purge household items, clothing, books, shoes anything I don’t need in order to make a few extra dollars and leave less to pack or donate when we decide to downsize.
As in most states you’ll find community yard sales, but did you know that the longest yard sale starts in North Addison, Michigan and goes through to Gadsen, Alabama? It is 690 miles long and people stake out their front yards along Hwy 127 for 4 days to sell new and used items!
According to the 127sale.com website, the yard sale officially starts the first Thursday in August and runs through to the following Sunday but this year it started on the 1st. People travel from the North, South, East and West some make it an annual event renting RV’s and camping out year after year. “An exchange of cultures with a common goal; to look, buy and sale!”
Can you imagine taking a week’s vacation to go to a Yard Sale? Oh well, I’ll just stick with my little space in the parking lot on the first Saturday of the month from April to November!
Flea Markets are fun because you never know what you’ll find!

This school desk is refinished, but did you ever carve your initials into yours?
Have a fantastical day – Smooches!

Hello Friends and Happy Fri-Yay!
This week’s Foodie Feature is a 4 ingredient but less than 40 minute meal. I was in 3 different grocery stores last week, Sunday at Safeway with hubby for the major shopping, then after work on Tuesday at ShopRite and again on Wednesday at Food Lion with my son who needed to get supplies for a BBQ on Friday.
In Shoprite I was looking for ingredients to make the Turkey Tacos and noticed the Veetee Thai Jasmine Rice, my men really like Jasmine Rice so I bought a pack to try. In Food Lion the Campbell’s Skillet Sauces were on sale and even though I didn’t have my coupons I got it to use with chicken I had in the frig.
Ingredients
- Chicken
- Veetee Thai Jasmine Rice
- Campbell’s Skillet Sauce (Thai Green Curry)
- Vegetable or Olive Oil
Heat 1 Tbls oil then add 1 lb of chicken breast, slice or diced according to your preference
Cook until no longer pink, 10-12 minutes then add Campbell’s Skillet Sauce
Reduce heat, cover and cook an additional 5 minutes
Microwave Thai Jasmine Rice for 2 minutes
Spoon chicken over rice and serve
It’s a bit spicy but my men loved it and I was out of the kitchen quickly!
Have a fantabulous Friday!
